Re: The "I Think this Player Deserves this Sig Skill" Thread
Lol. Such a defensive anchor that Miami only plays him 9 minutes a game.Joel Anthony - Defensive Anchor...if he's on the floor, the Heat are one of the best defenses in the league. When he's not, they tend to be one of the worst defensive teams in the league. One of the best pick-and-roll defenders in the entire league and forces teams out of their comfort zones on a regular basis. (Now if only he had any form of an offensive game whatsoever.)Comment

Re: The "I Think this Player Deserves this Sig Skill" Thread
I really think overall they nailed it, but a few I think could be considered:
KG - Spot Up Shooter
Pierce - Shot Creator
Joe Johnson - Ankle Breaker
Westbrook - swap out either Ankle Breaker or Pickpocket for Posterizer (I mean hey....we see this in action in the intro!
)
R. Hamilton - Corner Specialist or Spot Up (Just seems like he should have SOME kind of jump shooting SS.)
LeBron - Floor General (I know this is mainly [only?] for PGs, but I think he's definitely worthy of it. Not sure which SS you'd replace though.)Comment

Re: The "I Think this Player Deserves this Sig Skill" Thread
I don't really agree with Battier getting Spot-Up shooter. He's shooting a mere 31 percent from 3 that isn't in the corner. However, he's lights-out from both corners, so I think just giving him Corner Specialist is perfect.Shane Battier - Spot-up Shooter...he's been a spot-up shooter for years now and is shooting over 40% from 3PT-range so far this season, with almost all of his 3's coming off of spot-up's.
Ray Allen - Deadeye...if he gets even a bit of space he can launch and hit it, no matter if defenders are closing out late or not.
Joel Anthony - Defensive Anchor...if he's on the floor, the Heat are one of the best defenses in the league. When he's not, they tend to be one of the worst defensive teams in the league. One of the best pick-and-roll defenders in the entire league and forces teams out of their comfort zones on a regular basis. (Now if only he had any form of an offensive game whatsoever.)
Rashard Lewis - Spot-up Shooter...I really don't need to explain this one as spotting up for jumpers and playing sparingly in the post is all he does at this point in his career.
I do believe Ray Ray already has Deadeye...
Joel Anthony is a great defender, no doubt about it. But saying Miami is one of the worst defensive teams in the league with him not on the floor is a stretch. You're underrating Bosh's defensive ability and overrating Anthony's. There's a reason as to why he has reduced minutes this year.
Rashard should NOT receive spot-up shooter. Just because that's all he is in this part of his career does not mean he's one of the best spot-up guys. He is shooting well this year, but I wouldn't give him the skill because of his troubles the past few years, and he already has a pretty good 3 point shot on the game.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: The "I Think this Player Deserves this Sig Skill" Thread
I disagree.
Camby -Players with this skill will dive for loose balls more vigorously, come out on top in box battles and such. Your speed gets a boost while diving for loose balls.Faried -Outstanding defensive player... Excellent shot blocker coming from the weak side... Great rebounding skills... Able to hit the occasional mid-range shot... Not a lot of low-post moves... Will not get many touches... Will not complain about it.A hustle player... Works very hard on the boards... Exceptional rebounder... Incredible athlete... Great body control... Acrobatic finisher... Must develop his perimeter game... Not quite a scorer.Comment

In your quote for the skill it says "come out on top in box battles and such".That's what Camby does.He is a defender, and rebounder all the time for how ever many years he has been in the NBA now.Comment
