After playing a bunch of games, I realized 8 minute quarters yield the most realistic results because the pace of the game results in about 80-90 FGA's for each team, which is the same as games in real life.
12 minute quarters produce very high scores. Sure, you're scoring 120 points, but is it impressive when it takes you 110 field goal attempts to reach it?Comment

I score around 80-110ish depending on who I play against and my strategy.. I play on superstar with custom slidersComment

I meant to say I play 8 minute quarters, and my sliders are basically a mix between sim and default.. I take the things I like from each of them and what seems to be the most realistic to meComment

What's the main difference between Simulation and Default? I looked at the sliders for Simulation and I noticed only a few things were tweaked such as 3 Point success, close and inside shot success, and others.Comment

8 min is perfect for me. Takes about 45 min. 12 is too long in the video game world.Comment

Online Quick Match has a pretty fast pace, and even then with 5 minute quarters most scores are in the 60s or 70s. If they were 8 minute quarters, those games would be in the 90s and 100s, and that's with shooting a high percentage and playing with a fast pace. So 8 mins is most realistic.Comment

How are your sliders with 8 minute quarters? I have 3 point difficulty at 42 and mid range at 48. Changed some other things but I can't remember.Comment

If I play solo I usually do 12 minutes. If I am playing with friends over LIVE we usually do 5.
I play on Sim sliders and All Star difficulty and scoring is fine.Comment
