that's really odd. i didn't watch the video but in my games I generally average between 20-30 foul shots a game. you sure this was played on SS/SIM? doesn't sound like it from what i'm hearing. if anything, i was concerned people would complain about too many fouls.

They said it was going to be Superstar sim but it could have been superstar default or casual.

Is that 20-30 foul shots combined or per team? 5 minutes as well?

Yes, in the Machinima Live Stream there were no FTs at all, and LD2K said it was on SS/SIM before the game started (now he could have been wrong) but even still with the new contact in/around the paint even on default there still should have been some.

And to piggyback on Infamous, is 20-30, between two teams total, and what length was being played at?

Also since ya here, do the camera flashes w/in the crowd hint at momentum for that play?

20-30 FTA per team in 12 minute quarters. I usually get pretty close to NBA averages for all my stats... which is my goal when tuning this stuff. All-Star or Superstar Sim.

            Beluba,

I am not sure you checked this out too. No data was given about foul amounts but an OS'er states that they had to up the foul slider up, link below. He was playing 11min SS Sim sliders

I will say fouling depends on your gamestyle you use, do go to the post often, aggressive press and reach or you prefer a perimeter game floppy and such will not yield much fouls.

I think the issue comes from the fact that when you sim the games there are a lot of shooting fouls but when two humans play there are barely any. I think it was already this way in 2K13.

I suspect that the lack of fouls is tied to a general lack of sim gameplay and the timing issue that LD2k mentioned upthread. I didn't see any pump-fakes on the perimeter or biting in pumpfakes. I also saw very few player controlled contested baskets in the lane. More of those plays should lead to more foul shots.

Bad sample and small sample size.

Is this the final version of the game in terms of art? Does Chandler Parsons really have that face again this year?

Tbh Beluba is probably getting the right amount of FTA because he is playing the way you should. The live stream didn't really resemble an actual basketball game. As someone else said, for Machima and LD2K there were no pump fakes on the perimeter, no post ups, no plays, no drives that led to contested shots, all of which would have contributed to a normal amount of FTA.

The kids won't like it. It's going to be a bunch of complaints about scoring difficulty.
