My wishes concern gameplay and the Association mode, which I almost exclusively play.
Gameplay- A more controllable passing system, perhaps L2/LT + Right Stick? Up for lob, down for bounce, left and right to shuffle through targets. X for a regular pass. It would be nice to have more control and prevent those inadvertent turnovers.
- There should be a higher variety of foul calls, not just on shots. There aren't many off-ball fouls, nor are there many charges outside of intentionally attempting to draw one. Also, being shoved out of bounds or off the ball is frustrating. The implementation of technical and flagrant fouls would be nice to see, too.
Association- Better trade AI. Allow GMs to deem players untouchable or explicitly available on the market. Rather than tinkering with trades, GMs make offers which are considered for a few days then accepted, re-negotiated, or rejected. If the player consistently lowballs a trade partner, the partner can simply refuse to trade with the player any longer.
- Assistant coaches should be eligible for head coaching jobs, and vice versa.
- Player morale should be more linked to team success, trade rumors, coaching upheavals, etc. They can ask for trades, increased PT, miss games for personal reasons.

Animations
I cannot say how many time I've dribbled to the top of the key extended to call a play only to have my player back up over the backcourt line just because of the stepback animation.
Bumping; nothing needs to be said here, I should be able to play like Reggie Miller or Rip Hamilton if I want, but not with the off-ball bumping and holding.
Shot Animations; Dirk's Fadeaway is unblockable, the skyhook is unblockable, no debating that, but when I go against Dirk and he does the fade animation my defender is nailed to the floor and can't get up in his face to contest the shot. Same with the Up and Under nonsense, just like the Spin Dunk in 2k11
Passing; I too would love to see a bounce pass/chest pass/over the head pass option. Too often I'll try to feed Bosh in the post but instead of doing a simple bounce pass Cole throws it right at the defender. I suggest replacing Fake Pass with Bounce Pass, nobody I know uses Fake Pass.
Defense
I was NOT a fan of the Lock On Defense from previous games but I do think some elements of that need to be incorporated like playing someone left or right. Playing someone high or low would be nice too, similar to how Rondo "guards" LeBron, get right up on a driver and always have a hand up on a shooter.
Please lower the blocking, layups are non existent, especially with D Wade or any smaller player. Last night I was the Twolves playing against the Bucks when Jennings swatted a dunk attempt from Beasley. Seriously.

