    Re: Beluba's Isomotion Tips

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out any of this. Even in the first post, Beluba says:"*The key is to let off LS as you input the RS move, allow the cross (or whatever move) to initiate, then immediately move the LS in the direction you want to move AFTER the ISO move is done."

And then immediately after, he says he moves the LS in the middle of the ISO move, not when the move is done. Which way is it? During the move? After?

I just cannot seem to get any smoothness to the moves whatsoever. I feel like Brandon Jennings should be able to blow by some PF, but I'm not even getting past them because I start the size up, see that I want to go left, so i jam my L stick that way, but it seems like it's just not fluid and has no explosion. It seems like nothing is chaining for me. Almost as if I do the size-up, then stop, then I finally start going left but with no explosion.

Anyone notice you lose energy just doing basic crossovers? I get they don't want the game to become the And1 Mixtape Tour, but it doesn't seem realistic to me.

          Doing it wrong

Its not about jamming the stick

Its about getting a guy off balance and using his momentum against him

Learn the controls first and you'll do it alot easier

          Go through training camp

The first post you quoted he was saying he lets RS move complete he doesn't move the Left stick in the middle of the move, and he was saying we have to let both stick work independently. Using both stick at the same time will not work.

The second part he was saying when he sees the defense react that's when he presses the LS.

As for your problem try this, focus soley on the defender don't look at the ball handler, look at how far he is, look at which position(he is shading you, playing straight up or did he back off) Give him one size up move, if he does bite move away or closer to the defender forcing him to move, then hit him with another size up (and while you size up hold the RT and use the RS to size and press the left stick to explode.)

You can go to the first post and click on advance control thread, it should direct you to the complete control list. Training camp also gives you little tips. like today I had a tip that read "when sizing up read at how the defender reacts" things like that can help you out stick with it.

I agree with this whole post but I want to speak on the highlighted comments. If you wiggle the stick back and forth you will not prosper, if you create a rhythm with your moves and read and react properly you will not have a problem getting past the defender. Also when you focus and look at the defender only you will get better results. It sounds crazy but it works. Like beluba said spamming the stick will not work guys.

So are you guys pushing LS at the end of the dribble move or when you see the defender move?

It seems like all the people are saying watch the defender not the move. So it would make more sense to move the LS when you see the defender move to get the explosive launch.

But if the launch doesn't start till the dribble animation is over what is the point of pushing it before the move ends? Does the LS kind of load up and execute when the dribble animation ends?

In real life I am basically just a spot up shooter - I can't dribble for squat lol so in this game it is really cool to be able to do all these things, the only problem is I don't do it in real life so I do not know how to properly capitalize on things.

I feel like in the game I just panic and randomly hit different directions on the RS. I usually start by sizing the guy up but then all hell breaks loose because I basically do not know what moves should be used when the defender moves certain ways. I try to look at game highlights for guys like kobe and rose and it does help a little seeing the moves they use (usually it is just a size up, cross and go, which tells me I have been using too many stationary crosses(like just moving the RS back and forth)) but I feel like once I learn which moves to use at what times it will make the game so much more fun.

Now once I get past the defender and have to decide what type of shot to use I become even more lost - too much thinking and having to memorize the controls lol. BUT that is the beauty of this game; they give you the tools to be great and you just have to learn them. I am looking forward to these videos jersez, thanks for taking the time to do it. I really want to get one of those capture things but 200 is a lot of cash!
When I read that, I remembered that I made something that just MIGHT help you. Guys, if I am wrong in this pic, lemme know. This was my plan of making a blog post on my blog or video to explain, but here is what I wrote yesterday about how to react to the defender: Tips/additions would be nice!

When you see the defender move push the left stick. Also no you don't have to wait for the dribble animation to finish. There are different launch points so you press the ls when you feel you have the defender out of position.

I dont know of this has been answered already, sorry in advance but can someone teach me how to do size-ups? The advanced one like faking a shot then doing size up moves in a fluid motion? I saw Carmelo doing that, I can only do jab steps. Lol do the defender needs to be engaged to perform those moves?

Do I need to hold turbo to launch?

I've noticed that when I use it I get more explosive launches.

I have a question for Beluga, Mike Wang, how do you do the double shimmy fadeaway out of the post. I cant seem to do it with any regularity, and when i do perform it, it is not the way it was last year. Last year we had 3 inputs on the shot stick. I have managed to do a double shimmy fadeaway out of the post with just two inputs on the shot stick. This is a major move for me so i would like your help please!
