    Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

Finishing off the week with a big win over the T-Wolves, as Klay returned and played ten scoreless minutes. They pulled out ahead in the third but who else -- Charles Jenkins -- comes up with 10 fourth quarter points to put us ahead! Upgraded his role to Role Player and gave Biedrins Bench Warmer after the game (I'm doing everything I can to piss Biedrins off so he won't exercise his huge option for next season).

I moved Klay back to a starting role and put Jack back in the 6th man spot. Bazemore still out for a week. Ezeli is day-to-day with back spasms, and we've got the Thunder and Mavs next, so I moved Jeremy Tyler onto the roster and put Draymond Green on reserve.

    FINAL MIN 92 - GS 100

    Chase Budinger 23 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 1 to
    Derrick Williams 12 pts, 12 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
    Jarrett Jack 19 pts, 5 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl, 3 to
    Harrison Barnes 15 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk, 1 to
Andrew Bogut 10 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl

Do you guys suggest I play on Hall of Fame default? I am looking for a challenge. I currently play on the 2K camera which makes it so easy to play defense but whenever I switch to the stadium broadcast I can never stay in front of my man and the court feels too cluttered.

I am also considering trading Gasol because at the moment my bench is very weak and I still can't get his jump shot down. I was considering trading him along with maybe Blake for Bargnani, Calderon, and/or Kleiza and although the trade seems fair I don't like it for my Lakers squad.

Also, is there an option to amnesty a player? There is an option to release but I am unsure if it will be used as an amnesty and I'm not risking it on auto-save.
Well 7-3 is something L.A. would do irl, if not better, so that should be expected. If you're just bored of playing, then I suggest you watch some tape of Dantoni's spacing and Nash's execution of the pick and roll and try to incorporate them in what your run. If you're beating teams the right way (no cheese), you wouldn't feel guilty about beating them. As a frequent Lakers user, I would advise you to utilize MWP more on both offense and defense. He's capable of great things. Another thing to have fun with, is creating different lineups, especially in the frontcourt. Maybe try Gasol and Hill off the bench with Jamison and Howard starting. Pau is so versitile, and if you can get the PNR with him to perfection, you'd be golden. There is virtually no trade out there that will get you equal or better talent for Pau. Rather, learn to play with Pau and incorporate guys like Jamison, Hill, Meeks, and Morris. There is no option to amnesty, you'd have to do it manually (edit player-edit contract).

Knicks are now 21-6: 3 recent losses in the hardest part of the schedule. almost every team ive had to play this month are in the playoffs. Took a beating from the spurs of like 15pts, and that was us closing in..wow! for some unknown reason, now i cant shoot at all with Jason Kidd. he was pulling almost 8pts a game, now hes down to 4. not what i need heading into the playoffs. his shooting % is tanking so i now know i have to stop his offense and focus on pure assists. still in 1st place and have the best nba season record and #1 playoff seed clenched already. Lakers game up next.

Nuggz are now 17-10: 3 recent losses as well. none were crazy tho...just the usual run of the mill not closing out the gm. had a couple games where wilson chandler was just COLD. that has hurt our offense a tad and contributed to some of the losses as i tried to shoot him out of the funk. lesson learned. we dropped from #2 in the west behind the Clippers now to #3 seed with 2 gms left. playoff spot is clenched and the records are very close on the west so my seed may change slightly depending on last 2 gms.

will be starting the playoffs this wknd. cant wait to see the matchups and get the chase going. really hoping i can get my knicks to the finals. its only right considering the work put into the season, but of course nothing is guaranteed. as far as the nuggz, my goal is to at least advance outta the 1st round and hopefully not have to play the spurs considering how bad they blew out my knicks who are the best in the league.
Aight....season finished up and playoffs started. Knicks finished 23-6 with best overall record in nba and division winners and Nuggz finished 18-11...i simmed the last gm against cleveland(my team 85ovr to their 75ovr) and i lost, go figure. screwed me from tying to win the division with the thunder at 19-10 but whatever. Melo won the MVP in a tight race. It moved around every week but i managed to get Melo to snag it. Knicks were #1 seed in the east and denver was the #4 seed out west.

        1st Round -best of 3

Nuggz #4 vs Mavs #5 - we came in with a phantom injury to Anthony Randolph for 1-2wks. He's not a major contributor but still, this is the playoffs. i need all the soldiers prepared for war. we DOMINATED the mavs. i was a lil woried considering they were one of the 6 teams to beat my Knicks. they did snag that win early so maybe they werent all that and i was just getting used to my team and still establishing good rotations then. well Nuggz went off and set the tone early. we won game 1 by 18pts 95-77. Dirk was quiet only hitting 6pts. the game was never close and it was one sided. game 2 was a lil better for them as Dirk got 20pts but we still beat them by 7pts 93-86. there was no breakout star in either game. my Nuggz play as a team and has no 1 star. Iggy, Lawson, and Faried were the best though. best player off the bench would have to be Jarryd Bayless.