Better Commentary; The whole WOOOOO HOO HOO HOO After every alley oop gets old. Quick.
Better Trade AI; LeBron for Javale McGee? No thanks.
Last and least to me anyway; better online play. The number one reason I do not play 2k online is the game speed, I can put up with X Mashers and Up and Under abusers but I simply cannot deal with the slow as Eddy Curry (lol) gameplay, I'll keep my 1-0 record and not play online again until there's more custom matches. Speed: These are all related to speed in some shape or form
<DIR><DIR>1. The CPU rapid catch up speed needs to be addressed. I see why 2K did what they did but there are instances where the CPU is just moving too fast we all know this whether it is fast break or catch up animations. 2K needs to let the ratings matter and figure out a way to balance out the speed differences. There are too many situations where the players are moving too fast just to get into position and are covering too much ground.
2. Make turbo matter and penalize users who abuse it. I feel like turbo should be used in spurts or it should deplete your stamina ratings more than what 2K did in 2K12. There is no sense of speed off the dribble with the turbo. I don’t feel the speed of a Derek Rose or Westbrook which in my opinion are two of the fastest with the ball in the NBA. Take out the little hesitation that happens when you hit the turbo especially on drives.
3. CPU reaction time. The CPU reacts too fast they toned it down some post patch but it needs to be addressed. Physic steals (head turned away then turn around and they tip the ball), blocks and too much sliding into position. Loose balls where only one person moves fast and knows where the ball is going.
4. Remove the rapid lead pass animation when the players move to fast or accelerate too fast. Remove the leak out animation and have the speed be limited to maximum speed of the player. Some players are just moving too fast on the leak out animation.
</DIR></DIR>Pick and roll:
<DIR><DIR>1. The CPU plays the pick and roll too perfectly and has the ability to slide through picks and be in perfect position a little too perfectly.
2. The CPU slides around contact too well on not set pick and rolls.
</DIR></DIR>Passing:
<DIR><DIR>1. Passing has to be improved. My opinion is I do not want another button assigned to do a special pass say bounce pass or lob pass, especially when I am already using icons anyway. They did try to improve it post latest patch but there are instances where we just make the wrong type of pass for the situation. I want the ratings to decide whether my man knows how to pass the ball correctly for the right situation. I do not want a Mortal Combat button combination requirement to trigger correct passes, bounce, lob etc.
2. There are times where the player is open and I pass the ball and then he goes to the spot where the defenders are and the ball gets stolen. If they could remove that occurrence I would be happy.
</DIR></DIR>Rebounding:
<DIR><DIR>1. I want to feel less scripting in rebounding. The players are going to where the ball is coming off the rim I want to see them not "guess" right as soon as the shot goes up. I realize some great rebounders are good at this but not this good.
2. Can we get tap outs this is very common in the NBA as in tapping the ball out because you may not be able to grab the rebound. This was in my wish list last year hopefully we get it next year. This would open up the predictability in rebounds.
3. The ball rim physics need to be adjusted to be a little more random. The rebounds come off at the same location too much. There needs to be more long rebounds.
4. Quick jumps, tips, there are not enough quick jumps when going for the offensive rebound. Sometimes you have to wait until the animation plays out which should not be happening. I want more "live" tips where the ball is up for grabs and you are able to keep tipping the ball.
</DIR></DIR>Situational animations:
<DIR><DIR>1. There are some situational animations that to me appear to be setup to cause contact or a canned animation that does not work in your favor on offense. Example you could be driving to the lane trying to do a layup but you get sucked into these contact shots. Another example there are instances where the shot selected is almost designed to issue a block. If you watch NBA or play basketball you know these as soon as you see it because you say why would he shoot the ball with that hand when he is open in this direction. This is really noticed against the CPU the most

<DIR><DIR>1. Overall I really like the playbook I just wish the plays would start faster some of them are just too slow and take too much time to initiate. There are a few that don’t play out completely
2. Custom playbooks would be nice there is probably a reason we don’t have it maybe coding but I would like to be able to have some custom playbooks that you could load offline or online.
</DIR></DIR>Defensive rotations/CPU controlled teammates AI:
<DIR><DIR>1. Your CPU controlled teammates do some strange rotations leaving people open in strange instances. I think 2k was trying to simulate how players rotate and someone is open but the CPU does some stupid unnecessary rotations. Sometimes they run away from a guy driving in the lane. I have never seen this before in any level of play. Backing away from rebounds, jogging back on fastbreaks when they could defend the play.
</DIR></DIR>Dribbling in the paint:
<DIR><DIR>1. The CPU has this habit of performing all of their isomotion moves in the paint and it doesn’t matter if you have 2 or three guys there. They will not lose the dribble this is mainly point guards doing this. Please eliminate the tendency of this to happen.
2. Up and under tendency by point guards in the paint needs to be removed or the success rate needs to be lowered a lot.

