In the knicks lakers game there were some serious collisions pretty often.

I guess they did this to make up for no demo this year.

Dribbling seems stiff...and I haven't seen many moves in any 2k vids...im worried about isomotion this year.

The game looked great. Everything to me screamed polish! Very fluid player movement, outstanding animations of course this is 2K we'er talking about, and the spacing and defense looked phenomenal, minus the lack of skill of the human players. Who ever says this game looks and plays like last years game obviously either never played 2K13 or are just complaining to complain and plan to buy Next Gen regardless of 2K14's improvements. I know personally I can't wait to get my hands on current gen and Next Gen NBA 2K14!

there is a lot of triangle offense for both team, maybe more for the thunder.
natrurally, there is a high post and a low post. it is good. maybe the come back of the real triangle offense for classic bulls team.

I saw one blocking call. It was on Thabeet looked like he tried to flop when Howard was backing down, but no shooting fouls was just odd.

I wish they would have ran some plays, there might have been two times they called plays only to not use them. Oh Houston as some know is a high pace team that runs almost exclusive pick and roll, and iso, I am sure that will change some this year though. I actually expect the spacing to be sort of bad when Howard and Asik on the floor at the same time because the defense should be sagging off of whoever is not on the low block.

Running little to no plays is not good advertising for your product IMO

Horrible how Parsons and Lin have the same faces from 2k12, Lin looks like his photos from highschool and Parsons the ****** from Breaking Bad, judging by these ignored features NBA 2k is slowly turning into CoD..

As it does in Fifa and NCAA, I hate the pre-game montage of highlights that have yet to actually occur.

I do feel for him tho, he is bombarded with all these questions and has to try and do the best of things he knows aint good but that are out of his control. Even more, I bet he could get reprimended when he says that he and ronnie asked for this or that but it didnt get implemented or just partially, as it solely gives credit to them but puts all the blame onto the devs and company, a "we know, we listened, we couldnt do it for this iteration but we will definitively try for next" would of been more propper.

Having said that, this is not an uncommon response, I think I have saw/heard this very same response (yes, the I will get back at you with some points but he have been busy due to NG response) sometime before, maybe in some other gameplay video or interview (think was on Da-Czar broadcast). I have also seen/heard this kind of response even way ealier, on 2012 when 2k13 was about to be released and he said that he would try and get back to us with some some points. We all know how that ended, with TSC being the lone worthy addition (btw, still needs to be expanded, a lot) and just very "few" fixes, yet still major recurrent bugs and glitches (present for the last few years) and still some irritant logic flaws.

Any true follower of 2k knows that the tools to make an educated guess are in place: current gen Association was once again, mostly overlooked. If they dont come upfront and say (even without going into details) we have done some massive or outstanding job on it, like they have said all along of gameplay, that mode/part/area was just not high on the devs to do lists, if at all.

Here is to hope for association being a focus on next gen and for me to get blown away with it, as I was with graphics (going solely by the LBJ reveal trailer).

                          P.S:
I like 2k14 current gen gameplay changes and am buying 2k14 next gen anyways, but each year is getting more difficult to defend the lack of association improvements and the lack of apparent association focus.

1st bold: Agreed, i'd absolutely understand if they just communicated that they didn't have time this year but would make it a top priority for 2k15. But they just keep ignoring the questions in spite of the fact that alot of people have been asking lately. Each year they deflect any questions on Association, and the process just repeats the next year. All we are asking for is an answer one way or the other.

2nd bold: Yeah in theory TSC is a very good concept, but the way it was implemented there just wasn't enough options and the range of results in the sim engine weren't large enough. And you're right, the logic they did have was flawed.

3rd bold: Absolutely, of course i'll still buy next gen for the gameplay anyway, but hopefully with the increased data amount on the disc for NG they finally address what many are saying.

I believe TSC is the way to go, to further separate variables that dictate oncourt results of that of the sim engine. This new feature even allowed us to control things that we previously couldnt, such as teams ppg allowed and other stuff. I welcomed and am looking for it to still be a focus.

I would love it to be exponentially expanded for next gen and while it would benefit of a wider range of results, the sim engine has to also be tweaked to allow the recreation of historic accomplishments and stats, given the propper edits.

Most of the modes logic are flawed, yet, what makes it even more irritating is that we have no say in most of the variables that affect them. We cant decide what team is a seller, buyer or standpat and for how long; we cant decide the draft interest of teams (most potential, better rated, per position, signature skill or role); we cant decide the priorities of the players (money, role, wiining); we cant set team chemestry nor coaches grades; we cant set that the trade value of the team draft picks reflect the value of the mock draft and its prospects on a given timeframe; we cant alter staff payroll nor create coaches/assistants; we cant set a per position depth chart; we dont even have the new CBA fully implemented and therefore arent allowed to use some of the tools real team have at their dispossal when making negotiations, etc, etc.

A thing to keep in mind tho is that while the logic have its flaws and that while it can be addressed, there is a subjective nature among it, hope 2k realizes this. Everything should be editable for oncourt and offcourt (sim engine), nothing should be hidden nor ineditable, this way anyone can have the game simulate the NBA as we each see fit. Here is to hope for that.

I love how something like 'no fouls during the game' and various other aspects that people are noticing are controllable as hell via sliders. The people who put time into perfecting sliders really can change the total feel of a game and can make a lot of negative gripes disappear completely.
