Well in a perfect world there wouldn't have been a lockout and 2k could have had everything ready to roll from day 1. Thing is if they come out with one update, people will complain a deal made the night before isn't there, or complain a gameplay patch wasn't released and so on, never seen a game release where there weren't perfectionist complaining.
I pretty much play the association 99.999% of the time in all past version of NBA 2k, I decided to try my player for basically the first time and am wondering why I never did this before! Plenty of modes to keep me busy until the grizzlies roster is updated and I can start my association.Comment

I see nothing that says that on the box. The updated rosters are a service they provide to keep the game fresh. But they do not have to provide rosters up to date if they do not care to. They released the game as is and tell you that there will be roster updates which they have done plenty of time
To come here and say tomorrow you are trading the game in if no update is childish. Get a grip, they will release it when they do and if you will die by waiting a few days then you should really not even bother buying the game.Comment

The thing is, we're not ENTITLED to updated rosters. All our money gets us is a video game with all 30 NBA teams & logos, and the names & likenesses of the people in the NBAPA and the NBA coaches association.
Any updates to add missing people, move folks around, or re-rate people, is icing on the cake. You didn't pay for that, you paid for whatever is on the disc.
Stop substituting entitlement for disappointment.Comment

With that said though roster updates are kinda the standard for sports games now they are actually a huge feature at this point so I consider that part of our 60 bucks.Comment
