    Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

I got 2 games in last night, both resulting in loss to the 76ers and Bulls. 0-2 since Mbah a Moute injury, should get a win next game against the Rockets. I am 6-4 now, 7th in the East.

Help! My friends and I are in the off season and it was paused before we advanced to the off season. Once we advanced to the off season, the league advancement went to 30 days and we can't take pause off!! The commissioner tools are now greyed out so we can't do anything. How do we switch the speed back to fast??? HELP PLEASE!!

Started off wondering how well the team would respond to losing Ellis for this game(Sore Hamstring). John Wall came out on fire, scoring 12 quick points and dishing a few assists in the first quarter. He then began dishing it and never scored again until late in the third where he began to take over the whole game with his speed. Ended up pulling away in the end in a game that was never really in doubt. Kept about a 12-15 point lead the whole game. Won 94-74.

Glad I scored more than I did with Monta in the lineup. Makes me more comfortable knowing I have offense without him. Problem is, after the game, John Wall is now injured and out 1-2 weeks with a broken nose...He can't play through that? I want a mask like Rip wears. Monta is back though, I feel a big game out of him. Nene is a beast down low, he isn't going anywhere.

        Wizards Stats:

        Nene: 27 Points, 11 Rebounds, 1 Steal, 1 Turnover
John Wall: 27 Points, 5 Rebounds, 19 Assists, 5 Turnovers
Bradley Beal: 18 Points, 2 Rebounds, 1 Assist
        Trevor Ariza: 15 Points, 6 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 Steal, 1 Turnover
        Kenyon Martin: 7 Points, 8 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 Steal, 1 Block, 1 Turnover.

        Pistons Stats:

        Rodney Stuckey: 16 Points, 4 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 1 Block, 1 Turnover
Corey Maggette: 15 Points, 1 Rebounds, 3 Steals
        Brandon Knight: 12 Points, 7 Rebounds, 6 Assists, 1 Steal, 1 Turnover
Tayshaun Prince: 10 Points, 2 Rebounds, 1 Block, 1 Turnover
Kim English: 6 Points, 1 Steal
        Greg Monroe: 6 Points, 2 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 2 Steals, 1 Turnover

        • The Wizards interior D with Nene and Martin are causing problems for the all star big men for the last two teams. Only allowing a total of 10 points combined for both Hibbert and Monroe.
        • Not allowing many rebounds either. Only 5 total between the two. I like it.

Next game is against the Cavs. Probably the biggest test without Wall running the offense. I'm glad it's Cleveland, which is someone I can handle with Monta running point.

        Injuries:

John Wall: Broken nose, 1-2 weeks
        Martell Webster: Bruised thigh, Day-To-Day
        Samuel Dalembert: Sprained Finger, Day-To-Day
        • My team full of a bunch of pansies
        • Big news on the injury front. Emeka Okafor who was involved in the trade for Monta is down for 6-8 weeks with a broken foot. Dodged a bullet there.
Nice Deal for Ellis...Nice stats too man ill be following your updates for sure. Looks like your team hit the injury bug ...sucks but you will be able to find out how your team plays w/o some stars ...what is your Injury slider ? Good luck man looking forward to updates

          Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

I came to a crossroads trying to choose between Washington and Minnesota and what do you know I went straight when I chose toronto. And I must say I did t realize how horrible these guys had been rated, but I am riding with these guys using 2k roster.

          PG
Kyle Lowry - underrated, nice passer and can score
Jose Calderon -also underrated, passer can score when needed
John Lucas III - I wasn't too fond of him until played with him really good player

          SG
Demar Derozan - mr highlight reel, needs to develop a more consistent jumpshot tho
Terrence Ross - people see him and Derozan being cut from the same cloth but I don't think so this guy is a monster from the outside. Still capable of bringing the house down

          SF
Landry fields - solid defender with a nice touch from outside. Not asked to bring much offense
Linas kleiza - IMO a good all around player if you know how to use him. Very solid off the bench

          PF
Andrea bargnani - OFFENSIVE MISMATCH aka "dirk jr" IMO, this guy can light it up from all over the floor
Ed Davis - athletic and a solid rebounder, wanna develop him a midrange shot
Quincy Acy - Athletic and good rebounder, one of my favorite players coming from Baylor

          C
Jonas Valanciunas - "the big man of the future" toronto never had a solid big man in my eyes, 2k underrated him along with Drummond but this guy still runs the floor and is great on the pick and roll
Amir Johnson - solid rebounder/defender and pick nd roll specialist
          Aaron gray - solid defender

