I know I'm making the issue worse simply by replying, but this is one of the most horrible threads I've seen on OS in any forum in a long time - and I've been here a while. It has nothing to do with online versus offline, it's about being sensible.

It shows just how childish and selfish some people can be.
You're seriously calling for me to be banned because I vented my frustration due to me coming fresh off being cheesed by a Brandon Jennings user all game long?

Okay, I understand I came in here a bit too hostile and aggressive, but this is an issue that needs to be addressed pronto though? Its not some Nike ID shoe glitch, its a game breaking glitch that allows a user to (at their own digression) to use and abuse, and win at will. I had a Lakers user on the ropes, I was up by 7 with 48 secs left. We'd both played a legitimate game till this point. He then starts to jack these glitch shots up with Kobe hitting all but 1. He takes the lead with 0.3 secs left all off of euro three cheese and gets the win.

It's a game breaking issue that I (me, myself) feel is not discussed nearly enough resulting in it being "swept underneath the rug ". I wouldn't be upset if I hadn't seen this all happen before (last year) with spin dunks that were never addressed.

Just as Charging in 2k10, Cherry Picking and Shot Timing in 2k11 and now Reaching In fouls in 2k13, an online only issue threatens to dumb down and diminish offline gaming.

I don't mind 2k addressing online only issues if they don't diminish or dumb down the offline game, but given the past "fixes" that have been pushed out I foresee yet another aspect of the offline game being destroyed because online cheesers chose to exploit the video game.

As a result of online only issues, my current game has: 1 charge being called every 30 games, no realistic fast breaks done, and a reach in foul being called at unrealistic high frequencies.

In the hundreds of offline games I played, not once was the Eurostep exploited. So, excuse me when I say your "game-breaking" exploit is not so "game-breaking" after-all.

I sincerely hope that 2k can and will fix this in such a way that the offline experience is not effected by the fix - but looking at the results from "fixes" as recent as this last patch, I doubt it will be done.

In my opinion 2k should leave it as it is, unless they can fix it without changing the offline experience; too many times, my gaming experience has been changed because others can not resist exploiting a video game in a mode I will never play just for the very reason that a cheeser will never resist exploiting if they can.

Uh. That's also very selfish thoughts on your part right here. I'am not affected by this issue at all and I stll think it should be fixed asap.

Yes. You and the OP are venting that the issue "isn't being discussed enough". The reason would be because most people aren't having to deal with the issue. So yours and the OP's solution is: make the issue more prominant so more people feel the pain. It's immature and selfish imo. As Vni just explained far more eloquently - you just admitted to being selfish regarding the issue. You really don't care about everyone getting a good gameplay experience as much as you care about YOU getting a good gameplay experience. The hell with everyone else.

You're also making the assumption that the issue can easily be fixed, which may not be the case. Again, not every issue is equal. People sitting back childishly and saying "[This issue] got fixed when someone brought it up, I want my issue fixed" is petty. Some of you guys love saying you want the best gameplay experience but you're completely intolerant of any view other than your own.

This is very true. One prime example was during the Community Team Up program where the guys, who by the way were easily some of the most knowledgeable 2K fans I've ever been around, had thoughts on how to "fix" passing. They discussed them in depth when the Dev's arrived and it was explained that the simple fix - in theory - would cause other issues around the game mechanics. Simple "fixes" sometimes just aren't "simple" - if that makes sense.

We're constantly monitoring issues - one being the Eurostep 3 point exploit. Information was delivered to our dev's who are investigating the issue(s). I wish some things were as simple as "adjusting sliders" but it's much more complex than that. Nonetheless, I will always be collecting relevant information for our developers for you guys.

Its not about being selfish just putting it to light about it. LDK answered in this thread so now it can be closed. But plz the same way how you guys argue about Offline has to go the same way for Online also. Yes the majority of this site probably plays offline more but what about those who only play Online? Exactly. Again this thread is not for all of us to argue but to get answers and hopefully fix it.

Really dont understand how every year on here Online and Offline gamers always argue about issues..

Does this mean there's chance for one more patch? Is there a chance of getting a few more fixes squeezed in? If so, 2K13 will end up being the best supported 2K game in a long while given the healthy list of fixes we've received. It could also end up the best game in the series without question. It already is but some still swear by 2K11. Another patch could end any credibility of that claim.

Personally I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't read it here. I know we live in an age where everyone that buys a game thinks everything's fixable immediately, but some of you need to deal with the reality that perhaps there isn't a way to fix the problem easily w/o causing a problem with something else. So you choose to make everyone miserable in hopes of forcing some reaction from 2K? They've said they're aware of the issue; I don't understand the logic behind trying to make more people seek out the problem so they can exploit it also.

I've only had this done to me a couple of times in Blacktop but its incredibly irritating because it almost always goes in with a maxed out My Player.

I'm hopeful that during this next generation of consoles that server side updates will be able to include all aspects of gameplay/A.I. tuning. I don't care who the developer is, game ruining exploits, and/or A.I. flaws in sports games need to be fixed sooner than 1 to 3 months after release. I know that I'm not speaking for everyone, but I'm comfortable saying that I'm speaking for a lot people when I say that the time frame needed to address these issues is sucking the desire to play these games right out of us.

NCAA's safety glitch(which never got fixed), Madden's CPU ineptitude on offense, this Euro-step glitch, these "I win" flaws make everything else in the game pointless and that makes the game simply not fun to play anymore.

I don't disagree with your post. One thing I'd say though is I'm surprised the online-only community hasn't made more of an effort to keep issues like these on the down low. In fact with this particular issue there have been people working to make it more prominent in hopes of forcing a reaction from 2K, when they've said it's not an easy fix. That's the disappointing thing for me. I don't want to sound like grandpa saying "back in my day", but I remember the thrill I got from playing online sports games, first with NFL2K1 and using the DRICAS honor system to track wins losses, to playing Madden on the PS2 years w/o patches, to now. Back in the Madden days we accepted whatever limitations were present. Then whatever roster released with the game was what you had to play with the entire year. And given the game released earlier and earlier in August, even the opening day rosters were out of whack. I remember dealing with exploits like jetpacking in 2004. And 2005 lol.

It really wasn't that long ago. Now it seems patches gives people the impression that *everything* can be fixed or tweaked. Some of the patch requests I've seen for 2K13 are crazy to me. And not only that, online gamers have gotten increasingly belligerent with their demands. I've played about 25 games and have only come across one person that's used this glitch - pretty good ratio if you ask me. But for some people it seems seeing it once out of 10 times is once too many, and would rather the experience be ruined for everyone than try to stomach it. Threads like this do nothing but enhance the profile of the glitch, and some people here are happy with that. Hell some people here openly admit to using it. Used to be a time when OS had far more level-headed members and the greater good meant more than any one person's crusade. Now some seem more than happy to burn down the village if they can't get their way, regardless how much in the minority they are.
