Me personally, I dont like making a ton of trades cause it takes away from the experience for me. I also dont like trading players I know wouldnt be traded IRL, even if the game lets me do it.

Most of the trades I make are for bench players or for a certain role I need filled on the team. Even with all the recent superstar players moving around, theres only so much moving they can do. And theres are reason they are going to certain teams.

No superstar is coming to play for CHA, so I won't sign or even try to trade for one until we make some noise in the playoffs. Just trying to keep it real.

how is it controlling multiple teams? I'm ready to start and also thinking about using more than one team...can't decide My Celtics, home team Bobcats or Warriors for pretty much the same reason as you...which team or all 3? suggestions appreciated heh

          Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

Like many others on here, i'm going to be a doing a sort of "mock association" to pass the time until complete rosters are released. Eventually, i'll start an association with my beloved, new-look Atlanta Hawks. For now, i'll be using my brother's favorite team; the also revamped Phoenix Suns. As the roster already received a major overhaul in the offseason, I won't be making many moves if any at all. However, if changes are needed along the rotation or along the roster itself I will certainly do so. I'm playing an 82-game association on default Superstar mode, with 10-minute quarters (I use the sim-1 play-1 method).

          Lineup
PG: Goran Dragic (Star) To me, this guy has definite star potential. For anybody that saw his performance in Kyle Lowry's absence late last season, they should see where i'm coming from. He's back in Phoenix, and this is his team now.
SG: Jared Dudley (Starter) It was really tough to choose between him and Shannon Brown, but he seems like a real "glue guy" to me.
SF: Michael Beasley (Starter) This kid has all the talent in the world, maybe a change of scenery will help him better utilize that talent.
PF: Luis Scola (Starter) Aging, but he will still score rather consistantly.
C: Marcin Gortat (Starter) He's really becoming one of the best Centers in the league, let's see if he will continue to improve.
6: Shannon Brown (Sixth Man) Very electrifying, his streaky scoring ability may be better suited for the bench.
7: Wesley Johnson (Role Player) Comparable to Beasley; he has the potential he just needs to reach it.
8: Channing Frye (Role Player) Great shooting stroke off the bench.
9: Jermaine O'Neal (Bench Warmer) May not produce as well as he used to, but can be a great leader.
10: Sebastian Telfair (Bench Warmer) Seems to have finally found his niche.
11: Markieff Morris (Prospect) Similar game to Channing Frye, could breakout a bit this season.
12: Kendall Marshall (Prospect) A superbly-talented prospect who could see himself skyrocket up the depth chart rather quickly.

          Game Update #1 coming soon!

            Game Update #1

            Game #1 - V.S. Golden State [Played]
The Suns came in knowing that they were facing a team that could flat out score. However, the game was a back-and-forth affair throughout. Marcin Gortat putback a Goran Dragic miss with exactly 1 second left on the clock, and the Suns thought they had secured the 2-point victory. In the blink of an eye, sharpshooter Steph Curry took the inbounds pass and let a 3-pointer fly and...it was good! The Suns had lost a nailbiter, A 103-102 loss at home. Curry finished with 25 points and 10 assists, and also added a couple of steals. Jarrett Jack also added 21 off the bench, while Rookie Harrison Barnes added 14 points on 6-14 shooting. Both Andrew Bogut and David Lee recorded near double-doubles as well. For the Suns, it was Jared Dudley, with a surprising 23-point performance on 9-11 shooting. New acquistion Luis Scola impressed with 18 points and 9 rebounds and shot a perfect 8-8 from the field. Channing Frye added 16 points off the bench, with the majority of those coming in the second half. Goran Dragic had 11 points and an astounding 15 assists, but also compiled 6 turnovers. Both Wes Johnson and Michael Beasley were in double figures as well. Rookie Kendall Marshall impressed in limited time with 4 points and 6 assists, as he greatly outplayed Sebastian Telfair A true heartbreaker for the new-look Suns, but a promising performance as well.

            Game #2 V.S. Detroit [Simmed]
Another close, home loss for the Suns. Once again, they were dominated by opposing guards, as Rodney Stuckey had 20 while Brandon Knight added 17. Greg Monroe recorded a double-double, going 18 and 10. For the Suns, Jared Dudley returned to Earth as he only contributed 4 points. Gortat added 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Luis Scola added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Goran Dragic played very well, adding 23 points and 7 assists, while only turning the ball over twice. A decent game by the Suns, but they are still searching for their first victory.

Update #2 should come later today!

                Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

Like I predicted, this road trip is going to be tough. Pacers with 7-1 record went to MIlwaukee and got annoyingly eaten alive by the Buck's front court. I wanted to throw the controller at the screen when Ellis dropped 41 on me. George played good defense on him but he was hitting absolutely everything, granted he did take a lot of shots. Jennings was more efficient though and scored 31 while perfect from 3 pt. range. They were up by 15 at half and I narrowed it down to within 4 in the fourth quarter but Ellis and Jennings proved to be too much and they ended up putting me away with an Ellis 3 and I never recovered.

The positives in this game was the continually strong play of my bench with Gerald Green scoring 19. He is becoming a force and he only gets about 15 minutes a game but he takes full advantage of it. George was leading scorer with 23 but had 7 turnovers which was a big factor to the loss. We committed 21 turnovers for the game and it killed us with how fast the bucks were. We have to minimize that for next game and I need to exploit the post with West and Hibbert more and not rely on the 3 so often... Road trip continues with Dallas next and a win there would be huge... Is Nowitzki pretty tough to defend in this game??

                      My 76ers:

                      C - Andrew Bynum (Star)
                      PF - Kenyon Martin
                      SF - Evan Turner
                      SG - Jason Richardson
                      PG - Jrue Holiday
                      Thaddeus Young (6th man)
                      Nick Young (Role Player)
                      Sundiata Gaines (Role Player)
                      Robin Lopez (Prospect)
                      Lavoy Allen (Prospect)
                      Kwame Brown (Bench Warmer)
                      Royal Ivey (Bench Warmer)

Traded Dorrell Wright and Spencer Hawes away for Lopez because of the log jam at SF/SG and enough perimeter firepower with Nick Young and Jason Richardson alternating. Robin Lopez is a terrific back-up for Bynum due to his size, Bruiser skill, and defensive ratings. Hornets get an additional scorer on the perimeter to compliment Gordon, and a "decent" center so Anthony Davis can play PF due to his lankiness. Kenyon Martin makes up for the defensive liability I would've had with Hawes or Thaddeus Young at the 4 and has some more offensive upside than Allen. Gaines was just a fill-in because there was no way I was going to use Royal Ivey on the second-unit. I tend to use Turner as the ballhandler anyway when Holiday is on the bench.

The team is remarkable "middle-of-the-bunch" teams if I set the defense to Lockdown Post. I avoid 2-3 zones because Bynum is too slow.

Alright, i'm sick and tired of getting abused in the paint and on the boards in my Raps association. Bargnani isn't a true center, and Ed Davis is playing SOFT.

I need a true center, a defensive minded one preferably. Any suggestions on who to try and get.

Started association with Magic with latest official rosters (just fooling around until slimm44 puts his roster up with some decent draft class)...
Want to trade for Dexter Pitman because I love how big he is + has Bruiser and Brick wall sig skills. What about...
Christian Eyenga + Quentin Richardson for Pitman + James Jones? And then I'll load of my big men for some semi decent big contract perimeter player because I think that Magic GM sucks.

Is Greg Oden still available in FA? His stamina and durability are low but he is great at rebounding.
