7'0 and only 240. Would be like a gigantic twig. Nice career stats though.

Thanks. And that size is quite common from what I've seen.

It's actually very small for a 7 footer, most are about 260 above.

No it's not, who are you guys looking at? Basketball players are small (weight) by nature, the few who are 260 and up are less common. There might be 10 7 footers who are 260 and up right now in the NBA. I went off of Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar..

Ah, retired players from years past. I think the norm nowadays is much larger and more muscle. Players like Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum and Brook Lopez are 260 and over. But, I suppose its how you play. A power center like Howard would need more bulk, but if you play like Bosh and Dirk, then that weight would be perfect.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

After playing more than 40 games in My Career this is what I can say about the gameplay (default/PRO):

                  - ridiculous dribble penetration into the paint from both CPU and my teammates. Kinda OK but watching Gallinari get the ball for a WIDE open 3 and instead run into the nearest defender and spin his way all the way under the rim- several times every game. OK, it's his thing, I get it...but seeing McGee do it a few times (not from the 3pt line but from near the foul line)...McGee who has an F rated ball handling? All the while me with a BH of 85 can't get past a "slow" big man on a D mismatch? Please...

                  - all teams run nearly the same plays nearly all the time, as a result every game feels the same as the next one, including my own team

                  - spot up 3pt shooters will spot up at the 3pt line only to rush into the paint the moment you pass the ball to where they originally were, resulting in a turnover and a nice big grade drop; or worse, they get the ball and instead of taking the open shot they dribble right into their defender and get forced to pick up their dribble, killing the play completely. Happens ~90% of the time

                  - amazing pass accuracy from CPU controlled players, on both sides. I've seen big men (Fareed, McGee) drop incredible assists to each other between 4 defenders, all season long. Meanwhile my 85 pass rating is apparently not enough to even lob the ball properly over a single defender. Kinda feels useless to put points into passing skill if the only passes that will ever make it are the ones where there's absolutely no one between you and the receiver. If there's even 1 defender anywhere near the passing lane- count it a turnover.

                  - 5"10 PGs can dribble their way into the paint while being actively guarded by 3 people, spend 2 secs under the rim and lay it in through the same 3 ppl, no one ever able to tip the ball out of their hands or God forbid- block/alter their shot. Happens on both sides, all the time. And if the miss (which rarely happens) they will 90% of the time grab the Offensive R (between the 3 opponent players) and put it back in...smh, main reason I stopped getting into the paint with my player- I get blamed for every Offensive rebound and if there's a scramble on D my D assignment changes to whichever player just scored and I get a blame for that, too...Great fun

                  - I made a 7'1 center once for My Career- wow, biggest mistake of my entire gaming career. Good thing I didn't end up killing myself after the rookie showcase game in which I somehow got an A- (just barely) despite getting only 5 (defensive) rebounds and giving up, oh, I don't know- 20-30? I watched the replays and the ball would literally go through my hands as I was jumping for the R. Had 77 or so Def. R rating. Also had 1 block and got posterized by every single opponent who could dunk.

                  - every game there are like 20 offensive rebounds for each team (12 min quarters)

                  - GM sitdowns are useless

                  - my "salary" as a rookie is 500 points/year, which comes out to 36 points every paycheck, aka every 2 weeks, or 18 points/week. I get 100-170 from a single game or in a week with 4 games I can get 400-680....did they forget to add a 0 to the salary numbers?

                  - crazy alley oops from the CPU all night long, all season long

I can't even imagine the joy of playing on higher difficulties. Right now I'm doing well stats wise (15 ppg, 7-8 assists, 3-4 rebounds, a couple of steals, a block here and there, we're on a 24 game winning streak and I'm a starter PG. THey were making me play a SG and it was no fun so I used NBA2k13 roster editor to injure Ty Lawson for the rest of the season )

Man, I love this game but the amount of frustration that comes out of playing this mode is just heart crushing. I hope they fix all these for 2k14 and oh, this time if they again release a broken game, please make a patch for the PC too, ok?

                    I got some more...

                    - playing time: right now i get to play 40 minutes per game (12 min quarters) which is nonsense because the entire 4th quarter I'm on 50% energy and even if we're 30 pts in the lead they never sub me out. I already have an A+ or an A rating, what more do you want me to do? It can only go worse for me from that point on. What kind of coach keeps his starters playing when the game has been won already? There NEEDS to be a way for the player to ask to be subbed out and the coach logic need a LOT of work

                    - Grading logic is ridiculous, too. 40 point lead, A+ rating, 2 mins to go, 6 steals on my name, get called for a reach-in foul (1st foul in the game) = huge drop in rating, a yell from the coach threatening to bench me?? They were not in the bonus, I didn't reset their shot clock from like 3 secs left, it was near the half court, what's the big deal? Few seconds later I commit a turnover- another huge rating penalty, well- we're still 40 points in the lead, so again- what's the big deal here? Guy scores a lucky 3 pointer with 5 secs on the game clock left - huge rating drop- wow, you let our victory margin slip from 40 to only 37 points? SHAME ON YOU, SCRUB.

                    - half the time you don't get credit for contesting a shot even if your hand was right in the shooter's face

                    - AI pass the ball right through your hands

                    - AI shoot the ball right through your hands

                    - AI dunk the ball right through your hand

                    - AI dribble right through you, no contact. Should've made some screenshots, it kinda looked like the Human Centipede.

                    - PG, after basket inbound play, no defender in our half of the court, call for pass by mistake after trying to skip the replay- "BAD CALL FOR PASS"

I read your last 2 posts and share some of your frustration. This game is not perfect, no where near it. What I will say is this, you just gotta take the good with the bad. And at the end of the day, if it's too much for you, move on and play something else. And if you want realism in myCareer, I suggest you to pick up a basketball yourself and shoot some hoops.

i think the points that you (sops) raised are valid. Heck i noticed the same thing when i first played mycareer. (nver played nba 2k since 2k4 i think, im more of NHL).

hopefully 2k Could address the issues you raised: specially playing minutes while your team is leading with big margin, salary, passing (specially if you are standing near the 3 pt line, once you received the pass and you shoot it, miraculously you are above the 3 pt line) etc.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

So after changing the rosters mid-season to get Ty Lawson a 6 month injury somehow he healed up in 2 weeks and he was back on the starting PG position with me SG. I decided this time to edit his attributes, I lowered everything down to 25 so now he's a 25 overall with all Fs

However, guess what- he's still a starter with 35 mins playtime, his tendencies are the same as before which is hilarious to watch him try to take on the entire team 1 against 5 and get blocked into oblivion over and over. He also commits like 5 turnovers per quarter and 5 mins into the game he gets the little Gatorade icon because of his 25 stamina, however he still is the starter and gets about 20 mins each game which was enough to get us from an unstoppable title contender to a just above average team.

I went to the GM but there's no option to complain about anything (I already complained 2 weeks ago about Andre Miller who even though was subbing in as a SG would ballhog and refuse to pass to me- the PG, or to anyone else and instead go 1 on 5 and have like 3 turnovers and 1/7 FG each game with no negative consequences for him)

Is there any way to get rid of Ty Lawson permanently? Will there be an option later in the season (right now- 56 games played) to suggest a trade? I really like it there in Denver and I don't want to ask to be traded.

I have a question- how can you tell by looking at the schedule which games are key games? Is there any way to find out the key games before you actually play them?
