Granted, I've only played since 2k12, so I can't give an opinion on the ones before that. But of the last 3, 2k14 is easily my favorite. I just find it the most fun and, more importantly, the least frustrating of the last 3 games. 2k13 just drove me crazy. Between the complete inability to block anyone, leaning layup cheese, fading 3's, unstoppable dunks, dribbling wildly in the paint without consequence, and nonexistent ball physics, 2k13, while still fun, made me want to pull my hair out much of the time. Current Gen 2k14 seriously addressed all of those issues, and that's the biggest reason that it's my favorite.

Check this out when I first read the post the first game that came to mind was 2k11 hands down... But I also got to give a shot out to 2k2 for the dream cast playing the passing lanes was so much fun back in the day... The next gen 2k14(XB1) is so smooth playing offline the online not so much tho but it's looks awesome. missing a few features so it's been collecting dust I need of an update

For me, 2K 11 is my game. With all the classic teams we worked on, that game will be forever played and NEVER get old. I'm an old school gamer - this game gave me everything I could ever ask for in a single game.

I like/enjoy/tolerate 2K 14. But I'm pretty bored with it. It has some nice graphic appeal, but I really didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

2K 8 was the game the really grabbed my attention as well.

If I could create a "perfect" video game (and I know one will never exist) - it would have 2K 11, 2K 8, and 2K 14 elements all rolled into one.

Putting any online issues aside and just talking about playing games against the CPU I think 14 is an improvement over 13 when you consider graphics and animations.
For those that chose anything over 14 and 13 which to me look better than any previous games what did 2k do better before that you cannot force the game to do now if you adjust the sliders?
I really like the right stick dribbling. I try to play the game like real basketball. What can't you make 14 do that 11 did out of the box?

14 - cg pc- ubr is coming so may/will move ahead of 12

13-pc
07 - 360 - most amazing jump from previous yr .."twas the night before..." video!!!
(If I remember correctly).
would love to see same jump in yr 2 of NG, but doubt it


3,4,5,9,10 not very good at all with 4 being the low point

NG14- worst off-court 2k ever. first 2k ever returned for me

Until 2k brings back signature dribbling I can't put the other games above 11 or 12. 2k11 had the signature dribbling and realistic shot animations. In 2k11 you couldn't just turbo around and jack up threes or turbo into the paint with ease. 2k12 was a good game sans the speed issue which really hurt that game. If 14 had the dribbling, and shooting animations of 11 it would be higher up. Also, the contact layups of 14 are not very realistic.

And to answer the question 11 had sig dribbling and 14 has the every player is chris paul dribbling. That is one main thing 14 doesn't have.

Sorry even with the instability of the next gen its still got the best graphics animation and gameplay out of all

This question is tricky to me. I'd have to go:

2K11 Most exciting fresh gameplay ever in a BB game!

2K13 Best overall gameplay and options off the court ever in a BB game!

2K14 PS4 Best graphics ever in a BB game!


I have to go with my overall fun factor and choosing the game I could NOT wait to play again and again which is 2K13.
