Amen Brother. I'm from that same imagination generation LOL. That said they should at least get the shoes they have license for correct. There is no excuse for that.

That's exactly the point. Since they decide to spend money to put some "official" kicks into the game, I don't know why they do such a crappy representation that you can't recognize them at all (specially classic Js).

Even generics look better than most of the retro Jordans.

You have to remember that there are licensing issues in play. It is entirely possible they arent able to secure the property rights to some of these shoes/brands, thus we have generic shoes. Its not like 2k is blatantly doing this to piss us off...legally they cant do it if they dont have the proper licensing.

it isnt that, they always get the main shoes licensed, but can never be bothered to put them on the right players, or get the colours right

I can feel and express that it is female stuff. Nobody accused you of not buying the game because of it but it is still female stuff. Cosmetics. I thought we were ball players over here. Not auditioning for Project Runway.

^^^ I look at it differently.

90% of the players in the league are not on shoe deals, they can wear addidas one game and nike the next. For 2K to go through all these players and assign the shoes they were its pointless. I agree that the MAIN guys who have shoe deals should have appropriate shoes but everyone else ? who cares ?

you can still go in and edit their shoes to real ones.

ALSO you are making a point about accurate shoes = realism, but there are people in this thread and forum who are not even asking for accurate shoes ... they just want more shoes ! which has nothing to do with accurate presentation, that's just dress up.

It's just shoes? If you don't like them change them? I don't know how 2k is "lazy" or doing a bad job, I've never played any sports video game that offered more shoes than 2k? They have retros, they add the new releases through the season, and all brands, the ability to customize them any way you want especially with the nikeID... I mean that's 100s of possibilities with shoes.. And you're still going to complain..??? Some of you people are worse then a girlfriend on her period..

I hope the people threatening and harassing 2K's twitter over shoes get bugged copies of the game.

This is what happens when people get spoiled for too long, they start complaining about minuscule things. People are actually mad over shoe color segways smh ... its the equivalent to a little girl being mad that her Barbie's dress is the wrong color.

This is what I don't understand. Why are people that don't even care about this topic posting in it? Just because it's a public forum doesn't mean your opinion needs to be injected into a topic you don't care about. If I see a topic I don't care about, I don't post in it. No need to poke my head in and say "I don't care about (insert subject)." Your non-response to the topic is just as effective, and frankly preferred, in conveying the message you do not care about the topic.

Now that I got that rant out of my system, I sympathize with the OP. I mean, the shoes ARE IN THE GAME. Jordan's piss me off the most I think. Every time they show MJ in some FAKE looking colorway it makes my blood boil, especially with the black/red XI.

While I would love for them to go all out and get the correct shoes for everyone (Olympic Air Force 180's for Barkley, for example), I can accept having fewer shoes as long as they give the players that wear whatever shoes are in the game the correct colors. Those Oly VII's MJ is wearing in that photo are so far off, they should have just made them all white.

I don't have any problem playing on the PC, where the modders are able to put shoes fans want in the game, but 2K has to step it up in this department. I GREATLY appreciate the work by the PC community, but they should not have to do the job 2K should be doing. I mean come on, I have to download a Jordan XI shoe pack just so I can have the correct colorways for a shoe that's already in the game. That is beyond infuriating.

If the mod community has to put Foams in the game because 2K can't work out a licensing deal on them, fine. To me, that's what the mod community is for, to ADD something to a game that fans want, but the developer is unable or unwilling to provide. However, it is NOT the role of the mod community to fix mistakes/inaccuracies that the developer should be taking care of.

the small things do matter but I don't think 2k can please everybody then people will say oh AI wore these in 2001 or those aren't MJ rookie shoes so I think they will get it right hopefully but for now nothing we can do=(

They added a ton of Nikes that no NBA player has worn since 2006 (Huarache 2K5, all old LeBrons, Kobes, etc.) but refuse to fix the ones that are relevant. Besides, fixing the AJ XI for example would take 20 minutes maximum. No excuse.

So based on your time frame I must assume you work in the gaming art industry, and know first hand how long the process takes, also based on your logic fixing 1 shoes take 20 minutes x how many shoes that need to be fixed x how many accessories that need to be fixed x how many hair styles need to be fix x how many faces and bodies need to be fixed x how many people in the crowd need to be fixed see how it all adds up.

sneaker heads are truly annoyed by this! I wonder if they will ever get this right. Honestly I do this for 2K if they paid me minimum wage!
