Definitely had the most fun with 2K11.

Didn't enjoy 2K12 all that much. Speed didn't matter, the pick n' roll game was busted, weird AI glitches, etc. Ambitious game but incredibly flawed.

2k11 hands down. The game had its flaws but it was easily the best brand of basketball that I have played. The worst game was 2k12.

Most fun to least fun (current gen, 3 games, it was all fun)

1. 2K11 (PC that year, mods + gameplay = Great, playing with a keyboard was hard, but eventually it buffed out when I got an Xbox/wireless adapter)

2. 2K13 (my first experience editing an entire roster with RED MC. Great game, especially if you let go being sim for a game. RayRays roster, Sellaz's roster are great for those in need of a classic team taste, vtcrb's FIBA roster are great, while all the current roster are great, even rosters from me, BAROCKAFELLA, and other that AREN'T about sim, picking it up and playing them is fun)

3. 2K12 (I loved the challenge of the game, yeah we had armpit blocks, but the ball actually had physics and reacted when it was touched, maybe too much, but better than 2K13, Sellaz' Roster and the VTCRB/Rondo is God Collab inspired me to check out REDitor)

Getting the fanboyish part of my response out the way first - I've had fun with every 2K since I made the move in 2K8. I will say 2k12 was the worse since my disc stopped magically working for unknown reasons.

Its hard to pick a favorite because I played the hell outta 2K8/2K9 while in Iraq and have beat up every offering since. I actually chised on a forum with 2k11. I pop 2k13 in on a daily. Ehh, I'll go with 2k8 only because after dealing with whatever I dealt with, it was something I used to clear my head. Plus, the Suns were so fun to play with haha.

2K9 for me actually, because I actually was able to complete an association (meaning winning a chip or at least completing a season) but at that time I wasn't a sim head. The game obviously had its flaws i.e players too big, many exploits etc. But it was the most fun game I played. 2K11 was the most sim game I played however and the best basketball experience despite the exploits.

2k12 was hands down, the worst of them all. It was exploit city. I'm not even sure how you could downgrade a game that much, especially after having one of the, if not the, greatest successes of the series. Doing something sim would get you the worst punishment. Cheesing would always get you the victory. 2K10 is a very close second with the baseline drive cheese. 2k13 would have to come close as well. At least for online play.

The most fun I had with was Nba 2K5 on the PS2. I was just cheesing and playing drunk against my buddy but I just had so much fun. At the time I didn't really care about bugs and glitches, I didn't even really know basketball. I just wanted to humiliate my friend with Shaq and D. Wade.

The game I played the most however and had the best sim experience is definately 2K11. During the course of the year I went from a total noob at the game to a decent player. SPent a lot of time in practice, discovering plays and practicing the post game.

2K13 while still good is my least favourite to this day.

Crew mode and online tourneys had me playing it until the servers kicked for the 3rd time.

Most reviled-2k12
The combination of the removal of crew mode, online tourneys and the terribad servers wad like a kick in the nads.
The way they "secretly" went about omitting modes had made me never pre order games again.

I see alot of dislike for 2k12 in this subject, i gave 2k12 a pass for all the mess ups with the NBA Lock out making things a lil more difficult for 2k that year.

Well, to be fair, I equal loved 2K11 - 2K13. There's always exploits in video games and there was things that were user made in terms of rosters that I really loved. There was little things that those games had that I also liked.

2K11 without a doubt for me was the game I have had the most fun with this generation. That intro is so dope and the inclusion of MJ, Magic Johnson (my all-time favorite player), Larry Bird and a host of others was a nice tip of the cap by 2K to that era of basketball and fans like me that grew up watching those guys play.

I played 2K12 a lot, too, thanks to Greatest Mode and all of the classic rosters.

2K13 is good but I'm not a fan of all the 2K Share restrictions.

I'd say 2K10 was my least favorite. I found Live 10 to be more enjoyable. I didn't think 2K10 was a bad game but I just couldn't get into it.

Yeah every game is going to have exploits, I don't think that's the problem with 2k13, I think the issue is how unbalance the game is.
