I'm doing a Celtics association but some of my players aren't satisfied with their minutes.

I allocated the minutes myself, I decreased the minutes of my starting 5 and gave these to Lee/Green/Wilcox/Sullinger/...

But the thing is, even though I gave Wilcox 14 minutes I always let him play more during the game (20-25 minutes). So is he being unhappy because I gave him 14 minutes??? He should be watching at the actual minutes I'm giving him, wish 2K did something to their logic.



These 3 players also want a different role which I can't give. I got Terry as my 6th man, Lee/Green/Wilcox are role players and all of them want an upgrade.



How is this being realistic? I'm letting everyone play at least 20 mins, I cut everything up 50/50 yet they are still whining. This isn't happening IRL so why does it have to happen in an online association?

Them wanting a different role may be why they're still upset. Sometimes they just want to leave. I did everything I could to please Sessions, I started Kemba over Sessions (Sessions had the better rating at the time) and no matter what I did he still was "unhappy". So sometimes they just want to leave and that does happen from time to time IRL.

Green and Wilcox committed to returning to the Celtics because they got so much support from the players/team/management because of their heart problems. Of course it's difficult (is it, loyalty factor) for 2K to implement such a thing.


And Lee should have know that he's switching between him and Bradley (and Terry).

I'm just going to allocate them 20 minutes and more and see if their attitude changes. I really hope they do because they are all so much fun to play with.

Lee especially, I go 25 points PPG with him without trying.

Well I needed Granger and Hibbert to rebound after a tough 1-3 road stretch and boy did they. A home verse hornets Granger opened up with a 17 point first half. 3-3 from behind the arc and he was getting to the line. Hibbert snapped out of his funk and was a force down low again. Had 9 boards with 5 being offensive and had 19 pts and 2 blks. He took the award for player of the game but I would have to give to it Granger who really just outplayed the hornets in every way. The rest of my team was solid. George another great performance with 17 pts and 11 boards and West added 14.

My bench finally went back to being alright but it didn't matter, when my starting 5 are playing up to 75% of their potential they are near unstoppable, and this game everyone was at top of game. I won by biggest margin this season, 23. It felt great after that frustrating road trip. However, I need to keep it up cause I have revenge match vs spurs at home who beat me earlier in the year. It was close and if I can play like this game I can take them down. Hibbbert needs to own the paint and granger needs to stay hot with George being a force on both ends. 9-4 on the season.

If you really want a challege, run with ORL or CHA and keep your GM moves realistic. Play on Allstar or better.

So I started an association with Phoenix using that "use the current date" option. But it looks like in stead of pre-season it's already counting my first game (a blow-out loss to OKC) towards the regular season. Is this a bug and will my season now consist of about 85 games or will the standings just reset after October 30th?

Maaan, season keeps getting better (in terms of fun)

I lost a heartbreaker last night to the Raps.

Before the game the Spurs offered me K.Leonard and Boris Diaw for MKG and K.Williams (bench warmer... I was like really?! "C'MON SON!"

Leonard aint that bad, but I dont want that bum he's the exact same player type as MKG, but "bum juice"! And Diaw?! Im not even gonna waste time explaining.

So we play the Raps, we were on fire in the 1st half! My bench was giving them Raps the business (my bench is great they avg about 40ppg). C.Frye was 4/4 from 3 in the first half! We couldnt miss. Even MKG hit a couple 3s. By half time we were up 54-42, cruising! 3rd qtr we fell in love with the 3 a little too much and were clankin'm, so I figured I'd let the big men eat (KMart, Mullens, T.Thomas). Next thing you know Bargnani SNAPS! He goes off for 22..in the 3rd! DID YOU HEAR ME, 22..IN THE 3RD! We doubled him, shaded him, zoned him, and none of it mattered! They were running a pick and roll with him as the ball handler and I couldnt stop it. go under the pick.. 3, switch on the pick.. 3 over the smaller defender. Or he would just take Kmart to the cup and hit some ol' space jam lay-up!

