Anyone knows how to do a tip-in from an inbound pass? I'm not looking for a dunk, just a tip-in? -
Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
When calling for a screen, I know that you let go when it says Fade above the guy if you want them to Pick & Pop and all that...
Has anyone had an issue where they can't stop it from filling all the way up to Pick & Roll? I've been using pick & rolls, pick & pops and pick & slips all the time in MyCareer, and all of a sudden, no matter when I let go of the button, the meter just keeps filling up, so I can no longer call for anything EXCEPT a pick & roll.NFL: Bills

Yes in MyCareer, never once noticed it until about a week ago either. I don't get many minutes as PG but it doesn't seem to happen when I'm played there.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
I had the same problem. I think one of the best things I did was going through the training feature. That solved some of my problems. But also using the shot button in certain situations doesn't hurt either. On dunks or on swing passes to wide open players. I use the shot button. The beauty is that you can use both.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

This is why I converted solely to the shot button early on, it's not so bad once you get used to it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
^^That's what I did.^^ I think doing the drills vs another player (CPU) really helped out in the long run.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
I'll explain it this way: while on the run with a defender ahead of you, work the control stick in this fashion as if you we're looking at the face of a clock. So for this move it would be ( w/ ball in right hand) 7 o'clock then "flick" the stick to 3 o'clock. Hope that helps.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
Things that drops the CPU the most from my experience is Hesitation into behind the back. Any move into a behind the back would do though.
Speaking of dropping players, I have NEVER been dropped by another human player. Nor have I EVER dropped anybody. The falling animation from my experience, and that's quite a few online games now, doesn't happen in pvp.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
I found that the combo of between the legs-> to left to right crossover (or vice versa) seems to break defenders off consistently.

Re: NBA 2K13 Advanced Controls
Saw a Georgetown clip of AI (stationary position) where he did two dribbles behind his back, an in - an- out , followed by a double crossover Into a drive (tried that one on the CPU an they seem to stumble a lot)Comment
