I have a question. I have been playing 2k since 11, so for like 2 years pretty religously and love it. I have only tried one team at a time. I am very interested in 30 team association but it sounds soo complicated and time consuming. Excluding offseason things, how much more effort does 30 team take. I will only play games from 1 team and do the rest beds way. How much time during the season does it take. Although it is less realistic, i do 58 game seasons cause i play alot of games.

Also, how from chise menu in Ps3 do i change the team i am controling. Ie if i want to change a different teams roster around, or set minutes, or anything like that. Could i a ps3 user who wouldnt mind give some basic 30 team button controls please?

Finally, i am very caught up on nba and follow it religously, i do post all my trades on rate my trade, but sometimes people dont answer. With that being said how do you experts here determine if trade is really fair? I know espn.com has a trade app.

Thank you again for everyones help, i am very intersted in doing this, but i am a graduate student so i dont have alot of time. So i want to know what i am getting into.

58 game season is totally fine, and actually, 30-Team control association does not take all that much longer. In my opinion its worth it.

Go to Calender, then press R2/L2 until you get to the team you desire

For those that do the 30 team chise how do u determine who gets what free agent? As the years go on it becomes less realistic, but to keep it fair how do u settle it? That is my final question. Thank u for answering it.

I know this isn't the best place, but the search function doesn't seem to be working on the forum and I figure I can get an answer here without starting a brand new topic.

How do you send someone down to D-League in Association mode? I've tried on the through the GM tab and the Roster screen, finances, player contracts, etc. and the option doesn't come up like last year.

When you select a player in the roster screen it should be the last option, however I think you can only send certain players, it will be greyed out if you can't send them down.

In my association the Magic are in 2nd place behind the Heat closing in on the trade deadline and looking like serious title contenders, I'm leaning toward keeping Dwight in Orlando long term but i want to pair him with D Williams. Looking for help to get D Will to Orlando and sign both to the max contracts they are wanting, any suggestions? Is it financially possible?

Nope. Doesn't come up for anybody. i checked multiple teams and multiple young players ranging from 50 overall to top picks. I wonder if it has to do with the choices I made for my association. I have player roles off because I find it ridiculous to have to deal with scrubs who in real life know they are scrubs, yet are complaining about minutes.

And now to mix things up and add to this great thread here are my 30 team chise fun headlines. This is seperate than chise stories. As this is also making sure we in right direction.


Cousins hsd enough in sac and wants out. Team ownerships agrees and shopping for some talent who wants to be here. Several team with offers on table. Team wants deal before deadline. Who should get him?

Finally, the biggest news of the day, josh smith wants his own team. Says e is tired being in horfords and johnsons shadow. Deron williams asks team owners to get smith, and told owners if josh comes over he will sign extension.
Only issue is is several other teams willing to throw better offers.

Finally, Howard wants to be dealt before deadline because of magics losing record.

Where should i trade him? La?


So far i am loving this 30 team mode!! Any other people have headlines?

After year one nope, no plan. You have to go by feel but I wouldn't recommend giving anyone more than 41 minutes, thats kind of the cap imo.

No equation, just similar to what the players play in real life this year and optimizes the players sim stats with my roster at least (Still great sim stats on default though with my update)

What do you guys think about Kaman to Indiana for amundson and a 2nd rounder(or two 2nd round picks)? hornets just want to dump his salary and value picks, im not sure tho if a backup half season rental is worth a 1st tho.

I like ur idea but i think no can get more out of kama . Cs are in demand and kaman when he gets min and stays healthy to me is an easy top 5 nba true center.

figured it out. I was being stupid and not switching the calendar to the team I wanted to use to send someone down to D-League.
