Re: No Crew Mode For NBA 2K13
This is my problem with them taking out crew and I'll try to keep it peaceful and somewhat unbiased.
Personally, I didn't use glitched players and neither did my crew. We got our player up around low to mid 90's (Mine was a 6 foot 3 93 OVR PG). It didn't take that long but we would also play some crew games with our players when they were not rated as high. The thing is, we usually would beat glitched players. 9 feet players with 99 OVR were beatable. Now of course it was hard, but I'm always up for a challenge. We didn't always win, but beating those guys was much more fun than destroying players who had regular MyPlayers. Now if the glitched players are still your main beef with Crew, didn't Ronnie2K tweet that all the player data for blacktop and such would be stored server side? So couldn't they do the same for Crew? And they said they are working on the servers but what if the servers are still how they've been forever? Didn't they make the same promise last year? Now I was highly disappointed when Crew was taken out of 2k12 but it was okay because I could and would often pop in 2k11 and play crew there, but now that the servers are gone my favorite game mode in 2k is gone with them. I could play Team Up but too often my friends get sent to the other team and the players in public team ups are simply horrible. I'm pretty much stuck to playing private team ups when we have enough people online. Now of course I'll still enjoy team up, but I have a feeling it might be like in 2k12 where I have no reason at all to play MyPlayer (I hope I'm wrong). I'll still buy the game and enjoy, but it's rather upsetting that my favorite thing to be put in to 2k is gone. It was the main reason I had been looking forward to 2k13 since 2k12 came out. Nothing on NBA 2k11 was more rewarding to me than taking my MyPlayer along with some of my friend's players and using strategy and skill to outsmart and outplay the other team. A HUGE chunk of the online and MyPlayer experience is gone. I'd take the glitches and everything with the same old crew mode than none at all. I've heard that we will be able to 3v3 with our MyPlayer and friends but that's not as good because I can't take my team against a strangers team and go at it in a full 5v5 game. I definitely understand why those who don't care about crew don't care about this news, but at least you guys should try to understand why us who love it are pissed. Well at least now I have a reason to hopefully look forward to 2k14.
