Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
What I want is simple.
A game that is worth the $65 I pay for it.
A game that plays good out of the box and plays well EVERY GAME, not just every so often.
A roster that matches Ronyell and his teams' roster (looks like they pay more attention to the NBA than the 2K team). GT: Bornstar Yellz if you haven't checked out this roster, go download it, it's awesome.
A CPU that's not psychic.
Controls that are responsive.
NO CANNED ANIMATIONS.
Smart AI teammates.
Developers that test the game before they finalize and claim that it's the greatest game ever, when that is FAR from the truth.
I mean really, am I the only one that thinks the demo played smoother than the final product?
And this probably isn't the place, but for the love of God... give us a COLLEGE basketball game again.NBA
Charlotte HORNETS
NFL
Carolina Panthers
College
Carolina Tar Heels
Won't change until:
1) Hornets win a playoff game
2) Panthers win a Super Bowl
3) Tar Heels win another championship (Completed: 4/3/2017)

how about add tuner/slider updates so when there are minor gameplay problems we dont have to wait on a patch like on nba 2k12 with the lack of contact on drives, layups and so on.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Hey 2k franchise this is what I would like to see:
Create a Team:
1)Uniforms
A. Jerseys
- users can write the name of the team on the jersey rather than just having to put a symbol on it
a) as a side note make it like word art where you can have a variety of word designs on the jersey
- users can also customize the jersey design instead of always having to pick the same 12 different designs or you could add more designs
- users can choose what type of material their jerseys are made of too e.g. ( 09-10 Denver Nuggets Jerseys compared to the 09-10 Boston Celtics Jerseys, or the choice of the new jerseys the teams are wearing now )
- another thing would be to allow the number correspond with the type of word design use, and allow it so that the number color will affect the front of the jersey as well as the back, i was a little upset that that happened in 2k11
B. Warm-ups
- along with the jersey design, users should also be able to design the teams own warm-up attire (they dont have to look the same as the rest of the league)
a) words can be on the warm-up jersey as well and the word art feature can still apply ( There can be different designs for the front and back of the warm-up jersey )
- users can also choose between having their shooting shirts be either Jackets, long-sleeve or short sleeve or all three
- all this stuff should also apply to the warm-up pants as well
C. Practice Jerseys
- I think that it would also be cool if that created team would also have practice jerseys
- Most of the stuff that applies to the regular jerseys can apply to the practice ones
2)Team Courts
A. Flooring
- users can choose the type of flooring for their team ( Magic court design compared to Cavs court design)
- also the ability to choose the tint of that courts' design ( the wizards court is a different tint than the lakers court )
B. Design
- users have the ability to change a courts design so that not all courts look the same
* just as another side note allow it so that you can also name the court
3)Practice gyms
A. This feature can really apply to not just created teams but teams currently in the NBA
B. This feature should also be as creative when it comes to designing it as it was with the actual game courts
C. Oh, and dont stop there, take us even further and have us build weight rooms and locker rooms and give the players actual emotions as if we really were in a NBA practice gym
D. Also you can do some practice drills but not just by yourself, you can participate with the rest of the team as an option so it feels more real and skip the rest of the team until its ur turn if you want
*One more thing before i stop talking about this, allow it so that there isnt a limit on how many teams you can create please
Here are some ideas for Create a player:
1) Names:
- I know that its probably a real frustrating thing to look up all those thousands of names so im not going to get on your case about it, but it could be expanded a little more
2) The Randomize face option:
- If POSSIBLE, please please please have the computer randomize the face so that the created player actually looks human instead of some non human looking person
- and if you can do this allow it so that the face corresponds with the persons ethnicity, i once randomized a black guys face and he turned out looking asian, please fix it
3) New feature: Jumpshot creator
- not everyone shoots like kobe or lebron or J.J. Redick so this feature would be really tight
- with this feature, users would be able to
* determine how high they want their player to throw the ball when shooting
* how high their player will jump
* they can create their very own Shooting form that is detailed down to how they want their player to look when its getting ready to shoot
- the same should hold for Free throws as well
Pre-game gameplay:
1) Warm-Up shots before a game
- before any game being played, whether its quick game, association, my player etc. While the game is loading you can have your players from both teams take warm-up shots and then when the game is ready, you can choose when you want to play by hitting a specific button
- and during this you can also see the crowd coming in and trying to find a seat to get ready to watch the game
2) Starting line-up announcements
- in the settings option, users can be allowed to choose between having a regular starting lineup introduction like this game has done recently, or they can have the starters have the introduction show that they normally have to make it feel more real
