Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations
I'd love to go and I clearly don't hold anything back when it comes to gameplay...but I they really need to send some OS vets up here like
alabamaRob knows his stuff (we were in philly league together
Boric allstar knows his stuff too (we played a lot of games as well
and plenty other people too. besides Vann everybody else that went last year just basically plays MyPlayer it seems (chrissmoove plays myteam as well)
we need people to get on them about actual gameplay not people who want to create players and try to score 100 points every game with their my playerComment

So I figured out who as a whole fan community should go and I'll do it as like a team OS thing.

I also would love to see iAmLillard, Shady, Hawk23, Razor, JaoSming, and Andrew from NLSC to add some PC love to 2K.
And since people like to plug themselves...
...nahhh, I'll just pass the ideas later on. I'm just a "kid"anyway, like I deserve to go to Novato to see 2K14 anyway. The 25 names I just mentioned are the top of my list in terms of who deserves to help improve the game.Last edited by MarvinOida; 07-23-2013, 02:17 AM.Xbox 360 Rosters:

My vote
Smoove - his insight can't be missed, and his word in the 2k community holds too much weight.
Shakedown2012 - His passion, and ability to break down the subtle parts of the game is priceless.
To whomever makes the trip this year, I'd suggest to attack the issues more, instead of being in awe of the experience and letting so many things go by. Don't be so submissive with some of the excusives the devs give, you guys are reppin for us, demand clear answers to why things are not how we expect them.Comment

Wut? Don't understand this comment. "He's gotten too edit happy with players already currently in the game."Xbox 360 Rosters:

Speaking of players that are already in the game that have been adjusted by 2k developers (statwise), there stats have already been evaluated, but Bed's rosters have a large amount of these players ratings adjusted, which isn't needed.Comment

OS Community rosters are more better and more accurate than any 2K roster out. Plain fact and been true for a long time.Xbox 360 Rosters:

Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations
Has to be balance of Youtube people (Yeah their on Youtube, but don't act like they know nothing about Basketball) and people from OS and NSLC. IDK how many people can go or what's limit. But I'm thinking 4 from YT, 3 from OS and 3 from NSLC which will make it 10 people, seems fair.Last edited by SoAwesome; 07-23-2013, 06:53 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations
I saw someone vote me in. Heh, thanks, but I'm already part of VC/2K Sports, so don't worry about it. My papers are done and will be in my hands today, and I'm flying to SFO this Friday. Saturday's going to be my first official day at the office, and I sincerely can't wait to meet the people that are picked to represent the community. I know I may have talked with some of you in the past both here and over at the NLSC, but this is going to be a whole different experience.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations
My vote goes to jersez and jerseyreign.
But I'am done hoping for a very high quality product.
If you guys can at least make sure there are defensive counter animation for most offensive moves (wether it is shooting animations, up&unders or just isomotion, inside contact) and that spacing (no more random cutting) and passing (terrible passing animation, passing speed) has improved that will do it for me. Also has player movements improved? Are we still stuck on so many animation on the perimeter? Do defenders still trigger wierd and annoying different stances to the offensive player with the ball?
2K14 will be another good game with great attention to aesthetic details and mediocre attention to fundamentals and rosters and the usual lack of polish.Last edited by Vni; 07-23-2013, 06:16 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations
Also consider that at these events you may not be able to play the game at your favorite camera angle or play with a team you know the best.
Also a LOT of stuff your seeing is brand new, so it makes it difficult to see what's new that isn't working. And some old stuff that you initially think IS fixed after playing for a few weeks you may feel differently.
Plus it's the new version of the game you have waited all year to play... There is a bit of inherent excitement there.
If you combine all of that with limited playtime guys are truly giving their best opinion at the time.
Plus if they are still working on the game after our guys leave things can always change for better or worse.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations
What most of the conspiracy theory people fail to understand is that the members arent even handed a complete version of the game, they interact with a very limited portion of it, like a demo but of a much early build.
There were people wanting to "hang" the members when they probably were given a very close version of the demo that was played in gamescon and that later was also available to us all as a preview of the game. In such builds it was hard to identify (I know I didnt) any of the issues we later acknowledged, and we only did so after many hours and games and modes played.
If the devs are truely gathering info and willing to try and further implement the corrections/suggestions, these events are very helpfull.
I think that 2k does a commendable job of trying to appeal to both markets: sim heads and casuals, but I would like to make a suggestion tho. I would like 2K to do 2 separate events as those 2 markets are quite that distinct. As I have said before, there is only so much that a sole sim (or casual) representant can contribute, such mixed groups would be no better than a dev trying to gather info from the multitude of threads (even if many are usefull) here at OS, the message is that diluted.
The message from those very specific communities should get more clear if the groups are focused. So here is to hope for that and for what Chris (LD2K) said, about being able to bring those groups early on the dev cycle so some of the suggestions/corrections can be implemented.Last edited by ffaacc03; 07-23-2013, 01:06 PM.Comment
