Total Sim Control

In a 30 team association, using Total Sim Control (Quick shot, box out, pressure ball etc) i have struggled to get good sim results for the 29 teams that i don't play with in regards to: no where near enough 3ptFGA per game, too many FTA, FG% too high for most teams etc.

Is there anyone who has had some decent success with the right settings in Total Sim Control for each team that would be able to share? Thanks.

Better rosters would help you more than total sim control settings.

Yeah i am already using a very good one (Collab Roster). And i thought TSC played a big part in sim stats. Anyone got any suggestions for it?

Tough to get correct FTAs w/ TSC tho, at least imo, because 2K's engine gives 3 pt specialists and jump shooters WAY too many free throws.

Yeah I agree, I guess my number 1 issue is the complete lack of three point attempts. I would be content if i could just fix this at least. The league leader has about 20 and the lowest in the league is 9 (grizzlies). Should I just change half the teams shot selection to 'outside shots'?
And remove 'drive' from any teams that have it?

Actually I already tried those lol, but since I'm using a different roster they don't mesh well.

I would but apart from these sim stats issues it is a great roster. I'm sure once I figure what to set each team these issues will be fixed, but right now I just have no idea what to put them at.

Pretty surprised that 7 months after 2k13 came out and no has posted a spreadsheet or something of what their TSC settings are.

Fairly sure some1 on here has TSC settings for every team, it's in a 30 team association guide if I remember correctly. Has a lot of other nice stuff too.

some rosters are made to work for sim, some are made to work more for actual games than sim.

i myself have very very close to actual NBA stats in my sim gameplay. it's all about the ratings/tendencies of the players..i've still got 2k default coach profile tendencies.

increase the 3pt tendencies of the players themselves and change draw foul/commit foul tendencies

Thanks, out of curiosity do coaching profiles have an effect on sim stats? Ive seen some people say they do and some say they don't.

Also do you have a formula that you use for calculating each players 3pt tendency?

for coaching not that i know of.

for my tendency i take a players total FG attempts during the season, then divide that # by 1/10th of his FGA per 40 minutes.. i then divide his 3PT attempts by that number

for shot tendency i do FGA per 40 x 5
EX: player A shoots 17.5 times per 40 min, has 1000 total FGA, has 200 3pt FGA,

17.5 x 5 --->88 shot tendency
1000/1.75 --->>571.43----> 200/571.43---->35 3pt tendency

the overall formula if you have a calculator is (3ptFGA)/((FGA)/(FGAp40/10))

Thanks for the tip, did a quick google search and just found eaglerock's association guide, which includes TSC! Will implement the settings next time I get a chance and see if i get better results. I suggest everyone takes a look at his guide, it is really great work.
