For the people in San Jose, your best bet is to check out the San Jose Flea Market on Berryessa or a local 7-eleven. I've tried looking for it the past couple years at those locations, but I've heard that 7-eleven(yes they've sold games) sold Madden early since most of their workers have no knowledge on release dates.

I don't post much, but only around release time to help out and get info from other bay area 2k fans. Good luck everyone!

i'm the same type...pretty quiet until pre-release week to get info. that's why it says i joined in 2004, but i'm still a "rookie."

in your experience, does the flea market and/or 7-elevens usually have it friday night like the spots in socal? is there a typical timeframe?

I know a place in SoCal that I got 2k on the Saturday before it came out. Hopefully they will get it in that early again.

I would try 7-eleven. With the flea market, someone would have to illegally get a hold of copies(usually an inside job within a store), but with 7-eleven, it's a legal copy and some workers might not know the policies on games that should be sold on release date. I'll keep you and everyone in the bay area updated if I'm able to grab a game.

I was going to wait till the release date, but I think I might get this game early, after playing the demo my hype meter has gone through the roof. If you guys are getting the game through from ebay or craigs list let me know.

Pre-Preordered from Amazon, instead of release day delivery (+$10? No way) I got regular free shipping (expected arrival: Oct. 10-15, final price: $65 with all taxes oppose to release day delivery with $80, might as well get Dynasty Edition if I wanted to.) it would be funny if I do get my copy before the 10th... I've played what I've played, seen what I've seen, this game is too hard to pass up....

Expected, not the real date. With my previous luck with Amazon getting things about a couple days earlier than expect, you never know.
