You aren't serious right? Stadium be rocking when someone hits a clutch shot or GW. The Staples Center atmosphere isn't on the level of the Warriors or Thunder though, but they do get hype.

Re: Chris Smoove thoughts on NBA 2K14
I agree with everything that was said in this video except the comment about the game winner. Come on son, that's the Lakers house....the weakest arena in the NBA. Lol, a bunch of stuck up, rich, celebrities who come just because they have the money. They don't even cheer.
Now if that would have been the Thunder stadium or the Heat, I might have agreed that something is wrong but the Lakers? Na son, 2K captured their arena perfectly.
Go take a look at any lakers game winners on YouTube, there is ALWAYS a significant reaction. It's not on the level of okc, gsw (lol you really think the Heat have one of the elite crowds? No), but of course they still react.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove thoughts on NBA 2K14
I think the crowd reaction for that particular situation was an oversight. 2k only planned for the crowd to get excited if the gamewinner clearly occurred before it would be a close call. But 2k didn't think about the referee review. So that situation left the crowd with the default reaction. This is the same reason why Kobe and his teammates didn't get super excited and jump on Kobe.Comment

2k also should add, that if the home team is lossing with the big margin and no chance of coming back, the fans are start to walk away, or leaving the stadium, and also the lakers team, even playing away, they have many fans in other stadium, like when they playing in brooklyn, mavs, or etc, specially when kobe is on fire...Comment

Re: Chris Smoove thoughts on NBA 2K14
he's not trashing it... he was just analyzing and criticizing, lol. All of his claims were valid imo. Only thing i'm surprised he didn't bring up was that felton alley-oop, you RARELY see that in a live game. But yeah, like some posters have said here, it really just does seem like 2k13.5. There is some improvement, but just not enough to warrant a $60 dollar asking price IMO. Can't wait for next gen 2k14 though... hope they release some more footage soonComment

The Laker Bros disagree."I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael JordanComment

Re: Chris Smoove thoughts on NBA 2K14
User started controlling Gasol and didn't react
Kaman went to meet Tyson who then made his move to the rebound. Happens all the time.
That blocking fouls wasn't annoying, dude ran into Melo who was on the air, it's a foul.
Basketball is a dynamic sport, no time to show 300 replays unless there's a break in the action
Pass was behind the defense.
So yeah, I disagree with most of Smoove;s beefComment

Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove thoughts on NBA 2K14
Most of his points were silly and off-base, except about the "leaning layup cheese" as he put it. That animation triggered entirely too much last year. Happy that it maybe completely gone.
His analysis about the Chandler rebound is completely silly since Chandler obviously uses a swim move (new animation perhaps) to avoid the boxout attempt. How many times do we see a hustling player snag a rebound over a crowd of opposing players? Often, especially when its an elite rebounder like Chandler, like the NBA Finals game 6 when it happened on two consecutive Miami possessions.

Re: Chris Smoove thoughts on NBA 2K14
I think Smooth made great points!
The first time I saw the video many of the things he talked about I recognized. It is extremely rare for a player to come from 17ft and grab a rebound when there are already 2-3 other players in great position for a rebound.
Wesley Johnson was in a better position to get the rebound but he jumped no where near the ball. It seemed canned; to many players standing around doing nothing.
I want 2K to be as realistic as it can be and 2K need to take out all the none basketball moves out the game.
One thing Smooth didn't criticize was Melo jumping and gliding to save the ball (4:38); it was a bad animation the same one from 2K12 & 13. That animation isn't realistic and the ball should've been out of bounds.Last edited by keshunleon; 09-09-2013, 09:57 AM.True bout my business, Mane!Comment

Re: Chris Smoove trashes NBA 2K14
Not when he didnt box out Amare, and the 2nd time as he highlighted Kaman just slid out of position. That would've most likely been an offensive foul IRLComment
