Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills -- Confirmed Additions vs Speculated Additions

I can't wait to see the new cheese created from new skills that will be unstoppable. There will be like 5 cheeses we .... I meant 5 skills that nobody will ever use because they will have no GREAT effect on the game. This is gonna be bad. What if I make a 5'5 Pg and make him set crushing picks on Lebron or chase down Dwight and block his shot? If it was for just defense it would've been cool for me but this is not for the hardcore. This is for gimmicky players. It's actually I don't think I should need a special skill icon to tell me to take that shot blocker and block the ball from behind. If i get to the spot and the attributes work out right then bam. A crushing pick should already be happening if smaller perimeter defender doesn't see a 7'0 280 big setting it and runs onto it.
Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.

At cheese, I'm trash. At basketball, I'm great!

Winners: increase the player's stats in close games
Regular season player: decrease of stats in playoffs
Playoffs player: increase of stats during playoffs

      Sry for the multiple posts

Yeah that is true about the abilities with the post fadeaway it was too successful for too many people and you couldn't impact the shot if you brought a double team. Basically the abilities were too high for some people and you couldn't impact the shot as much. What they are doing here will be a little bit different. I just hope these abilities make players go to the right spot basically no bigs going to the 3pt line

Hot Zones already give him a boost in Left/Right 3PT Corner. Hot Spots will make it so Bowen takes most of his shots from Left/Right 3PT Corner. 3PT Rating sets his baseline 3PT%.

This "skill" adds nothing that can't be duplicated in 2K12.

Come on, you don't even know how these skills are going to work in 2k13, so stop making assumptions

How about a "Hothead" designaton for players most likely to be assesed technicals?

Yeah I wonder is it user controlled if the player is on your team though if you wanted to. I see no way they only put tech's in for just Kinect users that doesn't make sense.

I think ones for pick and roll ball handler, pick and roll screener, and pick and pop are must haves to seperate ordinary big men vs big men who run pick and rolls well (dh12 and Amare) and pick and pop (KG)

Come on. Do you really think you are the first person to think about that? In 2k12 my player 2k put cap on skills that weren't normal for a certain position. I'm sure that all 28 skills won't be available for all 5 positions.

True enough. But I was just speaking under the assumption of what that particular skill should do if it ever existed.

I'm pretty sure 2K didn't have this in mind when they created crew/My Player. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb4XV...eature=related

I guess they added it because they felt it was good for the game, perhaps to better differentiate superstars from good players, but it is true that this can be a new cheese way for those who doesnt care about playing sim...

This game needs a Crying Baby signature skill, since half of the league got this "skill".
                              My Specs:

                              ZX Spectrum
                              CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz

                              OS: Sinclair BASIC

I cant wait to see all the skills officially announced. I dont expect it be that far apart.

Like someone else said, I hope some skills are locked to certain positions. I am not concerned with current players. But, I dont want to see generated players have crazy traits for their position. I dont want to see a PG with Chase Down Block or Brick Wall.