Disclaimer: I dont blame me letting a team come back on "rubberband AI" thats corny! I didnt D Bargnani up like I was supposed to, point blank!

So back to the game, 4th qtr starts we're up by 4 (at one point in the 2nd qtr we were up by 16). Bargnani cooled off a little bit, but now Lowry wanted to get some but that was cool cause the "Mini-Mamba" Kemba was in full lethal effect. Lowry and Kemba went at all 4th qtr. 1:13 to go we're up 2, Lowry hits the 3 in Kemba's face (it was so disrespectful). Kemba tries to return the favor, no good. Lowry comes down the court ANOTHER 3 in Kembas face! (EXTRA Disrespectful) Raps up 4 now with 42sec left. I slow it down set the pick and roll with KMart, Kemba hits him for the ally-oop. Were down 2 with 33sec to go. We trap Lowry at half court MKG steals the ball and goes in the easy dunk..CLANK!!..MKG misses the dunk! (I wanna trade him so bad!), at this point we have to foul. Lowry only makes 1 of 2 FT. 14sec to go..Were down 3, we give the rock to Kemba. Kmart Sets the pick, KEMBA for the 3..ITS GOOD! Tied up with 2.2secs left. They inbound to Bargnani, and and Henderson gets the block! (Yup Henderson). So we go to overtime.

Its Kemba and Henderson, vs Lowry and Dorozen (yes, this ugly bumpkin decided to step it up). Long story short, we were down 3 with no timeouts with 3.1 on the clock. We inbounded the ball Kemba had a real nice look but it rimmed out. I was sick but I couldnt be mad, it was the most fun game Ive played so far.

We're 11-3 now, still 1 in the east. We have a '04 Pistons feel to the team. No real superstars but we're getting it done (I wish our D was like the '04 Pistons!).

I really wanna get rid of MKG, his game does not fit my style. CHA wouldnt trade him, so I wont.

Yea BOS is garbage on my Association too! Along with the Nets.

In my Rockets association we are 7-6 so far. It's been a up and down season so far.

I made two trades so far. The first trade I made was I traded Carlos Delfino to Phoenix for their '13 2nd round pick. Reason for this trade is cause Carlos wasn't happy with his playing time and role.
Next trade I made was, I sent my '14 1st round pick and Omer Asik to Charlotte for Tyrus Thomas. The reason for this trade is cause Omer wasn't doing anything for me and Tyrus wasn't happy in Charlotte. With Tyrus he will give me rebounds and block shots.

Kevin Martin is leading the team in scoring with 26 Ppg.
Patrick Patterson is leading the team in rebounds with 7.2 rpg
Jeremy Lin is leading the team in assist and steals with 10.8 apg and 2.5 spg.

I am happy with the way my team is playing so far. As of now I am not making any more moves unless it's something major and I really need it. My goal this season is to make the playoffs. I don't expect this team to make a deep run in the Playoffs.

With the trades that I have made this is what my roster looks like now:
PG Jeremy Lin, Toney Douglas
SG Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb(6th man)
SF Chandler Parsons, Gary Forbes
PF Patrick Patterson, JaJuan Johnson, Royce White, Terrence Jones, Jon Brockman

Trade him, no way im eating that cost. To be fair, him/your 1st for another teams 1st, say Houston or New Orleans?

That 7fter isnt needed, you have J.Smith who is a great low post defender & crazy athletic. He's close to 7ft as well. D.Jordan wouldnt add anything, Horford can defend & has a better than decent offensive game.

Right now your set up is fine, I would like to know how you got Gallo & JR because neither one would have been let go for scraps (you kept all your major pieces).

But otherwise Id say you have exactly what youre looking for now IMO

Traded Devin Harris strait up for Gallinari, he is like 3rd string on the Nuggets behind Andre Igguodola and Wilson Chandler. And I traded DeShuan Stevenson, Anthony Morrow, and I think a 1st round pick for J.R. and Novak.

I think you better keep him. Definitely don't release him.
