i personally would like to see more done with legends. My best 2k13 moments have been playing as the historic teams like the Rockets and Magic. Id like to play a shorten season of just their key games that shaped and defined their seasons. Be kinda cool to unlock historic videos after each game and the utimate reward being unlocking those players for every mode (unlock through playing the mode or those that don't want to play have the option to buy through VC of course). I know its not everyone focus, but if done correctly, I think it'd appeal to a lot of people.

As czar said...todays stars are tomorrows legends

Its no question this game took a leap in sales once mj and the legends came aboard and i remember that same argument from some youngsters until Iverson wasnt in the game anymore and they whined about missing him...now look.

this adds more to the game than it takes away period.

Average Joe creating CAP legends is alot different than 2k doing it. Average Joe doesn't have to pay the legends to do this but 2k does..
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Given the permission already granted by so many current and past players that are on the game already, it would be nothing to throw together more recent classic teams was my point...not suggesting its the same cost...

personally i hope they re-haul the legends lineup... even if it means removing some teams.. there are some teams that i havent even touched in these last years and im sure thats the same with you guys too.. i say just put in teams from classic finals matchups or playoff matchups... bulls-jazz... cets-lakers... raptor-sixers.... blazers-sixers... etc.

I understand at some point we might have to give up some squads to earn some new ones, but I'd like to keep as many teams as possible. I think a few of the teams people tend to have little interest in are some of my favorite and most fascinating. For instance, the '85 Bucks are one of my go-to clubs, but I feel as though they'd be the first to go if 2K were to remove some. NBA Finals matchups are nice, but they only represent about 2% of the game's history. I like how 2K has provided non-elite teams as well due to their historic prominence ('93 Hornets, '91 Warriors).

I honestly hope they don't get rid of the legendary teams. Those teams give me some replay value, when I get bored of playing MyPlayer or Association. I'd like to see them do something with the legends. Maybe a tournament type of thing with all the legend teams in it, and the way you unlock the team are beating them in this tournament mode. Or a recreate a legend mode something similar to the My(Player)Career mode, where you start in the rookie showcase just like you would with your player on MyCareer. But some new/different legend teams would be nice, but not necessary.

I hope the let you add the classis players to draft classes. That would add life to the association. Even better if you could pick whole draft classes from different year and have the players start on a low rating.

                        This right here.

IF 2k14 doesn`t have legends, or if 2k14 has less legendary teams or players, there is not a single chance I`m gonna buy the game. I buy the game ONLY because of the legendary teams.
Today`s basketball isn`t half the fun of the classic squads.

Only? That's kind of surprising to me.

Or even if they filled out teams of their DLC lineup...English and Lever, Ellis, Sleepy Floyd, McAdoo, Elvin Hayes, etc. In my mind the teams don't have to be great as much as representing a historic player or unique style of play.

Well, gameplay and presentation is important too. If the game had poor gameplay and presentation, I wouldn`t buy it, even with the legends.
But what I want to say is that today`s players do not appeal to me. So, since 2k game has wonderful presentation, great gameplay and the players that appeal to me, the classic ones, I`m buying it.
