Re: Beluba's Isomotion Tips
The complexity with the iso moves/post moves/dribbling is unbelievable & I mean that in the best way possible. It makes the hard moves in 2k12 seem like coloring books. It's really amazing when you see everything sync correctly & in such fluidity. Speaking of fluidity I hope somebody from the 2k team is reading this sentence because one thing I'd love to see expanded on is the fluidity of movement.
I think ACIII opened up my eyes:
0:44 - 1:00
You see how the movements don't seem canned & it flows very well? That's how the players in NBA 2k should flow as well.Comment

Re: Beluba's Isomotion Tips
About 200 dollars, as soon as I get it I'll post videos. But what I can tell you is this, when you are sizing up you need to look at the distance between you and the defender, when you do a move and the defender moves or shifts that's when you go, if he stays where he is at you need to make him move or shoot the jumper.
Like Beluba said you have to bait them(size them up) and then capitalize(launch) when you see them fall for one of your moves.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

I kind of have a decent grasp on this. In real life I am basically just a spot up shooter - I can't dribble for squat lol so in this game it is really cool to be able to do all these things, the only problem is I don't do it in real life so I do not know how to properly capitalize on things.
I feel like in the game I just panic and randomly hit different directions on the RS. I usually start by sizing the guy up but then all hell breaks loose because I basically do not know what moves should be used when the defender moves certain ways. I try to look at game highlights for guys like kobe and rose and it does help a little seeing the moves they use (usually it is just a size up, cross and go, which tells me I have been using too many stationary crosses(like just moving the RS back and forth)) but I feel like once I learn which moves to use at what times it will make the game so much more fun.
Now once I get past the defender and have to decide what type of shot to use I become even more lost - too much thinking and having to memorize the controls lol. BUT that is the beauty of this game; they give you the tools to be great and you just have to learn them. I am looking forward to these videos jersez, thanks for taking the time to do it. I really want to get one of those capture things but 200 is a lot of cash!Comment

Okay here is a move set based on defenders distance
Close launches.
Spin
Hesitation
Behind the back
Stutter steps You should use these moves when the defender is close to you or has countered your previous moves.
The move set below are moves that require some space to work
Crossover
In&out
Cross-spin
Between the legs
You can do the moves I just listed to launch out of your size-ups but the defender usually needs to bit on a fake first for them to work.
It sounds complicated but it's really not, Like Beluba said know how much space each move covers and bait the defender. Sometimes you'll just get locked up pull the left stick back for a step back and shoot the j it's still a good shot, sometimes you have to take what your given.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

Re: Beluba's Isomotion Tips
Can someone help me with this question please? I had posted on the advanced controls thread, but no one has replied...
I just got 2K13 yesterday and decided to hit up training camp mode.
My first question is on the PS3 when you enter the shooting drill, the tutorials are all using the square button, and not the right stick with the shot modifier. I thought all the shots could be used on the right stick. Is there a way to switch the tutorial so I can practice using the shot stick with the modifier?
Second of all, if I want to change my controls to the 2k12 controls, how do I go about doing that? Could you guys provide step by step instructions for both of these questions?
Thanks!Comment

Jersez won't steer you wrong boss -- once he gets situated and can get a PVR his videos will get you right. Just remember everything is not in the RS -- that LS has some gems as well and is the key to breaking someone down.#WashedGamerComment

Re: Beluba's Isomotion Tips
No problem guys and Like Jerzyreign said once I get my Hdpvr I'll be able to show you guys. There is training camp, it teaches how to do the moves and gives you tips on when to do the moves. That's how I learned isomotion in 2k12 and it's helped me in 2k13. Try it out. Also this year you don't have to go through every move to get to the 1 on 1 test.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

Re: Beluba's Isomotion Tips
Forgot to say great thread man
I looked at this along with the training camp and it helped tremendously
Not that im crossing guys left and right but it has helped me make the right moves and understand others.. so now when I play I can do things accordingly, and once in awhile I'll throw guys off and go the other direction
Mike gave some great quick tipsComment
