It's their money, and HE works for his money. If they want to spend it on VC, then that's he business. Also, some people genuinely don't have time to grind their player. Some people do have lives outside of video games. -

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
what didn't i read correctly? you're telling me you used your own created my player every game? if not, all of your stats, and everything you stand for is worthless. and i know what your username is, hence that line in my last post.Comment

It's not that deep. I would think that the people who buy VC already have some type of skill using the My Player mode. Why does it even matter to you? A gamer is a gamer. A person grinding his player for two weeks (or months depending on their personal life) is no more a skilled player than the one who "bought" his player.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
Just some things I would like for a future Crew mode:
- If a human player fouls out of the game, he should be kicked out of the game. Period. He should not be allowed to just take control of the human CPU. That would punish people who just want to reach all game. Also, lower the maximum fouls to five, seeing as most games will be five minutes per quarter.
- Show the playart if we decide to call plays. Don't just show a bunch of flashing clear circles. Also, give us the option whether we want to see the play art or not. Some of us might be able to run our offense more fluidly if we just see what play is being called and just get into our positions.
- Give us the option to choose our inbound plays in a timeout.
- MOST IMPORTANT POINT: DO NOT let people take their offline MyPlayers online. I think this is what you were planning anyway, but this is just a reminder. All Crew players should all start off with the same low ratings. How should they be allowed to improve them? Well that brings me onto my next point, which is almost as important.
- 2nd MOST IMPORTANT POINT: DO NOT allow people to buy skill points or VC to make their crew player better. Not only does this mean that ppl shouldn't be allowed to use real money to make their players better, they shouldn't be allowed to use SP or VC they've earned from other modes. In fact, SP should NOT exist in this mode, and VC should only be used to buy player accessories (none of which you should provide any silly boost like getting Jordan shoes shouldn't give you +10 Dunk or Speed).
The ONLY WAY your player should be able to get better is through games, and to a MUCH lesser extent, pick up games. Each player should be able to choose their player's height, weight etc., but NOT their playstyle. All PGs should be given exactly the same stats, same with SGs, SF's etc.
Physical stats should be COMPLETELY randomised. In fact if it were up to me, I would have Crew be split into two modes, Arcade and Sim. On Sim, even your height and weight, etc. should be randomised, because in real life, you can't just arbitrarily choose your height and weight, can you?
The way the player should be able to increase his stats is to do particular things in a game, and those things should directly correspond to what stats get increased. So no more of this hitting 10/10 from 3pt and gaining SP to spend on your dunk rating. NO. If you do something like that from 3, you should get something like a +10 3pt rating. FIFA already does this with a "Be a Pro Mode", and WWE does something like this in its career mode, so 2K already has games to copy this idea from.
Ratings should also be able to DECREASE, if you have a series of bad games. The ratings should be DYNAMIC.
Oh yeah, another thing. NO signature skills on this mode WHATSOEVER. It needs to be completely organic. I want the CPU logic to interfere as LITTLE as possible.
This is what Crew mode, in a word, needs to be: COMPETITIVE.
It should not be another dunk and cheesefest. Nearly every online mode on this game is already that. 2K really needs to some original thinking with this mode, and be able to properly implement it on the first try.
There need be no more complaints of people complaining about having to play the CPU when people play off-ball defense, because this time they really will be going 1 on 1.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
Yea bruh, all I'm really getting from that post is he finds it okay to hack your player as long as it keeps you competitive.
I don't think the best player on 2K has to buy his skill. Knowing when to cut doesn't have to be done be a 99 overall, I can cut to the rim with Kwame Brown and get an easy dunk. Cutting is the most basic thing. I can hit a 3 with Willie Green lol, he's like a 70 overall.
All I'm saying is, if you're claiming to be "one of the best", it shouldn't be hard at all to go online (even with a 70 overall) and compete. I do it daily. It's no fun to me to have the same my player, I restart often because I know I don't need maxed stats.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
This x 100000000. This is probably why I hate Team-Up on GB, cause everyone wants to be the Heat or Thunder. I used to love playing the blacktop 5 on 5's and be a 76 overall and find myself defending a 99 bum and absolutely destroy him ha. Just because someone is a 99 overall doesn't make them good, hell majority of those players still play the same way, I usually get up to about 92-93 overall and then just stop updating him cause he's good enough to do what it is I want him to do.Comment

Personally I could care less about my players being incorporated in crew, but to think they won't incorporate VC is foolish.
I don't expect crew to come back though

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
I agree if its too difficult to put crew mode in the game with the my player issues just put it in as a mode to use regular teams. Might not be as fun for the people who love my player but still adds a competitive team up mode to the gameComment

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
I'm sure 2K will fix the 10 ft. players, but there's no way they'll be able to stop all the cheesiness that majority of the top teams will do. In 2K11 I remember it was the spin-dunk abuse and reverse layup.Comment

you must be another uncapped one. it matters to me because you're cheating. sure maybe you do have some skill, but that is all null and void when you commit murder by uncapping. this bannedfromleaderboards guy is a cringe worthy bragger, yet the whole time he's been nothing but a cheat. 100 yard dash, and he's got a 99 yard head start. just find another hobby
Personally, I didn't pay for my player, but I played a lot of ranked games. By the time I finally decided to spend the VC 3 weeks later, I had enough to create an 85+ player. Would you consider me a cheater, since I got my VC by other means and was able to create an all-star player right away?
If it was up to me, I wish other games would use the concept more. I hate grinding to unlock my guns in COD.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Crew Mode:Bring This Mode Back!
To people harping about VC, it's pointless. It doesn't even matter if they buy stats or not, if you're better then them, you're just better. Uncapped hacks are stupid, I agree, and I do not wish to encounter them, but the buying VC thing is trivial. It's seriously a small issue that people are railroading to make it into a larger issue. People keep acting like a guy that buys his player to 99 OVR is instantly going to be better than them and it's simply not true. Maybe if the guy has some skill before hand, but more often than not, he won't. Same way I look at the kids with the +10 blue diamond BS online: "Cool diamonds, Come into the paint and I'll still swat that to the 5th row".Female Russell Westbrook.

I swear dudes on this forum be killing me. Like seriously, in the entire world, there are only like about 500 of you who are actually good at this game...FACTS!! 8 billion people on the planet....do the math!
Call me cocky, or whatever you want, but alot of yall dont know nothing about basketball. I give it up to peoples like vannwolfhawk, vni, bedwardroy, optik, and a few others who try their best to break down 2k for the rest of the community, but the rest of yall who stay hating and complaining about how bad the game is, and crying about 99 myplayers, do me a favor, either get better basketball I.Q and better understanding of basketball and play with people and against people that are better than you and who cheese you so you can get used to their style so you can adjust to them, or just sthu already and quit complaining....
