Why does 2/7 Block per Game...108 this season not be an Eraser.
So a guy who gets less blocks but smacks it into the stands is an Eraser?Comment

Re: The "I Think this Player Deserves this Sig Skill" Thread
I was going to start a thread about a couple players, but this seems like a better idea.
Holiday already has dimer. Got it a couple weeks ago.
I guess you could give Evan Turner corner specialist if you knock down his 3 point rating. Looking back that's probably how they should have done it. He has to get the Scrapper sig though. I think this is a must. Statistically, he is one of the best, if not the best, rebounding guards of all-time!!! They also need to give him the ability to push the ball after a rebound (I forget what its called). He almost always pushes the ball after a rebound, not to mention he plays the point sometimes.
Even though I haven't seen it work, I would give Thaddeus Young the Charge Card sig skill.
I feel like Lavoy Allen needs Bruiser to give him some sort of presence on the defensive end.
If I had to take something away, I think Nick Young has corner specialist. Haven't seen him hit too many corner 3s this season.
nick young should have "Chucker", and the computer would auto-shoot for you within 2 seconds of getting the ball. I hate all philly teams and love the fact that you are stuck with him; might be one of the worst players in the nba.Comment

The Gordon Hayward request for chasedown artist is mentioned a lot in this thread. I hope 2k takes time to read this. He really deserves it.
I think they should remove Acrobat from Austin Rivers.Comment

Also, I'd think about giving Bosh Antifreeze. His spot up J is pretty darned consistent (though you wouldn't think that last night). If guys like Scola and ZBo can have AF, CB should at least be considered for it.Comment

Re: The "I Think this Player Deserves this Sig Skill" Thread
He severely limits their offense, plus he was injured for the first handful of games of the season, so his minutes per game aren't great.
Looked at the data and you're correct about Battier, Allen and Lewis. Battier, most of the time (he goes on streaks at times), hits his 3's from the corners. Allen did already have Deadeye and somehow I missed it, and Lewis hasn't had a large enough of a sample-size to deserve the spot-up shooter signature skill.I don't really agree with Battier getting Spot-Up shooter. He's shooting a mere 31 percent from 3 that isn't in the corner. However, he's lights-out from both corners, so I think just giving him Corner Specialist is perfect.
I do believe Ray Ray already has Deadeye...
Joel Anthony is a great defender, no doubt about it. But saying Miami is one of the worst defensive teams in the league with him not on the floor is a stretch. You're underrating Bosh's defensive ability and overrating Anthony's. There's a reason as to why he has reduced minutes this year.
Rashard should NOT receive spot-up shooter. Just because that's all he is in this part of his career does not mean he's one of the best spot-up guys. He is shooting well this year, but I wouldn't give him the skill because of his troubles the past few years, and he already has a pretty good 3 point shot on the game.
In regards to Anthony, when I did post this, that actually was the case; their defensive efficiency was in the bottom 10 when Anthony wasn't playing double-digit minutes, and in the top 10 when he did play double-digit minutes. Hard to believe that's a coincidence to me. Might be a moot point though as their defense has improved in the last several weeks, but he is still most definitely, IMO, their defensive anchor as when he's out there, it still noticeably improves their defense and allows them to constantly blitz pick-and-roll's, force turnovers, and get out in transition. The definition of this signature skill is making teammates better on defense and this applies perfectly to Joel Anthony. Also, his minutes aren't really that reduced; nobody really paid attention to this but he was injured for the first 2-3 weeks of the season and as such he only sparingly played. Regardless, he's never going to get a ton of minutes because he hurts the offense, despite how great he is on the defensive end of the floor.
He certainly has come a long way, thanks to Riley, Spolestra, and the rest of the Heat coaches devoting a ton of time to developing his game. Now if only he had at least somewhat of an offensive game, lol.
I completely agree with this, he should have been one of the main reasons to add this signature skill.
While his last two games have been poor efficiency-wise, I agree with you; on the norm, he's a heck of a shooter from mid-range and almost never falters.Last edited by Freak123; 01-18-2013, 08:14 AM.Comment
