Re: Paul George
the only problem I have with George on this game is his speed and dribbling. It's so hard running fast breaks with him because he dribbles like a center on this game. Plus they need to bump his speed a little. Other than that, I'm fine with how they have him.
Oh and they could probably fix that hitch in his shot, even though I still hit threes with him.Comment

Re: Paul George
Paul George and Jeff Green need a overhaul on this game they both feel slow as hell and non Atheltic unlike their real life counter parts. But they give that bum JR a 84 rating because he played great for 1 month, but George and Green play elite Defense and play great for a long time.Comment

Re: Paul George
And what did the hicks find out Tuesday dude? That they're overmatched when DJ Augustine doesn't have a career game? Or that you can't stop melo when he plays like he gives a damn?Comment

Re: Paul George
Pacers play 2 at home now. If they win both the Knicks are in a bad spot.
Taking 1 at MSG means a lot.Comment

Re: Paul George
You on the other hand point to Augustin's "career night" (16 points on 5-6 shooting) and say the Pacers are "overmatched" otherwise? Really?
Of course you fail to mention Prigioni putting up 10/4/4 on 100% shooting and Martin going 5/6 from the field in game 2 compensating for J.R. Smith playing like, well, J.R.Smith...just can't comprehend how people can point to singular good/bad games of some random player to justify their bias towards certain teams.
I always thought being a "fan" simply means supporting your team no matter what, but it doesn't mean you have to mindlessly assume superiority of your favourites without backing it up with any kind of substance.
Also, did Augustin have a game above the performance you can reasonably expect from him? Absolutely. But come on now, Melo has a career playoff FG% of 41.5. So basically, by your standards, Anthony did have a "career night in game 2 as well...but you wouldn't agree on that of course, right?
It's quite simple. Can we expect this production from Augustin in the long term? Nope. But we shouldn't expect Melo to shoot 50% from the field on high volume, too.
On the other hand, at least every shot Melo takes is a possession not wasted by J.R.Smith. So even though I'm not the biggest Melo fan in the world, I'd like to see him take away as many shots as possible from his sidekick. I mean seriously...you might disagree since you're a Knicks fan...but is this guy controlled by some 12 year old video gamer watching the game on TV? So in some sense, what else is Melo supposed to do?
I'd say the biggest advantage of the Knicks is actually their depth at PG. Indiana has no real playmaker being able to slow things down in critical moments. Basically, if the Pacers had someone like Prigioni off the bench, the series could be over rather quickly. Felton/Kidd/Prigioni is top notch, and as a Mavs fan, I'd love to have bench guy Prigioni as a full time starter. Great underrated player.Last edited by mango_prom; 05-08-2013, 05:55 AM.Comment

Re: Paul George
I love prigioni ( no homo) he always making the right decisions, playing great defense, making the open 3. Getting the ball to the right person. I it Wasent for the fact that j-Kidd comes up big n other ways besides scoring I would bench Kidd bum ***. I really hope Pablo comes back next year and doesn't retire.
George should be a little more quicker and have more ball control. He feels slow in 2k. Besides that his offensive stats are good to me. A good 3pt shooter with a shaky middle game and can finish at the rimComment

And you're right about Kidd. He's kinda frustrating to watch at times, but on the other hand he's still pulling off plays like the bounce pass to Martin yesterday...on a good night Kidd is still able to turn limited offensive players like Chandler and Martin into effective assets. I'm not a Knicks fan and all the Melo/Smith homers really make it hard to root for them at least to me. But the rest of the roster is pretty cool. Kidd/Martin/Chandler/Shumpert/Prigioni/Novak...some serious old school players there.
About George, I think pretty much every non-superstar feels kinda sluggish in 2k13. It's just the way the game is designed. His ratings are fine, but the game engine limits what we can do with more specialized players.Last edited by mango_prom; 05-08-2013, 09:28 AM.Comment

Re: Paul George
Vogel called that timeout, and New York went on 30-2 run after that. It was most bizarre thing that I ever seen in basketball considering Indiana's body language was pretty poise up until that point.
IMHO, it was more about Indiana mysteriously collapsing and unable to hit the broadside of a barn than New York making some magical adjustment to stop them. The ONLY thing that I'm getting from this series is that Indiana is beating THEMSELVES.Comment

can we keep this respectful?
no need to insult teams/players in here when its a thread about paul george's 2k ratings....Comment

Re: Paul George
Overmatched? Really? Indiana had a 4 point lead in the 3rd quarter after committing 13 turnovers. Personally, I thought the game was OVER, because if New York couldn't handle Indiana when they were making a ton of turnovers, then they sure wasn't going to handle them when they got their turnovers under control.

Re: Paul George
If going 10 minutes without a single basket from the field isn't overmatched I have no idea what is. The knicks locked down on d, the pacers panicked and failed to play any offense or defense. Crushing win even with our second best scorer playing like absolute garbage.Comment

Re: Paul George
as an un biased basketball fan here
its still the pacers who i give the edge too, granted the knicks are getting heavily favored by the whistles.
im still waiting for JR smith to show up though after running his mouth in the boston seriesComment

Re: Paul George
For one Pacers didn't play Team ball like they normally do yesterday they got out rebounded. Also Pacers did what they had to do and that was steal homecourt advantage. I don't know how this knicks fan is acting like the knicks are superior because they won a game they need to win or get swept.Comment
