Would it be an unrealistic move on my part to do a sign and trade with Eric Gordon mid-season?

I'm trying to move him to Indiana(if you saw my trades yesterday the Rockets deal involving Martin is off the table as he is hurt so I can't trade him). It would be much easier to make realistic deal if his salary was higher. As it stands now to make the trade work the Hornets have to give up 2-3 other players, like Landry. Kaman is hurt so he can't be involved, but's day to day so if he gets well before the deadline I may be able to work out a deal with Gordon's current contract.

Pacers get:
Gordon
Landry

Hornets get:
Granger
G. Hill
2012 unprotected 1st round pick

I'd used random.org to generate a random number between 1-100 and give each scenario a certain range. For example lets say(just an example) that he has 50% of not being traded(so a 50% chance he does) and he as a 25% chance of being traded to New Jersey and a 25% chance of being traded to the Bulls(Lakers aren't a possibility since Bynum is out for the season).

So it would be something like this:
1-50 no trade
51-75 traded to NJ
76-100 traded to Chicago

While you don't really see something like this happen a lot, I don't think it's absolutely outside the realm of possibility. Even though he will be a RFA next year and they will control his destiny, so to speak, do they really want to pay him a whole lot of money on a long contract if he'll be unhappy and won't want to be there? I can see this type of thing happening in the future if the current trend of players trying to force their way off small market teams continue.

In that trade you posted involving Hill, I feel the Pacers are giving up a little too much. Maybe just Gordon with a new deal for Granger and an unprotected pick?

#1 I guess I have issues with Bynum because his of injury history, he gets hurt ATL traded Smith and ZaZa for nothing

#2 It only has 1 st rounder going to the Kings, 2 two may balance it out, but it just strikes me taking away the Kings only low post threat and giving more of what they already have

#3 If Boston struggles I have no issue with this one, I have read a few places that Ainge does not want to rebuild around only Rondo.

#4 If you did this I would look to move Felton in a separate deal, I don't think he'd react to well to being benched as Nash would get most of the minutes, it also leaves Portland thin at SF since Luke Babbitt is pretty worthless IMO

#5 If it's an in-season move there aren't really any FA bigs I'd be comfortable with if Bynum got hurt, if Gasol doesn't move to Center for Phoenix it also creates a log jam at PF with him, Morris, and Warrick plus Lopez and Gortat at center, maybe send Lopez if the $ will work out.

Yes, since you can't sign and trade RFA during the season. Can only doing it during offseason

Wow, good finals. In my 1st year, I played some, simmed some in the playoffs. Pacers came in as the 8th seed, but made it all the way to the finals before getting swept by OKC.

Can't you do extend-and-trade, BTW I let Gordon stay with the Hornets for a $61.55 mil deal.