Timeout gameplay:
1) during timeouts when the user is not playing maybe you can add in some minigames, like have some random person shoot half-court shots or something
The little things:
1) allow more than 12 people to play:
- this may seem weird but its better than looking at the bench and seeing that there are 3 empty seats just sitting there
- maybe in the settings you can choose to have as many number of players play on a team from 12-15 players
2) shoes:
- bring back all shoes from previous 3 years
- i like the 09-10 hyperizes and i was sad they werent here in 2k11
3) Blacktop:
- all that i want to talk about here is just have created teams play in the black top games
4) D-Leauge:
- allow the user to have the option to play d-leauge games as well as create d-leauge teams
- those guys are players of the game too and i think it would be nice to add them as an addition to this unique franchise
5) Higlight reels:
- During the association mode it would be phenomenal if you were able to get all the games of the week and place it in a highlight reel like sports center or NBA gametime
- not only for association mode but allow it for any mode and upload and save player highlight reels and share (again this would be insane)
6) Playoff situations:
- Just allow it so that the crowd can wear team colors and this can be changed in the create a team option ( What i mean is if a teams colors are blue, red, white users can choose to have the playoff shirts be either blue, red or white )
I already wished for this last year and not all of it was placed into the game so im just gonna ask for it againComment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
for the love of God, 2k - let me do a dunk when i want to. even when i'm holding the turbo trigger to attempt a dunk, half the time the game just forces me into a weak layup animation, which my player usually misses or it gets blocked...if my player had attempted a dunk like i wanted him to, it would've been an easy score...
even if i have an open lane to the hoop the game forces me into weak layups when i'm clearly holding turbo and should be getting a dunk animation. the game claims that you can control when you attempt dunks, but that is a lie - the inconsistent animations in this game are really getting annoying. sometimes you get the animation you intended, sometimes you don't...too often the game chooses animations for me that aren't consistent with my controller input...that is the opposite of control. controlling this game is a roll of the dice - you never know what your player is going to do as a result of your controller input. why include controls at all if my player isn't going do what i tell him to? some of the stupid animations this game forces upon me are just plain baffling.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-16-2012, 12:27 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
please fix the defensive settings so they actually work.
If i have a guy set to "deny ball" on a certain player, he should NEVER leave that player to help on defense. this worked fine in 2k11, but for some reason in 2k12 it doesn't work. I can set all of my teammates to "deny ball" on every player of the opposite team, yet my players will still sag off and leave their man open in order to chase after the ball handler. why do you include the ability to change these defensive settings if the game is just going to ignore my commands? I believe the problem is partially related to the defensive settings conflicting with the coach's help defense slider.the defensive settings should always override the help defense slider in the coach profiles. ...if i set a player to "deny ball" he should stick to that man at all times even if the coach's help defense is set to 100.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-16-2012, 04:42 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
i've been asking for this for a while, and i'm going to ask again. you should be able to draw a charge without holding the "draw charge" button...charges should be completely based on player momentum and physics - meaning, if i neutralize the left stick and the ball handler runs into me - that is a charge...even if i wasn't holding the draw charge button, the ball handler should plow over me since my player had zero directional movement and he was moving directly into me. now if i'm moving the left stick, then i can initiate minor bumps or contested layups, but if i'm standing completely still and he just plows into me, the charge animation should play out automatically even without the use of the draw charge button.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-16-2012, 12:26 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Jakeness, they're ALL canned animations. When you push the shoot button, and the little guy on the screen picks the ball up and shoots, following through with his hand, it's a canned animation.
Actually, ANIMATIONS are all "canned". That's what animations are.
* In Call of Duty, when your guy gets shot and slumps to the ground, THAT'S a canned animation.
* In Madden, the receiver lifts his hands to catch it, THAT'S a canned animation.
* In Skyrim, when the dragon blows fire, THAT'S a canned animation.
* In Tiger Woods golf, when the guy swings, THAT'S a canned animation.
* In EVERY basketball game on every console that's ever been made, when a guy dunks, THAT'S a canned animation.
Do you kinda see where I'm going with this?
(maybe you just meant "no LONG canned animations")

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
1. Bumping- for #1 get rid of the bumping, or at least it should not be like how it is, the defender post to cut the defender off instead of block him from not going anyway.
