Will PSN version on 2K13 be avilable at Midnight?

I bought a copy and just wondering if It will be avilable at midnight on Monday, all it says when you Buy it is that you can download on the 2nd, so hopefully it's midnight on Monday.

Any one know for sure?

Yes. I am picking mine up from GameStop 12:00AM Tuesday.

hopefully if it doesn't drop at 12:01 am it will teach you to not support the broken Digital Distribution philosophy of Sony and Microsoft.

Charging retail prices for digital games is terrible, and supporting that behaviour is even worse.


OR hopefully if it does drop at 12:01 am this simple post by a fellow gamer will be enough to discourage you from supporting M$ and $ony's digital distribution philosophy.

Be careful, I was going to go digital until terms and condition states you must sign into the PSN network to play it.

I was thinkin bout doin this cuz i wouldnt mind havin on my system becuz next year wen i sell it any way ill get nuthin for it........and also i didnt think it would release 12 midnight like gamestop and i didnt know if i would get duped out of the all star weeken dlc cuz i know they print the dlc code on ur receipt at gamestop so i dont know how psn would do it.... so ill be pickin it up afta work on monday from gamestop

Not really a problem for me, because it doesn't mean you have to sign into the 2k servers, just means I have to sign in with psn which I always do.

It says you have to be signed into PSN when you start the game. You also can only play it on the account that downloaded the game. The two system limit is also different for this game. It can only be played on one system within a 24 hour time frame. All of this info is in the box when you go to pre order it from PSN.

Are you sure only 1 account, how is it not like the demo and everything else in psn?
It doesn't matter to me though, none of that affects me, I just want to know what time I can get it and how long it will take to download

No one could really tell you that cuz no one knows your internet speed. If you get it at midnite, you might not even get to actually play the game till 2 or 3 in the morning..shoulda just went to gamestop.

I don't live in the US, but let's say I have a normal Internet speed, would think a couple of hours to download

your talking PSN here buddy. I've seen gigbiyte patches take hours to download. And if PSN traffic affects DL speeds I wouldn't expect to be playing it before the sun rises.
Your talking about an 8 gigabyte game(roughly). If the demo is 944mb(just under 1 gig, on 360 btw) and it took you 60-90 minutes to download, multiply that by 8 and you have a rough estimate of how long it'll take 2k13 to fully download. Sooo 8-10 hours.

On a personal note, please reconsider your digital purchase. Just because Online DRM and high prices are not a problem for YOU does not mean they are not a problem for others.
By supporting these anti-consumer measures your are encouraging them to continue.

Just in case you didn't know, if PSN goes down for ANY reason you will be 2kless. Support your local retailer, it's the lesser of the 2 evils.

If I supported my local retailer I would get it later, I actually don't even think I would need to be signed into psn to play. What is the reason, how is this case any different to downloading a demo or dlc? It doesnt make any sense. That being said in all my time of psn I can't remember it going down for longer than about 15 mins. (touch wood)