My suggestions for My Player mode:
-Please give us the ability to choose our jerseys before the game. We haven't been able to wear alternates or throwbacks since this mode's inception, and I feel like it's long overdue.
-Career split stats. You guys took a huge leap in the right direction by adding season split stats, and it would be really sweet to see how your player played against each team for his entire career. And please add in career playoff stats too.
-Have certain fans in the home crowd wear your player's jersey once the star power is high enough.
-Continue adding to the variety of questions for the press conferences. Maybe give us an option to briefly talk about one teammate who had an instrumental performance. Nothing too in depth, just something that expands on the "teammate" aspect of the game. Maybe a two-step button press where the first allows us to pick a player from the team's list, and the second lets us choose which aspect of the game they excelled in (shooting, defense, rebounding, post, hustle, etc)
-Allow us to see certain stats exactly even after milestones are completed. For example, once I get the milestone for 250 double-doubles in a career, I'll never know how many I have after that unless I keep count myself. Would be cool to see the exact number of triple-doubles or 30 and 10 games I had when it's all said and done.
-Maybe our players could join the ranks of coaching upon retirement?
-Currently the game doesn't really recognize the player much during in-game commentary. You could lead the league in a category and they will only mention the second place player. Make it so that the commentators speak more about your player and the halftime wrap up should mention your player by name (or at least position) when having a key performance.
-There should be a grade reward for forcing your matchup to commit a turnover (e.g. you closely guarding a player that steps out of bounds or loses his dribble)
-More animations and endorsements, but that goes without saying.
-This last one is a long shot I'm sure, but it would be the ultimate if we could somehow import our current players into next year's iteration picking up at the beginning of whatever year we left off.

Ability to indicate which side you want the pick to be: Too often in this game the pick would come on the side you don't want. This has been going on in 2k games for years. Let the guy with the ball have the ability to point to which side he wants. The picker sometimes wouldn't do it if he is already in an animation to the other side, or if that side is too crowded. We just need some way to control the pick side. Its basic basketball.Comment

oh, I just remembered another thing I wanted: IMPORT DRAFT CLASSES FOR MYPLAYER MODE. Steal animations need to be situational, if Dirk has the ball in the paint and picks up the dribble let there be a "pop the ball" animation to try and get it out of his hands instead of a swipe, Some swipes look inappropriate for some situations. Fatigue speed. If your fatigue bar is 100-95, you have top end speed, 94-85 your speed drops alil, 84-75 it drops more, 74-65 it drops more and so on and so on..Charges the big one..GET RID OF MARIO RUNNING.. I hate that its 2012 now, this is so 1986..Add MORE stumbles when someone runs into another player at full speed and they lose the dribble..Active hands on defense. Here is my updated and hopefully finally wishlist for 2k13.1. AI Association Logic- This needs a big overhaul, as there are three major things wrong with it.Even though I have a long wishlist, I applaud 2k for 2k12. It is a great basketball game.
1- Teams need much better trade logic. Cleveland would never offer a team Kyrie Irving. Miami would never offer a team Chris Bosh. I propose five different players/ Untouchables, Unlikely to get, might get, might not get and likely to get.
2. Auto generated draft classes- The potential for all players is way too high in this. Many players end up over 80 OVR.Plus, there are only traditional versions of positons (No shooting PF's,etc)
3. Auto generated rotations-Teams should not be giving 4 minutes per game to 40 ovr players. Many 6th men get over 20 minutes a game. Also, for the playoffs, starters minutes should be increased by 2-5 minutes
2. Accessory Editor- We should be able to assign any colors we want to accesories. Also, 2k should add new should add new shoe brands as already mentioned.
3. Call more fouls in the paint - I see players getting shoved but no fouls are called.
4. Change the speed rating- I also think big men should have a speed tendency that relates to the speed rating- For example, a big man like Amare gets out on the fast break better and more often than Dirk Nowitzki. Rajon Rondo should fly past Jermaine O'Neal on the fast break. Have Derrick Rose be able to destroy guys like Steve Nash and Jason Kidd with his quickness and speed.

4. the CPU ball handler is bad at recognizing open teammates...a lot of times I will control an offball defender and move him completely off his man, but the CPU doesn't even notice and never passes to the open teammate even though the guy is WIDE WIDE OPEN. this was not a problem in past 2k games...2k games have always had AI that instantly passed to an open teammate, but for some reason this year they behave like they are blind and dumb.Comment

ability to create a rip hamilton/reggie miller type player who comes off the screens and move well with out ball with good mid range j.
your either force to be a good slasher/3pt or good in low post to score mid range is non existent.Comment
