Hedo. Turkoglu. This guy drains every three in myCAREER, and hate it because I'm a PG so I can never guard him, except during defensive rotations. Whenever the shot clocks winding down, it doesn't matter if he's wide open or has a hand in his face, if they pass it to him, he ALWAYS drills it. It's like he's Steve Novak or something.

J.J. Hickson for Portland. He is a strait rebounding/offensive rebounding beast in this game, and he will dunk on you after he grabs a rebound.
Ronnie Brewer is another one, they got his dunking ability and tendency way to high.Comment

Only one person mentioned JR Smith, he's like a mini-LeBron except he DOES NOT miss from 3 pt. land and he dunks on just about everyoneComment

Monta Ellis, Jordan Crawford, Gerald Green -- these guys have never played like that in a game that mattered.Comment

Re: Players who are unrealistically good in 2k13. Who ya got?
Klay Thompson - I played like 8 games vs GSW and he always goes for 25-30, his 3pt shot is almost always good, unless i try and guard him.
Andrew Bogut - same as Klay Thompson, dude grabs every offensive rebound and it seems like there is no way of containing him.
Monta Ellis and JR Smith as mentioned (ingame beasts). Ellis always goes for 30+ when playing vs Bucks.
Austin Rivers, Luke Ridnour - when they shoot floaters it's always good, I hate that.
And one other thing I noticed is that Trey Thompkins has great all around game, can shoot 3pt, mid range, dunk, layup etc. When he is in-game just get the ball to him if he is open, he will make it.Comment

Re: Players who are unrealistically good in 2k13. Who ya got?
There's a reason those games were silent. There's a big difference between scoring 40 points (with half of them during garbage time) in a mid-season game between two bad teams, and in scoring 40 in a conference finals game.
Monta Ellis, Jordan Crawford, Gerald Green -- these guys have never played like that in a game that mattered.
Crawford is a chucker and that should be reflected in 2k.
Green is a nice player but he aint as good as 2k paints him out to be. Matter of fact based on the way he plays he's better than Granger and George on that Pacer roster.Comment

D Wade. You can't guard him. If he wants to go to the rim, he will and you can't stop himComment

Re: Players who are unrealistically good in 2k13. Who ya got?
This is what I am referring to. Guys like Crawford and Green do not consistently put up 20 plus point games with great shooting percentage while draining stuff with guys all over them.
Crawford is a chucker and that should be reflected in 2k.
Green is a nice player but he aint as good as 2k paints him out to be. Matter of fact based on the way he plays he's better than Granger and George on that Pacer roster.
If you look at Green's scoring ratings -- Inside, close, mid, 3-pt, layup, dunk, free throw -- he's a better all-around scorer than almost anyone in the game, legends included. He's rated in the 80s and 90s in all those areas.
A lot of his ancillary ratings are terrible, which accounts for his OVR being "only" 76, but according to Visual Concepts, he's one of the best scorers in the history of basketball, even though he's spent most of his career in the D-league.
I think they get a lot more right with the ratings than they get wrong, but sometimes they really pull a rock.
------
On the other hand, though, I do feel like they have an extremely hard job when it comes to this stuff. Because the difference between Gerald Green and Lebron James isn't really in what they can do physically -- it's 90 percent mental. Lebron James knows how to play basketball, Gerald Green really doesn't.
But if you're putting the control of the player in the hands of another person, how do you simulate that distinction? There's no easy answer.
-----
Also, I should chime in that some of these guys DO have weaknesses you can exploit that the true superstars do not -- especially turnovers. If you double team JR Smith or Gerald Green, they're more likely to throw the ball away than they are to successfully pass out, whereas when you double-team Lebron, you can usually chalk up an assist.Last edited by sreckless; 10-15-2012, 03:23 PM.Comment

Re: Players who are unrealistically good in 2k13. Who ya got?
Monta Ellis - He is good in real life, but in 2k13, he is the reincarnation of MJ. This guy is nasty from mid range, at least in mycareer. He literally will pull up from mid range with a hand in his face and make it almost everytime. One game he had 35 points and shot like 75% FG against my computer teammate (I play for the Spurs, so it was against Ginobili, who is no pushover).
Marcus Thornton - You can probably lump JRich, Nick Young, JR Smith, and this guy all in one category. Guys that will light it up from downtown if they get hot. At least in mycareer, your teammates will leave the three open sometimes just long enough to let these guys get hot, and then the 20-30 point game starts to develop, jump shot after jump shot.Comment
