Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Created a new All-Around PF out of boredom (I already have a PG MyCAREER). Drafted 12th to the Rockets. Played the 1st game against Detroit and had only 2 pts and 1 rebound (I have no idea how to play a PF). Jeremy Lin had a season-ending injury in the FIRST game of the season. Wow. Tony Douglas went on a rampage in the game - he had 47pts. I can't remember the score but we blew out the Pistons.
When I made it to the HOF with my PG I'm going to play with this PF. I plan on making him a all-rounder: able to dunk, post up, shoot from the perimeter and block shots.Last edited by InvizTJ; 12-07-2012, 09:57 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I always get worried when I simulate to next key game. I simulated past 4 games and my team went 0-4. Plus my stats went down from 23, 8, and 9 to 20, 7, and 7.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
So I finally decided to dive into this mode with a 7'1, 290lb, rebounding Center. I thought I did decent at the rookie showcase with 9 points, 20 rebounds, and 1 block. The game thought i did fantastic and i could have gone as high as the 4th pick. I decided I wasn't a fan of the idea of playing with the Kings, Cavs, or Raptors so I waited out the draft and got picked 18th by the Rockets. I feel like a center like myself is the last piece of the Rockets puzzle. The eventual starting line-up should look something like this
Lin
Harden
Parsons
Patterson

In 3 years Howard won't even matter because there won't be any question as to who the best center of all time will be. I play on HoF/Sim and 34 games into my rookie year on the Raptors 15-19 W-L I'm already avg 26 pts 14 rbs a game. He's revolutionizing the position, like Lebron does as a SF. A freak of nature. A Miracle Man haha. The Rockets and the Raptors were the only 2 teams I wanted to get drafted by.
I'm glad the Raptors got me because in my 1st game the commentators were talking about how whenever toronto drafts a great player they always leave as soon as they can because no one wants to play up in canada so now the organization has to resort to drafting only european players (Bargnani, Valančiūnas) so maybe they would want to stay. But they took a chance on Tate with the 8th pick and end up getting the best center thats ever played the game.Last edited by Humdinger80; 12-07-2012, 03:40 PM.Comment

Questions for people playing on Superstar/Sim.. ..lol bear with me:
How realistic is the challenge?
Does the CPU miss open/semi-contested J's? If so, how?
Do they seem to get a disproportionate amount of ORebs when they miss?
Are you able to get blowout wins vs horrible teams (I ask b/c I played ORL who were 5-22, yet Harrington began the game 6-6, 4-4 on 3's, Redick in the 1st qtr went 4-5, 2-2 on 3's, and Afflalo also began the game 3-3, 2-3 from 3. The first qtr ended 38-27 ORL. They shot this well all with defenders on them, just sagging which is annoying because they won't play tight and you can't force them to)? It seems like every night each team has a few players who will just play unbelievable making it just as hard to beat WAS as it is to beat SA/MIA.
I have Def. Anchor maxed, Bruiser lvl 1 and my Chemistry is at 82 now.
I just ask because I'm torn between Superstar which I can see myself losing quite a bit on, and All-Star which has almost become what Pro used to be before the patch, with the ORebs glitch. But what I love about All-Star is the CPU actually misses J's.
Currently we are 18-10 and 9-1 in our last 10. I'm leaning toward just saying eff it, stay on SS, deal with the BS and actually get L's. But just wanted to know what you guys(and gals) are seeing on SS/Sim.
Not even gonna ask about HOF. The mess that happens on HOF and what you have to do to win is insane.

We(Hornets) are one of the worst teams in the league(on 12 game losing streak). We have the 2nd worst record and loss almost every game I played. But, I dont think this a bad team. We have a very young talented team and that is built for the future. A very good frontcourt with me, Davis, and Wilson Chandler. Eric Gordon is good. I just dont like Austin Rivers at the PG spot. I think he can be better off the bench as a SG. We just need to draft a PG with our top 3 pick we WILL have.
Meanwhile my PG on Pacers, are one of the best teams in the league(on 12 game winning streak). It is 8 seasons down the line. A great all-around team. Me, an athletic 6'10 SF playing SG, Melo, Very Athletic (84 speed) 7'0 PF, 6'11 Center that can reb and block shots and bruiser. All we have to do is keep the game close(if we are not blowing teams out) until the 4th and let Melo take over.
Rebounding is better. I think skills like Defensive Anchor and Floor General has a major effect/
I actually like 2k drafts this year for the most part. I would rather have custom draft classes, but this is better than previous year. More busts upfront in classes. Different type of players. Defensive players, scorers, rebounders, blockers, hustlers. There arent many 3pt shooters, though. On my Pacers team most of the players are generated due to me asking for trade suggestions. I have a backup center that is rated 68-72, but plays his a** off. I wouldnt mind him starting, but I like our starter better. The 6'10 athletic SF is an all-around player that can rebound, defend/block, score(not consistent though), pass to a degree. The Athletic 7'0 PF has a nice mid range game, finish around the rim(99 Layup and Dunk, but no finisher skill), and can block and reboundLast edited by illwill10; 12-07-2012, 05:16 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Well after 5 games with the Warriors ( fouled out the last 2 ) asked to be traded went to the Spurs for Parker ..doesn't make sense why the Warriors would want another PG especially on the bench
Anyway dominated the Knicks with a triple double in my Spurs Debut facing the 9-0 Nuggets next.Comment
