Re: CPU Offense question
Yep run plays is backwards.
Putting every team to 0 makes the cpu offensive gameplay like night and day.
Basically this issue is NON issue anymore.
It wasnt a bug. It isnt hardcoded etc...
Great find slimm.
2K13 and its backwards sliders...pfft...Comment

Re: CPU Offense question
man, wtf... this is not working for me. my team does not get back on D - they just jog the hell back and it's a dunk almost every time on a missed shot by me. not to mention the cpu gets that boost when they run the floor it's more scripted that a movie i've had it with this pos game.Last edited by lostsoul; 10-14-2012, 12:41 AM.Comment

Re: CPU Offense question
Here is a thought on how they implemented the Call Plays tendency:
Maybe it's our assumption of how it is supposed to work that is wrong. We think (or thought) that the higher it is set, the more often the CPU will call plays. Maybe the higher it is set, the longer the CPU takes to run plays. If so, it would make sense as to why we're seeing what we're seeing.
Even if that is the case, 2k, please give us detailed explanations of how ratings/tendencies/sliders work next year to avoid any confusion.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

Re: CPU Offense question
No slimm.
2K screwed up and the slider is backwards.
It says in the description of the "run plays" slider.
"how often the team will run plays".
Thanks to you, We now know that at 0. the teams run plays far more often than at 100. In a broken play or after a Dreb, the cpu doesnt run a play at all most the time. Neither does the play starter icon come up if your controlling a team, gathered a dreb and walked up court with run plays at 100. With run plays at 0. It does straight away.
Its clearly a 2k mess up.
The game plays brilliantly now [for the most part] that we have discovered this.
All that really needs improving now is interior D. shot blocking is too underpowered in the paint. Shot blockers have no presence.
and the cpu's off reb abilities. But we dont want the latter tweaked too much or it could go too far the other way and orebs will be too hard to get.Last edited by nogster; 10-14-2012, 08:19 AM.Comment

Re: CPU Offense question
just thought i'd bump this for information's sake. this DOES work for me also... i've also noticed that if you make it a point to hustle your defender back to the other end and protect BEHIND the three point line (which makes sense), the cpu pulls back and runs a play.Comment

Re: CPU Offense question
posted this in another thread.
This only seems to work when i play 2 players and set the other controller to coach mode, can really notice the difference. But when i play a game straight up against the cpu i don't notice anything different.
But the fact that it is possible to tone down the def reb/FB problem means it should be possible for it to be patched/tuned.Comment

Re: CPU Offense question
glad u guys found a fix for it. personally i never had to touch none of the coach player sliders. once i lowered the cpu player speed and quickness, the game has played like a dream ever since. they call plays on the regular and still get fastbreak opportunities."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
yea but will they take psn cards

Re: CPU Offense question
I posted this in a different thread after reading this one prompted me to start testing to see what was going on. There is actually a really easy fix that genuinely works:
I haven't personally tested this on anything other than pro, but people have told me they've tried it on the 3 higher difficulty levels and it works on them, also.Comment