Knicks #1 vs Bucks #8 - Felt good coming into this matchup for obvious reasons. although we won game 1 by 7pts 101-94, it didnt feel as good as i wanted it to cuz of our D. we couldnt stop Monta Ellis for nothing. he scored 32 points and kept them in the game. on my side Melo, Shump, Felton, JR Smith, Kidd, and Amare were handling their biz.

game 2, same thing...Monta Ellis went off again for 36pts while Melo had 31pts, but we lost by 7pts 104-97. the problem in that game was the extra help by Ilyasova who i paid no mind. i didnt play him tight and paid for it as he hit plenty of open short to mid range outlet shots while we focused on Ellis and Jennings.

aight, series tied up at 1-1, nerves were at a all time high since the next win seals it up. game 3 we made sure to play Ilyasova tight as he was the open outlet in game 2 when Monta got jammed up and it paid off well. Monta went off again and made my life hell but we held off and won by 5pts 104-99. man i wasnt expecting this to be a good series, but man they made it tense. i will never doubt them again as long as they have Jennings and Ellis together.

        2nd Round - best of 5

        Nuggz #4 vs Thunder #1 -
feeling good because i know we're gonna get demolished but at least we made our goal of getting to the playoffs and getting outta the 1st round. Anything after that is a bonus for me. game 1 went exactly as i imagined. they beat us all game long. I started my assoc early before the Harden trade so they still have all 3. We held Harden down, but Durant and Westbrook are problems all day. Durant was killing Wilson Chandler and when he switched to the 4 and was against Faried, forget it. Westbrook was all over and going crazy. so hard when a team has 2 superstars, and you know Harden can be one too if u slip on him. they have Tyler Hansborough at the 5 and he went in on us for like 12pts and many rebs...that wont happen again.

game 2 we came out swinging early. quickly went up in the 1st by 11pts. they spent alot of the game trying to come back from it, until they finally went up for the first time in the 3rd...ohhh shhhhh!! Lawson and Iggy had to get it done since Chandler was neutralized by Durant's height and speed advantage at the 3. I also leaned on Faried to beat their lackluster Ibaka and Hansborough. it worked out well. We had a chance to win the game with 5.8secs left. i rolled the ball up court where Lawson picked it up at halfcourt to quickly drive and make it happen...no foul and he missed the layup...overtime damn!!

Figured id lose most likely in overtime i tried to slow it down. we had about 1:30 left in the qtr and we were up by 2. i had just subbed in Gallinari who has been so bad in the playoffs since he's spending his mins at the 4 instead of splitting between the 3 and 4 due to the Randolph injury. i figured i needed all my shooters in for the last few possessions and may need to hit from mid range. boy was this the best sub ever...Durant was driving trying to tie it up, when he stopped and went for a side hop jumper, that Gallinari blocked!! that literally won the game for us. after one more stop and a bunch of intentional fouls from the Thunder and hitting all the free throws we won by 8pts 109-101. shots go out to Gallinari for that BIG Durant block and to Iggy for his 33pts performance. that may be his season high as i can only remember 29pts before that. series is now tied at 1-1!!

Knicks #1 vs Wizards #5 - We got a nice win in game 1. they have an injured brad beal who won rookie of the year, so thats a pretty big blow as he's a starter. They lean hard on John Wall, Nene, and Crawford. unfortunately thats just not enough for them to take out the best in the league Knicks. too much firepower to contend with. cant remember the score on this one but it was a handy win of at least 7pts or better. series is 1-0 for us knicks. game 2 to be played tonight.

Playoff forecast - From the looks of it if i win the Nuggz vs Thunder, the Lakers are looking like theyre gonna win over the Clippers as they are up 2-0 so far. If i win Knicks vs Wizards, i will be playing the Heat most likely as they are up on the 76ers 2-0 and i dont see them losing to them.

Edit: Knicks are now up 2-0 over the Wizards...one more win necessary to move up and meet the heat for the conference finals.

          Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

I signed an assistant coach with all A grade and then we never stop winning. Bucks had 10game winning streak after losing the opener against the celtics.

Most of my wins are close and still cant determine the strength yet as i havent played against the great teams in the west i won the rematch against celtics by 4, won vs miami with lebron hurt by 3 and recently won against bulls by a pt thanks to the last second open jumper miss by rip

Now 10-1 but im not changing the difficulty yet as those wins are all hardwork hehe.

Ellis average 27.3 pts 4.2 reb and 6.3 while jennings had 16.5 pts 3.3 reb and 8.1 asst with 1.4 stls.

Next game again vs the bulls! Really loving the defense of the bucks!

            Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

i am playing as the bucks and after successfully gutting my roster of just about everyone making more then league minimum i have changed the league.
I was able to acquire the 1,3 and 6th overall picks and drafted shabeez Muhammad and i foget the other players but all 3 rookies are a 75 or better. throgh free agency i got tony douglas, Dwight Howard and Iggy. my team is 7th in defense but dead last on offense. once we get gelling together (my chemistry is at 10%!!!) i feel like that will change and player rating will go up instead of down. we are a team that can dominate the paint and shoot 3's as well. i can honestly say i could see myself taking them to a title. (i will probably change the difficulty once i learn all their releases.

About to start an association with the Spurs and looking to go for giold in the first season. Using the OS Collab rosters, they're ranked the 7th best team overall, so I'm looking for trades that can improve them straight away, probably for the next 2-3 years. Willing to trade younger guys and picks for players who will make me better straight away.

My Trail Blazers is RIP, due to the auto save feature and my roommate accidently over-rode mine. I am going back and forth between 2 teams now Wizards & Cavaliers. Leaning towards the Wizards. Will be using Bed's rosters, and starting on the 12/10 date feature in 2k.

We are currently 38-12 We sound like we will be 1# in the west But the Lakers are Number 1# with 1 44-6 record
                  Starting LineUp
                  PG Gilbert Arenas(19.2 PPG)

Curry is out of the starting line up with a little injury for a day to day injury but im saving him for the all star Game . And since Harrison Barnes Is in the Race for ROY with Damein Lilard And Anthony Davis i choose to sit out T Mack until the 4th quarter. And Bogut is averaging like 14 PPG and blocking lots of shots

                      Bn.) J. Henson - 1point

Re-signed Ellis to a 4 year 55 million contract, with a 5th year player option. Now i just need to resign Jennings and the future will be set. I also just completed development drills, passes shooting with Jennings, passes two man post/rebound with Iylasova (make him better in the post), but failed shooting with Henson..

U guys should post your avg so far for your team, itd be interesting to see.
That is awesome that you have signed Monta to a long term deal. I have not been able to yet. He says he is interested in staying with the team at the end of the year and he is very loyal so I am hoping that is a good sign and maybe that means that I can get a deal done before that time haha.

New coach Johnathan Starks has implemented an offensive system that caters to Brandon Jennings' strengths. Jennings is having a career year in this system and the team is playing great. Jennings leads the league in PPG, APG, and SPG. With the year that he is having, he is a lock for the all-star game, he is definitely in the running for MVP, and should be able to lead his team into the playoffs. His performance will earn him as max contract for sure.

The Bucks are riding a 5 game win streak since dropping the Boston Celtic game. The Celtic loss hurt because if we had won that game we would have clinched the season series so a tie at the end of the year would mean that we would get a higher seed to break the tie. After crushing the New Orleans Hornets and the short handed Spurs on a 2-game roadtrip, the Bucks got revenge against Charlotte in a 124-120 win in Milwaukee. We then went on the road to Brooklyn and Jennings broke the team record for assists with 29 in a 128-121 win over the Nets. We then returned home to crush the Sacramento Kings who were outclassed right from the start in a 124-100 blow-out.

Our next game will be an interesting one because it features the top 2 scorers in the NBA. Jennings leads the league in PPG but Kyrie has scored more points. Both are PGs so the head to head matchup should really be exciting. I am hoping to really shut Kyrie down and get some distance in the PPG category so Jennings can be the scoring champ haha. In the first game against the Cavs, the Bucks won easily, 121-102.

Here are my players' stats at this point in the season

                      PG: Brandon Jennings 31.5ppg, 1.5rpg, 14.1apg, 3.0spg
                      SG: Monta Ellis 25.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.3apg, 1.6spg
                      SF: Stephen Jackson 10.0ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.9apg, 1.0spg
                      PF: Ersan Ilyasova 18.5ppg, 5.2rpg, 0.9apg, 0.9spg
                      C: Samuel Dalembert 12.6ppg, 7.1rpg

                      6th: Doron Lamb 7.6ppg, 0.9rpg, 0.6apg, 55.6% 3P%, 35-63 3PFG

Bench: Michael Redd(FA signing, has played in 2 gms so far) 7ppg
                      Bench: Mbah a Moute, 5.7ppg, 3.5rpg
Bench: M.Dunleavy 5.3ppg, 2.0rpg(only played in 4 gms due to injuries)
                      Bench: Norris Cole 4ppg, 3apg, 1.1spg
                      Bench: J.Henson 3.9ppg, 1.5rpg(limited minutes)
                      Bench: E.Udoh 1.9ppg, 1.4rpg(limited minutes)

The bulk of my scoring comes from my starters. I am really hoping that Doron Lamb continues to grow and becomes a volume scorer at the 6th man position. I have been having a lot of success lately with him and Norris Cole in the back court so the season stats are not the true story of how great some of the guys are playing on the bench right now.

