I use a few teams so far.... knicks and clipps, but will pick OKC when opponents pick heat or lak. I practiced alot with the demo and caught on pretty quick with the new control, so i guess my online success so far is do to a slight advantage of being a bit more familiar with the controls. The demo did play a bit different but with only 1 quarter, we could never really see an outcome of how a complete game flows.
I am also doing well cause of these issues mention. I am not one to cheese, but when opponents try to i will counter with the same cheese. So my 40-4 records, i believe has less to do with real actual skill at the moment since its only been less than a week of playing this game, and more to do with those issues which make scoring way too easy. I would say 90% of my games, both my opponent and I hit an obscene amount of 3's, with or withpout defense. My comp AI grabs tons of off rebounds giving me multitudes of second chance points, I throw countless long passes and usually connectd leading to easy dunks, and I can score almost at will in the paint, even with guys like chandler, perkins, deandre jordan. It's not taking much skill to do these things, so i know they are issues with the gameplay.
I am not one that determines how good online plays by counting wins or losses. I can care less to be 40-4, but i just mention that because many think its only guys that lose that complain because they can't sem to figure out how to play. But i play strictly online only, so i am very critical about how the game plays. The cheeses from last year, like hopstep, spin dunk, standing and manual alleys, have all been addressed. I bet most of you didnt even know jabb stepping with bigs then standing dunk was a legitimate cheese ( thats how much i play online, i know every single cheese ) LOL... 2k did fix all of those issues. But these new ones seem to give that same bad online experience as it did with 2k12' faults. I would hope 2k does actually read and address these issues, because if they are fixed, 2k13 will be very close to a perfect bball sim.
