I'm not sure what you're saying, but does "clutch" have that big an impact on a player's superstar status that they shouldn't be a 99 based on one playoff series?

Lebron is pretty clutch now and has had his clutch moments throughout his career. He will never come close to Jordan's clutch level but no one will IMO. Lebron's only negative to me was how he appeared to 'quit' in some final games of series like Kobe has done in the past as well. It happens to most players though so it is what it is.

First off bro, i am glad you are so hypeed about this NEW NBA, and that you are so excited about the new game, BUT no way Lebron James should be rated 99 or any player in this new NBA. I have seriously played and watch Basketball for nearly 30 years and i am here to tell you after seeing what i saw from MJ in the 80s 90s he is the best there ever was the best there will ever be. And also I think Scottie Pippen gets such a raw deal thers days due to the fact many NEVER really seen him play or others of his era to REALLY see when basketball was at its BEST. Lebron James gets deemed the best doing things Pippen did night in night out ..what can lebron do that PIppen could not Pippen was the BEST on defense, stld leader could score slash to hope reb and was SUPER athletic, he was deemed the best along Hakeem and Robinson ect when Mike was gone, his career stats are misleading due to the fact that he not only played with MJ but he played on DEEP Portland team, during his Bulls days you could pencil him in for 22 7, 7, 1 3stls thats with MJ getting his 32-35 a night. Lebron is playing in a league were players DO NOT PLAY DEFENSE, THERE ARE NO BIG MEN TO DEFEND BASKET, and although these players of today can run and jump they truly do not know how to play game.(for example look at last years NBA Finals the Thunder made no real adjustments or played with any toughness) No player in todays "I wil let you score so you can post it on twitter" NBA should be rated 99. Lebron to me along with Kobe and others is the NBA best BUT I thing LB should be a rated a strong 88-90. What LBJ is being herald for i have seen before and during a time when you had to REALLY EARN YOUR STATS not with these soft rules and teams of today i mean Small forwards are playing center in todays game!!! Now if you want to rate LBJ the highest amoung current playes ok but not a 99.

I think Lebron is a great closer of a game, with 3 minutes in the 4th quarter down by 10 and need someone to provide a spark LBJ can do it with ease, but I don't think he is a great clutch player. That may sound crazy but a clutch player thrives in that final possession, they want the ball in there hands and will do anything to create a shot for themselves, Lebron does sometimes create a shot for himself but he is known for not taking that shot also and makes a great basketball play anyone can hit a huge shot every now and then but to be clutch you have to do it consistently...and as the best player in the NBA you got to want that shot. A Closer though can take over a game in the final minutes or for a whole stretch of the final quarter and Lebron is one of the best Closers in the game, it's funny how in the final moments he will often times not shoot but when it's the closing minutes of a game he will elect to shoot 9 times out of 10.

A pretty non-biased report of "clutchness" that do some of you some good to read.

James is not the best in clutch situations, but he is pretty damn good. LeBron's mid-range game is pretty damn good too, once again, not the best, but pretty damn good.

From 2007 til now LeBron James is nearly 40% from 10-23 feet, while Kobe is nearly 43% it looks a big difference until you see that LeBron is having to create more of his own shot from that area and Kobe has taken 1300 more shots and the percentages get closer the farther they step out.