Here are the standings in my division right now

                      Bucks 16-4 ---
                      Bulls 16-5 0.5 GB
                      Pacers 13-10 4.5 GB
                      Pistons 11-14 7.5 GB
                      Cavs 7-16 10.5 GB

So far I am 3-1 in division play, with the only loss coming in OT against the Bulls. I did need a game winner in the Pacer game and in another OT game against the Bulls to pull those wins out so this is a very competitive division. I play the Cavs in my next game and the Pacers 4 days later so I have a great chance to get some seperation from the division

Some key injuries that I have are listed below

                      Samuel Dalembert(OUT) Sore Knee
                      Mike Dunleavy (HURT) Bruised Thigh
                      Reggie Evans (HURT) Sore Knee

Dalembert's injury has really hurt me on the glass. He is a rebounding machine and Henson and Udoh have not stepped up much in his absense. I have started Henson in every game Dalembert has been out but I end up subbing Henson and Udoh out and inserting Reggie Evans in due to toughness and strength on the glass. Needless to say, I am ready to have Dalembert back because Evans is an offensive liability.

The All-star voting is now a little more realistic with Brandon Jennings being #2 overall in the East. Considering all of the stars that he is over, I am happy even if he is not #1.

Hey to sign Ellis to a contract it delta like I had to dig in the menu's a bit and I am sure if u do what I did you would be able to sign him. Go to general manager, then finances, then player contracts, scroll till u find Monta then hit "A" and a menu pops up and you can click sign, I got him for 4 years 55 million and a player option and his interest was high so he took it, I wonder how low I could have got him for. The first game after I signed him he scored 31 points in the 1st half, but then cooled to off and ended with 35 and after the game he had a sore knee injured but can play for 1-2 weeks. You should try this and let me know if it works.

Good that Jennings is finally getting credit. Sounds like he could win MVP. U score just as many points with Monta as I do but he is your 2nd scorer lol and he is my leading scorer.I am getting mad with Jackson, I shoot horribly with him and he is not happy as the 6th man. Going to look for a trade for a similar player like, Dudley, wes johnson, Corey brewer. How is he doing for you?

                          Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

So I've begun an Orlando Magic association and we are absolutely terrible in every facet of the game of basketball.

I made a couple trades to bolster the dreadfulness and future of the team. Here are what they are:

                          Magic Trade: Glen Davis
                          Hornets Trade: Robin Lopez

                          Magic Trade: Aaron Afflalo
                          Raptors Trade: Landry Fields

Magic Trade: Jameer Nelson, Ishmael Smith
Bucks Trade: Beno Udrih, Doron Lamb

                          I also waived:
                          Hedo Turkoglu
                          Gustavo Ayon
                          Josh McRoberts

                          Signed:
                          Chris Douglas-Roberts

                          My starting five (Stats Included):

PG: Beno Udrih (11.9 Points, 3.4 Rebs, 7.6 assists, 1.7 steals)
SG: JJ Redick (16.7 points, 3.4 Rebs, 4.4 assists)
SF: Landry Fields (8.6 points, 6.1 Rebs, 2 assists, 1.2 steals
PF: Al Harrington (14.5 points, 6.8 rebounds)
                          C: Before Injury - Nikolai Vucevic (14.1 points, 6 Rebs, .8 blocks)
After Injury - Robin Lopez (8.5 points, 6.2 Rebs, 1.4 blocks)

We sit at 9-22 on the season so far, which has us TIED for third worst in the game with The Bobcats and The Warriors. Only the Hornets and Cavaliers have worse records right now. For a Draft Class, I'm using Franchiseplay Sports Official.

I'm very torn as to what I'll do come draft day. I want to get a good young Point Guard, but Brandon Jennings appears to be leaving the Bucks, so maybe I can scoop him up? Andrew Nicholson and Maurice Harkless are my projects. I've played an association once that went a good few years in, and Harkless and Nicholson both became 17-18 points and 7-9 rebounds a game type of guys, so I may hold back on them.

At worst, I'll get either Zeller, 75ish overall, or Nerlens Noel, at 73 overall. I desperately need a 20 ppg scorer and some strong rebounding/defense. I didn't expect Fields to be so terrible either.

                              76ers Association..

Started 0-1 losing to the Nuggets. Decided to shake things up. I'm not really the best at using my Centers to their strengths. So I traded Bynum (86/25) , Nick Young (75/?) , and a 2nd to the Bucs for Monta Ellis (87/27) and Ersan Ilyasova (75/25)

                              Starting line up is now:

                              PG Holiday
                              SG Ellis
                              SF T.Young
                              PF Ilyasova
                              C Hawes

I wanted a pure shooter as my SG instead of an all around player *(turner). Gives me Turner off the bench, and a trade option.

and WTF is this headless crap!!