Coach Casey is really preaching defense trying to build off last year. As long as everyone buys in then this season will be a success

1st game against Indiana @ toronto
The fans packed the air Canada centre for the season opener nd I must say they did not leave disappointed as both teams put on a show. We started te game off shooting the ball well with Derozan leading the offensive attack with 12 in the first qtr. we played pretty good defense I would say until "Mr X factor" Gerald Green entered the game. This guy would not miss in the first half. UGH but Kyle Lowry kept the team poised and we handled the pressure. The bench played good minutes and we lead the entire game with a lot of ties throughout. Danny granger seemed frustrated throughout the game thanks to Landry fields and his defense and Roy hibbert never really got it going for the pacers. A good win for our home fans to get them even more pumped up for this season

One of the slider sets I used pushed it to 75 so I went with it. It gives a bigger challenge, but sucks when someone like Wall and Ellis go down in the first few games. Injury severity is still 50, so I don't get lengthy injuries.

Yeah, thats how mine is. My injuries have come from the simulation, but I pretend they happened in the earlier game. I may turn the injury frequency down when I'm simming to counteract that, then turn it back up during the games.

yea makes sense...last season had 2 injuries...rondo and pierce both missed 3 games (out of 14) so it was pretty realistic ...didnt have my whole team out but did get some injuries

                      Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

ok so i started a nuggets association cause thats my fav team
                      9 mins ... superstar sim ... 82 games
i think ill give small summary of every game....

the first game was against philly.... i was getting pissed tho because every single offense rebound was their i think they ended the game with 17 offense boards to our 6.. this team has pieces all over the place.. i knew the game was over in late 4th quarter when jrue holiday ripped the ball from ty lawson and from than on everything went their way and there was no reason to fight back .. we lost this game because of rebounds.. all the starters had 5 or more rebounds.. while the only person past 5 rebounds was kenneth faried who finished with 10 oh and gallo also pissed me off as well going 3 for 11 and missed alot of open shots going 1 - 6 from 3. on another note before the game i have jordan hamilton the least amount of minutes on the team... but let me tell you something ... if your ever in need of a good role player.. JORDAN HAMILTON IS THAT GUY... i had to give him extra minutes because this guy played so perfect... he went 6 for 6 in 10 minutes... his jumper is so easy that his 3s and mid range is on point.. dont let his low rating fool ya...
anyway jrue holiday was player of the game with 19 points 5 rebounds and 13 assists (career high)... the ending score was 99 - 113.

anyway the second game was against orlando...
the score was 130 - 106... jameer nelson was the only one really scoring for them with 25.. this team struggled to get rebounds.. and everyone seemed easy to stop... ty lawson finished 23 points 7 boards and 16 assists... gallo stepped his game up finishing with 22 points and 8 boards an

after the game iggy announced that hes testing free agency... kinda disappointed because he didnt even give us a chance.. should i take the risk of losing him or trade him at the deadline ??

                        Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

game 3 is against the heat... i saw lebron started at the 4 so for this game i had to bench kenneth faried ... and start wilson chandler at the 4 so i could match up.. this was a good game ... i thought we were going to lose.. lebron had 20 1st half.. this guy was unstoppable.. nobody could stop him from corey brewer to iggy to wilson to gallo.. but i found the teams weakness .. it was javale mcgree (player of the game) .. he finished with 22 points and 11 boards.. 11 for 12 .. this team is too soft in the paint.. bosh was not a factor in this game at all finishing with just 4 points ..
but i seriously thought lebron was gonna beat us by himself... d wade hurt alot as well... everytime we were up 2 he seemed to always find a way to tie the game... he was kinda annoying... every time we turned the ball over.. he couldnt be stopped on fast breaks and he also grabbed alot of boards .. but the crazy thing is... in the 4th quarter d wade changed... he started missing open shots, missed 2 free throws in a row.. and got blocked by anthony randolph ... idk why lebron didnt take most the shots in the 4th because he only missed 5 shots the whole game but i guess d wade told lebron that this was his team ... the heat played great d tho... ty lawson had 7 turnovers and i couldnt score with him like i wanted to..
Nuggets 111 - Heat 109 .. good game.. they would have won if lebron had the ball in the 4th more and bosh actually showed up... the crazy thing is.. he missed alot of open shots going 2 -9

lebron had 35 points 5 rebounds 5 assists and 3 steals going 15 - 20.. there is no way of stopping him... i put everyone on him and even doubled him alot of plays but nothing was working..

also iggy played great out there... finished with 15pts 6rebs and 11ats... he fits this team perfect .. he was a big reason why we won as well ...

anyway heres the top stats of the game..
                        heat
                        lebron james 35 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists 15 - 20
                        d wade 26pts 6 rebs and 10 asts 11 -21
                        norris cole 10 points

                        denver

                        javale mcgee 22 pts 11 reb 11 -12
                        iggy 15 pts 6 rebounds 10 ast
ty lawson 13 points 5 boards 7 turnovers..