2. Plays- The plays is one reason the cpu milks the shot clock then end up shooting the ball where ever they at. The plays should not take that long at all, the cpu also even make it slow because they will slowly wait for 2-5 seconds to pass to the other person for the play to continue. The plays are all ways broken by the dumb cpu and they all ways run the same plays over and over, and It be the worst plays too. Really they need to just use the simple plays they used in the league.
3. Players Stats and Sim- The stats are so awful and so inaccurate THE SIM is all ways bad, they don't go by the stats a player put ups a year. Kobe for example for his medium, he has a 70 something and he shot 34 percent from the line in 2011-12. They need a stat alcoholic doing the players stats instead of giving players bonus points cause people complain about it. It don't matter what the player overall as long as they play and do the things they do in real life, because that's the point of NBA game.
4. Game play- The game play in 2k11 was a lot better in a lot of ways, speed don't make a difference what so ever. Pick N Roll is not effective at all, I watch a gameplay CPU vs CPU and derrick rose could not score off the pick which led him to shot a very low percentage. Computer stay milking the shot clock which leads to a lot of bad plays.
5. Player Roles- That needs to be improve because, the Dallas mavs have a very good bench so a lot of players seem to want to request a trade cause they are not starting and messes up the team chemistry. They choose bad lineups, they make good points guards off the bench starters at sg, same with pf's starting at center. If a players plays 2 positions like Iggy, if he is a sg/sf they will never put him at the 3 because they go by the best player at the position. bench warmers get to much time, roles players not enough, you should have more then 1 sixth man as well
6. Fouls- I don't even need to explain that, that needed to be fix for quite a while, thats why key players don't go to the free throw line a lot or sometimes none
There a lot of things I can say they need to fix and complain about, like the game sliders for my player and online association, coach profiles, but I just want the game play to have some of these issues fix and for them to stop taking the good things they have every year away and add something that creates another problem. if EA comes with something good which I know they are, Imma starting playing that instead since 2k can't get simply things done.Last edited by socharliemac; 01-16-2012, 06:40 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
-Presentation options: The option to turn off some game presentation aspects would be great. I want the ability to turn off those stats that come up during games that sometimes take forever to end. I sometimes don't want to wait even a few seconds to button through those 'other games on the schedule' updates between quarters and halftime and would like turn them off or button through them instantly(like the second they come on). Also, if the ref has the ball, one button press should result in an instant pass to the inbounder/free thrower.
For people that play the game a lot, waiting through stuff like that can get a bit old, so making them optional and/or faster to button through would be very appreciated.
-Passing controls: There was so much attention put into individual iso offense controls, and I would like to see the same attention and control put into passing and ball movement. It was significantly improved post-patch, but some aspects of it could be further polished. I'm thinking its probably impossible for the computer to pick the exact pass animation you want for every situation. Its time to implement some way to control a lob or bounce pass. It wouldn't be too complex; icon passing already takes a lot of button input and we have to use it a lot because the passing button isn't consistent.
Some way to specifically pick a wraparound pass would be great, too. There has been a lot of passing off defender's chests this year. Maybe holding down the pass button while in traffic would initialize it. Also, the side the passer is facing should determine the side of the wraparound pass. Sometimes the cpu chooses the more crowded side and the ball is stolen.
It would be awesome if holding down turbo would add more pop on the ball out of your hands and give it more speed in the air. Maybe it could have a higher probability to be bobbled if the passer has a low pass rating or the catcher has a low hands rating. Control over the speed on the pass would be really good for this game.
Simple handoffs are bobbled too easily. I know sometimes handoffs are bobbled in real life, but its a bit too frequent in the game. Maybe if the pass button is held longer, the handoff could be slower and more solid. This would mean quick handoffs in the paint could be bobbled easier, but a slow handoff would get to the guy, but the D could close in. It would add a layer of strategy to handoffs.
Sometimes the pass receiver who is standing still would move out of his original position to receive the pass, resulting in steals. This movement has to be more much more subtle, and in most cases he shouldn't move at all.
In conclusion, individual offense is given so much control, from isomotion to picking the type of layup we want. I would like the same level of control for passing. Its always been up to the cpu to pick which pass we do, and giving the user that control would be a big step up. The pass button could still have the cpu pick your pass, but more advanced users would use the extra pass options to specify the pass they want.Last edited by Slava Medvadenko; 01-21-2012, 04:38 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Either make the player tendencies work correctly or remove them all together, 2k comes up with these tendencies in an effort to make the player play like his real life counterpart and enhance game play when in reality the tendencies have to opposite effect. The same thing for the live ball physics make them work get rid of them.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment
