Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
More signature stuff for things like passing and rebounding.
Dwight Howard should not be able to pass as good as Steve Nash, just as Nash should never get as high as Dwight for a rebound.
Passing should have different packages such as-- Hall of Fame (Maravich, Nash, Kidd, Stockton) All-Star (Paul, Deron Williams, LeBron), Average (which would be most scorers who aren't known for passing so much, but occasionally have a flashy pass), and poor (most post players).
Rebounding could have athletic post player (Dwight, Deandre Jordan- who don't always box out but rely on their athleticism), fundamental post player (always box out, not the most athletic, for veterans like Duncan or Camby), athletic guard (who rarely box out and don't always go after the rebound but goes for putback dunks and some defensive rebounds), and fundamental guard (someone like Kidd who crashes in for defensive rebounds).Last edited by Jakeness23; 01-07-2012, 03:27 PM.NBA

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Would be nice to see the commentators sitting and talking during short breaks. 2K9 had what I thought was the beginning of a trend showing them, but 2K went back and took it out of the game.My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Bounce Passes!!!!
There are never any bounce passes. Because of this 3 out of 10 of my passes are intercepted because the offensive players just softy lob the ball around. We need bounce passes and overall passing needs to be refined. The passes need some zip on them.
Icon Lead Passing
Please 2k, make the icon lead passing the way it was in 2k11. It was a great way to work around the lack of movement by your computer teammates.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Only things I can really think of is more frequent roster updates (as in every few days), the ability to edit any player's headband color, and when I go to pass I would like it to NOT have the player on the receiving end back up 3-6 feet and have it become an easy steal for the opponent. It happens at times and it really gets on my nerves.
Those are the only three things that are bothering me at this point, otherwise it's a great, great game.Last edited by Freak123; 01-08-2012, 02:06 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
My Top 10 list for 2k13:
1. The Live ball physics does need to get removed. Passes, Blocks, Steals, and using Turbo its extremely frustrating how easy the ball gets knocked loose, bounces off people, ect.
2. Bring back the force field on the base line, there are too many players going out of bounds including the CPU.
3. Crew mode is a must.
4. Ability to play with the Legend Teams online with our friends is a must. They should be available to use in private team up matches.
5. Defense needs to be worked on & improved. On Ball Defense is a complete joke this year. I used to love playing defense in 2k11 now its like its not even possible to stay in front of your man and stop him.
6. Passing into the paint this year is frustrating compared with last years game. The CPU defender is constantly tipping passes even when a guy is wide open. There are also too many bobbled passes.
7. I actually miss being able to use "Y" to do quick step backs and small hops in the paint and the other many signature player moves that were possible in 2k11. I hate having to use the shot stick to go through an animation to perform these moves now. Holding down both LT+RT to post up worked just fine in 2k11.
8. Team-Up needs to be improved. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043113194
9. Online Association needs to be improved. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...a-anymore.html
10. Focus on improving the online and offline gameplay as the top priority for 2k13.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Yeah, I actually bought back 2k11 a couple of weeks ago and am having fun again playing online in crew, team-up and the way the gameplay works. Only thing I miss is having updated rosters. Its my hope that 2k13 is an improvement upon 2k11 and not 2k12 which was disappointing to me.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Gameplay:Same as 2k11,Slashing and layup animations.Good On ball defense like 2k11.Better contact dunks and more in depth player tendencies so you can make a pass first PG that gets 12 assists in simulation stats.Better playcall system where the offense does what its supposed to and should mix with the flow of the defense.Technical fouls would be nice too add realism but I doubt it cuz its a negative aspect of the game.
Presentation:A halftime report highlighting three key plays and the analyzing them like they do in real life.More realistic crowd when a clutch shot such as loud boos if the opposing team makes a last second shot or cheering if its the home team and also more Team/player excitement. If a good player left a team
through FA they should boo when he gets the ball/subbed in etc.
My Player:Better player customization such as hairstyles to make him less like a generic rookie. White people don't look messed up.More signature styles like passing, defensive stance, more options/packages.Ability to sign endorsements with Nike,Adidas etc.,you can design your shoe with their logo based on who you sign with like lace style, shape, color scheme, etc.,they can offer you contracts, this should also be done with magazines and other companies
(Gatorade,McDonald's,T-Mobile).Team practices and wearing practice attire ( like you do in practice mode),make practice optional so if you choose not to attend it'll affect your teammate chemistry.Pre game warmups. In the Pre draft period you should have minigames where they test your speed, vertical, strength so their is more impact on where you will be taken in the draft.More stuff do with money like the option to provide summer camps in the offseason,go on worldwide basketball tours etc.Ability to add draft classes instead of those horrible generic rookies.All-Star Weekend Skills challege,3pt shootout and dunk contest.
Association: Option to sign players without dumb salary cap violations if you dont have $1 million.Ability to give money and swap draft picks and do sign and trade deals.More realistic Simulated stats.More complex player decline / increase (like Madden 12 association).All-Star Weekend with Skills Challenge,3PT Shootout and Dunk Contest.Changing plays and player roles (Team Tendencies) affect play in ways like having a one star player scorer or a team that shares the ball and well rounded at each position because I can't get my team to play the way i want them toin terms of scoring and in game features have little effect in simulation.
Greatest Mode: Make more challenges for each player and go back to having to score a certaimg amount in a stat line like 20 assists.Unlock many more teams when you complete one of the 5 challenges of a player (depends on the player). If you complete all the player challenges you get to use him in create a legend.
Crew with better online servers and more team options like logo creator (paint tool) and ability to create a league with different crews almost like online association but with crew.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
overall dribbling locomotion feels sluggish and not as good as 2k11...not just the "turbo dribbling" but also the regular dribbling locomotion using only the left stick...it has to do with how players change direction with the ball and how they switch the ball to different hands when changing direction...in 2k11 these movements felt more responsive and more "snappy"...directional changes with the ball just felt quicker and tighter in 2k11...but in 2k12, when moving the ball handler around, he just moves sluggishly and changes direction awkwardly...also moving left or right out of a stand-still is awkward - let's say you are standing and dribbling the ball and you want to move to the left or right, when you move the left stick to the side the player often does this annoying hesitation move before he begins dribbling...this makes the responsiveness feels sluggish..this hesitation was not in 2k11.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-11-2012, 11:34 AM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
bring back the hopstep button...get rid of the fake pass button and make that the hoptstetp button. the fake pass just isn't a crucial move in basketball..it doesn't deserve to have its own button over the hopstep - the hopstep is a much more important move in the sport. doing hopsteps with the right stick just isn't a good control scheme...it limits when you can do hopsteps because you have to be moving directly at the hoop to do a hopstep...but in real life you can do a hopstep in any direction (diagonal to the hoop, etc.)...another bad thing about right stick hopsteps is that if you're just slightly off with the direction you move the right stick, you will often do a floater when you intended to do a hopstep...bringing back the hopstep button would fix all of this. i have never used the fake pass button and never will. wasting controller real estate on such a trivial move just doesn't make sense.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-10-2012, 06:38 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
lead passing is pretty bad in 2k12...the problem is that when you try to lead pass to a reciever, he often stops long before he recieves the ball...in 2k11 you could lead to a reciever and he would continue moving in that direction right until he caught ball...you could lead him much further...in 2k11 this was much better for creating better passing angles to keep the pass out of the path of the reciever's defender.
these "stopping" catch animations in 2k12 are especially noticeable when leading a guy away from the hoop...it's so annoying when i use lead pass because i want to keep him away from his defender, but he stops prematurely and his defender runs up and swats the pass away because he stopped and allowed the reciever to catch up to him...i don't know if this crap was done to limit lead passing, but it's B.S. because it doesn't make sense...the point of the lead pass is to lead a player in a direction and keep him moving as far as possible as he catches the ball...having him stop way before the ball gets to him completely defeats the purpose of the lead pass...Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
1. NO generics please. tone down up and under.
2. Add alternate jerseys to myplayer mode.
3. Make it so i do not have to make my team mates cut.
4. Add some more alley oop variations ( off the bounce), but off course
make it contexual i.e. only ball handler and trailing team mate on wide open fast break.
5. Fine tune recovery speed on offense and defense.
6. Fine tune player movement and collision detection.
7. Eliminate players being able to deflect an alley oop pass when moving backwards. This is physically impossible to do. It is only possible moving torwards the pass or from a stand still position in which the person has to really test their vertical.
8. Make the ball really live. Don't know what happened after the first patch, but I felt like the game played nice out the box. IMO
9. I know you guys are gonna improve the graphics and presentation.
10. Is it too hard to give players their correct shoes when building the model?
11. Enhance playoff atmosphere! Add some confetti to championship celebrations. Also why no parade cut scene?Comment
