Reading LD2K's Twitter he mentions that the self alley oop and offensive rebounds have been fixed in the retail version.

The art is definitely going to need the updates (that we didn't get in 2K12) this year. Jerseys don't look good, a lot of the players' skin tones aren't correct (Battier, LeBron, Sefolosha, Westbrook, and MICHAEL JORDAN aren't dark enough). And for the love of God, give us an update so we can have the home/away accessories. If Live can do it, I KNOW 2K can do it.NBA

And we need different player builds because besides the jersey numbers, I can't tell the difference between Durant, Ibaka, and Perkins...NBA

Re: NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here
This will probably be their best game. I can tell the gameplay will be, at the very least, good.
But I can't anymore with the control of the players. It's killing it for me. At times the player control should be smooth, I feel like I'm pushing hard for movement. At times when it should be more heavy, it's too smooth.
I never feel right with the sticks.
It's just a personal thing. Ill be canceling my pre order.
Sent from my mobile device.
Say what you will about the player movement in 2k11, but what made the control feel good was consistency. There was less variety to the animations, so you always knew how your player would move...it was simpler and a thus bit easier to grasp.
anyway, i don't necessarily think their control philosophy is a bad thing, but it's going to take some getting used to. as gamers we've been trained that when you do specific motion on your controller, you get a specific movement from the character. we have been trained that every time you do that motion, you will get the same exact animation...now I feel like my player kind of has a mind of his own. i still need to adjust.Last edited by blues rocker; 09-26-2012, 06:44 PM.Comment

I wish 2K could get crowd atmosphere correct someday. Thunder-Heat should have a playoff type atmosphere and you can barely hear the crowd at times although I think the crowd does a better job of reacting to whats going on on the court. Just take the feature from Live 10 of choosing crowd atmosphere but give it a different name. "Crowd noise" will do fine for me lol. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here
because of the confusion i popped in 2k12 to better explain myself. where are the player-specific size up moves?
from 2k12:
Sizeup - from a stand dribble hold LT then move LS toward basket
Sizeup Cross - from a stand dribble hold LT then move LS from ballhand towards non-ballhand
Sizeup Inside Out - from a stand dribble hold LT then move LS toward players ballhand
Sizeup Escape - from a stand dribble hold LT then move LS away from basket
where are these moves and also how do you execute them?
also almost every player had a set of 4 sizeup moves that were unique to them so Kobe's 4 sizeups were different from LBJ's or Durant's or D-Rose's. where are these moves at
in the demo if tapping the RS back 2x is the Sizeup Escape etc. then all the PG/SG/SFs all have the exact same moves and all the PF/Cs have the same moves.
hope this makes my question more clear.
Also the shot stick just adds a more casual friendly game play whereas in 12 if you wanted to pat the ball down court for example Evan turner hold LT and rock back and forward with left stick. you had to actually have learned the controls it wasn't that hard to do but only a few players knew how to do it. now everyone can do it with CS. I never had problems with which way I wanted to dribble last years game once I mastered that.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here
Quick review of the cyberfaces:
Lebron: OK. Not sure if improved from last year, headband angle wrong from last year.
Wade: Looks like Dywane McGrady. Not sure why they needed to update his face but he looks even less like himself than years prior. I liked 2K11's Wade, and some people liked 2K12's, but this year is just flat out off.
Bosh: Improved from last year.
Battier: Not bad except he looks like he has encephalitis. Could tone down the noggin size just a tad.
Allen: Looks decent.
Durant: Horrible. Again, looks like Pooh from some angles. There are moments that Durant actually looks decent and others where he looks completely off. I'm wondering if it has to do with how his expressions are rigged and how his eyebrows are mapped, because when he makes certain expressions is when he looks completely strange.
Westbrook: Not bad except for that weird mustache.
Harden: Pretty good, but looks souless for some reason.
Ibaka: Looks pretty good.
Perkins: Looks pretty good.
Somehow 2K12 decided to redo some stars and ended up with models worse than last years. The problem isn't necessarily that 2K's art team is bad-- it's that there seems to be lackluster quality control and faces are being approved by someone who isn't intimately familiar with what NBA players actually look like. I can understand a bench guy or role player's mediocre cyberface slipping through the cracks but at the very least they should get their superstars and cover athletes right. If they're going to update, they need to make sure it's an actual improvement and not a couple of steps back.
It's pretty concerning when almost all of the biggest stars in last year's finals have problematic faces. I wonder if Durant just sighs and shakes his head when playing as himself in 2K.Comment
