Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I think I actually enjoy being the second or third option/star on a team more than the first. I'm averaging a respectable 16/8/9 on the Lakers and feels nice to be winning games without having to drop 40ppg. Playing for the Lakers with Kobe, Gasol, and Nick Young (him and JR Smith are very dangerous in this game) makes it easy to just facilitate rather than always look to score.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
It's ridiculous how easy it is to get an A+ with a center. I had my 64 overall C get A+ after A+ in just 15 mins/game time just by setting pointless screens which no one even used. Sometimes I'd just set a screen and the defender would get caught up in it 3-4 times in a row, trying to get around from each side a couple of times. This alone boosted my grade from C average to a solid C+. I had 0-6 pts per game and 5-6 defensive rebounds, 1 total block in 3 games, we lost by 15-20 and I still got an A+ each time. I was giving up rebounds on D like a ****** but got very little penalty and the opposing C rarely even touched the ball.
To get an A+ as a PG/SG you literally have to win the game all by yourself and it's still far from guaranteed. My last game (playoffs) as a PG vs. Spurs I had 37 points on 31 attempts (90% of those were "Good shot selection"), 14 assists, 5 steals, 5 turnovers, had to play 46 minutes and still only got an A- because Tony Parker and the substitute PGs scored a total of 55 points which were of course all on my tab despite getting a "Good shot defense" on half of their attempts.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Tried simulation sliders for 2 full games- feels like everyone is overdosed on sleeping pills. Just looking at the way my player moves without the ball, I don't think he would pass a sobriety test. A lot more fouls called for the CPU, offensive rebounding is even worse because they now miss a lot more so they grab more ORs.
Playing on D however is much, much easier because I can just sag off with a huge cushion and live with the open shot because they miss it more often than not, then sprint out of the paint ASAP before I get blamed for "Allow offensive rebound/allow man to score". Getting assists on the other hand is much harder because your guys will also miss the few wide open shots they take and under the rim they will get bumped and sent into the "lean back and throw the ball blindly at the backboard" animation, that is if your pass even makes it to them because passes will get stolen/tipped ~70% of the time. Trying to steal the ball from a live dribble results in a reach in foul 9 times out of 10 and half the game time is spent watching ppl shoot free throws.
Am I doing it all wrong?Comment
