I wasn't going to get involved with this thread, but as I was reading your post I had a thought out of the blue:

Since Jay-Z is executive producer and hands-on in this year's version, what an awesome opportunity 2k has here! With Jay-Z's recent experiences with the Nets, I'd personally be foaming at the mouth to see how Jay-Z would suggest this mode could be improved...

Perhaps he would say: "There needs to be some kind of Arena development phase during the off-season"

Or he could indicate: "Designing the uniforms of players and cheerleader squads really provided our organization with an opportunity to increase our revenue by 20%... this Association mode should give franchise owners the opportunity to invest in new ways of expanding their revenue...."

My point here is: Jay-Z would be an invaluable resource to add a lot to this mode if 2k utilized him. In 2k12, one of the things 2k did for MyPlayer (this year's MyCareer) was to sit down with some execs and ask them about some of the GM interview processes ... the result was that the whole experience was improved for the gamer who played that mode.

I really think the same could be done here for Association mode... if 2k sat down with Jay-Z and picked his brains, they could end up with some great insight into just what can be improved to make this mode better.

I just really wish that 2K had improved the transaction logic. CPU Signings, draftees, and trades have been bad for a while.

i really hope we are able to edit the players age again like in nba 2k11

i like to put all the older stars at their prime (i.e 25 yrs old or so).

Yeah if I wanted to play with a unrealistic, cartoon-looking, one voice talking, ********ly sponsored created player I would switch back to NBA street.. This is supposed to be the most realistic sim based basketball game ever.. I could care a less about all the useless crap they add to this game..

Let the casual gamers go buy live or NBA jam or NBA street... Keep this game realistic and fun for people who have been hardcore fans of your sim like game since the beginning..

SMH don't even get me started on the missing legends..

My point was, 2K has been the number one selling basketball game over the years for a reason... They should think twice about changing all that to fit the wants of kids

Re: Why is 2k continuing to ignore Association Mode?

Cold spots are one of the biggest issues regarding Association and I can guarantee that it'll go unnoticed again.

CAP players are basically worthless and it kills the basis of 'association.'

Don't forget Jordan owns an NBA team more so than Jay they could tap him for that kinda info too.

Any word on what happens with sig skills during the offseason or progression? Will I be able to add sig skills or will they add themselves? Can I remove a sig skill I don't want and put a new one on?

Meh. They add 1 or 2 improvements. I just wish the AI GMs were a little better.

My Player is a ton of fun, and if they make it deeper and not garbage like last year, I can see why it'll overtake Assosciation. But there's no reason to neglect it. 2k is slowly turning into EA, going for gimmicks over gameplay.

If they would just fix the simulated stats then I would be good to go...No more K. Love avg 8rpg....I'm tired of screwing with the rosters for hours on end to just get realistic individual stats...it's crazy.
