'01 A.I. with his 2010 face, a headband which he wasn't wearing at the time, and his rookie shoes from '96.

Gamebreaker? No. Frustrating and annoying? Yea.

I thought I read somewhere 2K has a shoe creator in the game in 2k13?

I'm off to go look for that thread.

      Edit: http://exophase.com/game/nba-2k13-xb.../achievements/

      Boom.
This can be very good or very bad, and I'm honestly leaning toward it being bad.

Why? Licensing. If 2K doesn't have the license on certain shoes, I don't see how they can give you a tool to create said shoe. For example, if they don't have the license for the Air More Uptempo, how can they give you the ability to make it without getting in (legal) trouble with Nike?

I will, of course, reserve final judgement until I actually see it, but I have a feeling it will be quite limited.

I don't have high expectations either but let's see what happens...

As long as we can add the different brand logos (swoosh,3 stripes...) in different positions, and some different options for the rest of the shoe it could be enough. Nevertheless I'm sure that we won't be able to recreate a shoe exactly as it is.

It would be great if we were allowed to import textures or something like that, but I'm quite sure it won't happen.

Unless they've expressly said adding things to shoes in the customization process, such as the swoosh etc, I wouldn't count on that. I can't see how that could be an option without some sort of huge licensing fee. I mean huge.

This. I really hope this shoe creator is robust and not like that one that used to be in the game that would make shoes that look nothing like reality. I hated that thing.
Mostly for me is I WANT them to get the colorways right, or at least attatch the correct areas of the shoes to color 1/2, and possibly a 3rd, which is a stretch.
            HELLO BROOKYLN.
