Yea you're right nobody ever reaches in the NBA.......guess you'[ve never watched guys like Gary Payton play D, just because not everyone does it doesn't mean nobody does. You've never seen an on ball steal before?
I said it needed to be addressed but not every time you press the button

Yes I have and when "the Glove" stole the ball it was all about OPPORTUNITY not spam stealing till he got a desired result WITH NO CONSEQUENCE OF A FOUL. But what about the C.J Watson's and Cartier Martin's or Luke Babbitt"s? They shouldn't be stealing like they are the second coming of "The Glove".

Yea you're exactly right and here's a quote from my original post "You def shouldn't be able to spam the steal button but the fact that I have a 99 rating and get a foul called every time I press it once is dumb." Obviously I already said you shouldn't be able to spam the button so what are you arguing with me for grow up

The foul rate is way too high, 2k didn't bother finding middle ground, they tweaked it to one extreme end. If i was 2k I would just make it so the person reaching can't recover on defense giving the ball handler the ability to drive right pass.

The update pretty much made the pick pocket sig skill useless. Of course everyone is glad that you can't spam the steal online but going from one extreme end to the next is not the proper way to balance the game imo.

Exactly my thoughts, they needed to find a better middle ground so spamming resulted in a foul but you could still get on ball steals in the right situation

I hope you realize not everyone has access to sliders in offline modes. See: My Career and Create a Legend.

Go look in the roster/slider forums, there is a tool that allows mycareer fellas to do their sliders.

How often do you see a player getting stripped on the perimeter in an NBA game? Maybe 1-2 a game. And most of those come from either being blind sided or losing control of the ball as a result of overdribbling.

From last year but read about each player and you will see a common theme.. "Playing the passing lane" seems to come up a lil more then pick pocket.

Way too much.
I used pickpocket, tony Parker does some fancy dribble moves and I press steal, ONCE, and it's a reach in call.

I used active hands, ginobily comes in for a layup, I press steal to strip the ball. Instant reach in call.

Double teaming, get to the position to tap the ball away. Reach in foul.

Same as fast breaking, come from behind to steal, the easiest steal possible, reach in foul.

Fouls too easy
Some sig skills basically useless.

Offensive rebounding, was it even touched? My first couple of games seemed fine, last 3 games were terrible.
9 offensive rebounds in 1 possession the spurs got against me.
My teams AI is too low, they still don't box out or get pushed out on the
rebound by a scrawny guard.

Hopefully was just them few games.

I actually agree. I dont spam steal. I only steal when I see an opportunity to do it on ball. I have a guy with pick pocket or active hands, and its pretty much useless since I get called for it. I only think it should be lowered(just a little) only because of those 2 sig skills, which 2K gave us this year.

I love it, fouls get called and I'm at the free throw line awesome to me just improved my online experiance.. Now I just need the contact layups success to go up a little

I like how they've tweaked it and I've yet to experience a call EVERY time the steal button is pressed like I've been reading on here. My player is only rated 67 for stealing but I've definitely gotten a few on-ball steals since the patch.. Of course I've had my share of reach ins called (RARELY after pressing it once), but that's the risk/reward of on ball stealing. By using a mix of the right stick, the L trigger, and the occasional steal button, I havent seen too many fouls or too few on ball steals, and hopefully they won't change this, I think the game is playing really well.

U sir! are my new internet hero with this statement..I have no prob if a point guard strips a center or pf dang near every time but PG on PG or SG.. NO!!

Go look in the roster/slider forums, there is a tool that allows mycareer fellas to do their sliders.

Half of those tools are for Xbox and PC. I have yet to come across a tool for PS3.
