I don't blame 2k for giving an option to buy VC points I blame the people actually buying it

Re: Virtual Currency frustration
Seems to me that 2K is going along with the EA Madden mindset: "LOL! No competition AT ALL for three years running?! LMAO! Let's do the Madden thing in a similar way they do Ultimate Team, but make this thing called Virtual Currency. Yo, dawg, you know how our consumers love player accessories? Let's add different 'thangs' in Virtual Currency and give them an option to spend their hard earned money on silly things like shoe strings, wrinkles on player headbands, ripples on their wristbands and long shorts that are tight in the behind with the possibility of seeing a player's butt crack. That be nice, yo. Our customers will be handing us money for those monster features, mane!"
Oh lawd. I'm glad I've maintained the willpower to hold out so far this year (trust me, it won't last and I'll end up getting it at $35-$40) Yes, I realize that I'm going to get flamed and welcome all the e-shotguns that are about to be verbally pumped. I miss the days when there were 3-4 football games, and 3-4 basketball games (2K, Live, Sony's game (Shootout?) and Microsoft's game -- NBA Inside Drive). Selection and choices.
What gets me is that I see a lot of 90+ overalls on the blacktop and I almost know for sure they didn't "earn" it. I am almost HoF Status already and my guy is only a 72 overall. I've played the game a lot. And I just find it hard to believe people have played more than me and actually earned their currency. Granted I did spend a few for MyTeam, but it wasn't that much.Comment

Re: Virtual Currency frustration
All I want is an official manifesto on what amount of VC is meant to be rewarded for each game mode.
Last night I was playing 1-on-1 Blacktop.
Game 1 - 160 VC
Game 2 - No VC
Game 3 - 160 VC
Game 4 - 10 VC
How does this make any sense at all? And even though I'm always connected to the server I haven't gotten any VC out of Association whatsoever, which makes me not even want to play that mode. With the same difficulty and rules, Quick Match gives me VC but Association doesn't? I feel like I would be better off boosting in coach mode, then actually playing the game. That's sad.
Please, some clarification.Comment

Re: Virtual Currency frustration
If you have things to do during your days, just set up a 'Quick Game' for 12-minute quarters, then turn on 'Coach Mode' and then you can just let it run, but just make sure you press a button every 10 minutes or something, or else the controller will sleep. Takes about an hour, but you're not even playing, and It's free VC.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

Re: Virtual Currency frustration
A guy posted this on Smoove's video:
easiest way is to play the rookie showcase and do work, save and quit with like 5 seconds left. go back in, it saves your VC right before the interviews so just dashboard at the first interview. boot up the game again and you will see you got around 400 VC. keep doing it over and over. I got to 20,000+ in about an hour and a half.Comment

Re: Virtual Currency frustration
Make a new MyCAREER, it won't overwrite your current save or anything, but just make a guy who you think can earn you the most VC. Like maybe a 3pt specialist point guard.
I won't do this though. I can't force myself to do things just for VC.Last edited by Dan Podolski; 10-07-2012, 03:46 PM.Comment
