Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Developer Insight #5: MyTeam
what will probably actually happen is. some games you will see a team full of HOF's then the next game that person will be broke from having to pay so much money to play all those guys at once. even he had that much money to do so. it will be spent after one game of a stacked team. thats why if you eve get that kind of cash. you have to save it up for a game where you must win( an elimination game where you have to win that last game which is the 3rd game to get into the playoffs. OR maybe to win it all. who knows. if you choose wrong. and lose anyway. next game you will be flat broke. HA HAAComment

I'll stick to Offline Association and MyCareer.

I'm going to keep my mind open that if I play in tournament games against randoms, I could run into anything. You might run into super stacked teams very soon after release. Loopholes are almost for certain. Someone is going to find a way to manipulate that cash.Comment

I suppose there could be an exploit somewhere, hopefully they'll have a fix for it if there is. Or there could be a max amount of VC you can spend on a team for a session/game. Either way, we'll have to wait and see I guess.Comment

in the video they announce that you can purchase booster packs that will include not only players but also different uniforms and courts to play on. as for the name of your team im pretty sure that wasnt announced. im gonna guess it will be like playing a online ranked match in that just your psn/xbox name will just show up. thats just my guess thoNobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody is gonna die, come watch TV.- MortyComment

Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Developer Insight #5: MyTeam
I'm actually really excited for this mode. It may end up being my main mode if it is everything it says it is. I love the idea of mini-tournaments and I'm already one to try to create teams, so this is right up my ally. I hope we can have more than 10 players, or at least more than 10 cards and then we just choose our 10 for each game and pay their salary.
The main loophole I could see, though, is if we are allowed to play exhibition games off line on rookie level. Someone could just play the top level teams on the easiest level and load up on VC before they even step into Road To The Playoffs. I hope that's not the case. OR, it would be cool if the weighted the VC depending on what difficulty level you play so that the payoff wasn't that great if you played on Rookie.
Just because you feel it, doesn't mean it's there.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Developer Insight #5: MyTeam
At first I was thinking meh.. but this mode sounds nice. It is combination of fantasy basketball with a salary cap and special perks. I think the idea of keeping friends from playing friends has some drawbacks but the good thing is I think each team doesn't know the other player's squad. So it would be harder to cheat the system and strategize for your next opponent, when you don't know who you are going to play against next.Comment

You answered your own question -- because they haven't even shown anything about association mode. Even you have to recognize that, if 2K isn't actively promoting something, it hasn't gotten the attention it needs. What you just said beings me right back to last year where I was unhappy with the lack of an Association Mode insight. I was told to be patient because it was surely coming. It never came..
It came as ONLINE Association. An addition MANY people asked for...Comment