Game 2 vs. New York Knicks:
What a sloppy game. It was close right down to the wire but Boston pulled off the 79-74 win vs. New York and starts the season 2-0. Kevin Martin was the player of the game scoring 17pts. Rajon Rondo had a disappointing game with only 7 assists and 5 turnovers but scored 14pts. Sullinger finally woke up and scored 6 pts off the bench and played good D in the win. Anthony was a beast for New York. He was knocking down every shot and when I started to buy the pump fake he was getting And1 Dunks . Here are some stats:

                          Martin - 17pts 5ast 3reb 1stl
                          Rondo - 14pts 7ast 3reb 1stl 5TO
                          Green - 12pts 3reb 2ast 3stl
                          Bogut - 10pts 7reb
                          Landry - 10pts 3reb 4ast 1blk
                          Sullinger - 6pts
                          Forbes - 4pts 1reb 2blk

                          Anthony - 25pts 4reb 3ast 2stl 1blk
                          Shumpert - 11pts 7ast
                          Kaman - 10pts 2reb
                          Chalmers - 10pts 2ast 1stl

                          - Next game is against Orlando, where the Magic are 0-2 and only picked up Nick Young and Jujuan Johnson in the offseason. The Celtics are looking to come out with an easy win, but the Magic could give them a surprise if they take things for granted.

What a sloppy game. It was close right down to the wire but Boston pulled off the 79-74 win vs. New York and starts the season 2-0. Kevin Martin was the player of the game scoring 17pts. Rajon Rondo had a disappointing game with only 7 assists and 5 turnovers but scored 14pts. Sullinger finally woke up and scored 6 pts off the bench and played good D in the win. Anthony was a beast for New York. He was knocking down every shot and when I started to buy the pump fake he was getting And1 Dunks . Here are some stats:

                            Martin - 17pts 5ast 3reb 1stl
                            Rondo - 14pts 7ast 3reb 1stl 5TO
                            Green - 12pts 3reb 2ast 3stl
                            Bogut - 10pts 7reb
                            Landry - 10pts 3reb 4ast 1blk
                            Sullinger - 6pts
                            Forbes - 4pts 1reb 2blk

                            Anthony - 25pts 4reb 3ast 2stl 1blk
                            Shumpert - 11pts 7ast
                            Kaman - 10pts 2reb
                            Chalmers - 10pts 2ast 1stl

                            - Next game is against Orlando, where the Magic are 0-2 and only picked up Nick Young and Jujuan Johnson in the offseason. The Celtics are looking to come out with an easy win, but the Magic could give them a surprise if they take things for granted.
Good game, at least you were able to pull out a win vs the Knicks. I can never seem to beat them when they come up on the Schedule.

Good luck against the Magic, if you play them tight on the perimeter you should keep the score in about the 12-15 point range.

After the Game against the Knicks Boston Re-Signed C Andrew Bogut to a 2yr+player option deal for 16.89M. Bogut will make 8.63M in 2014-15, 9M in 2015-16 and 9.38M in 2016-17 if he decides to accept his player option. Bogut is making 14 M this season and expressed his joy to re-sign with Boston and they got it done, locking up who they think is the Center of the franchise. GM Danny Ainge expressed his excitement to lock up Bogut for 2+ years and when asked about the injury risk, he reminded us that they still have Melo and Sullinger who are capable to step in the starting C role if an injury did occur. Bogut is averaging 10.5pts 5reb 1stl in 2 games for Boston, and said he was happy to concentrate on helping Boston beat Miami and win a title by solving the teams C problems for the future. NOTE: Jordan Hill wont be scoring 22/8 on me this Playoffs

Thanks...Yea I know what you mean, they beat me last year in our only meeting so I am proud of this win despite being very sloppy w/ the ball.

PS: I love Jeff Green as a starting SF. Hes scoring nicely for me and putting up great offensive Numbers for me (3 stls, 2blks in 2 games) due to his height advantage against most SF's
