Take a 1 pt lead on the Knicks with 10 minutes left. I intentionally foul to get a rest. Come back in and we're up 6 with 4 minutes to go, I said "cool" cuz I have closer. Get a reach in call for trying to steal the ball from the center who's double teamed and coach sits me till 1.3 seconds left, they're up 2 and they have the ball.

    **** this game.

I just started a PG I played so/so on purpose trying to fall to the Pacers but no I got drafted but the Hawks and omg they are awful. Just dreadfully awful five games in and we are 1-4 and I had to drop 60 to win that game. I don't like ball hogging like that. I hope I get traded asap

I made a SF and got drafted by the Hawks too. Demanded a trade halfway through the year after being in dead last. Got traded to the Heat and ended up winning the championship that year, good stuff.
Although I got player of the game every single game in the finals that we won, Lebron somehow still got the MVP for the finals.

About to enter the playoffs again in my second year with the Heat as either the #1 or #2 seed. Hopefully we can repeat but with me as MVP this time

I demand a trade after 7 games about 19 games in I'm now a Net. Team is much better and I love the that stadium. Going to keep trying to be a Pacer though.

I created a 6'8" Faceup PF and I love the versatility I can give a team. I will be able to play every position basically, once i get my attributes up.

The Rookie Showcase Game was epic! I forget the final score but the game ended up going into double OT. I finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assist, 2 steals & 2 blocks. Ended up getting drafted 5th overall to the Phoenix Suns, which is an excellent fit.

So far through 4 games, I am averaging 9.3 ppg, 3.3 ppg, .5 apg, 1.0 spg, .5 bpg. My best game so far was against the Nets. I had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal & 1 block. All in all, a decent start to my career.

I made a similar SF and I play for the T pups, great fit, but I am wishing they would play me at SG a little so I can back down tiny guys haha

Glad to hear it, it is nice to be on a team that you can actually do something on, I know this isn't the correct forum, but since you respond to everything, what do you think are the best signature skills for an all around SF?

I have SF that I mainly want to score with in MyCareer because I feel defense is way easier in this game than 2k13, so I currently have finisher, acrobat, shot creator, posterizer and closer. I am for sure keeping finisher and shot creator but the rest are up for debate, I missed several 4th quarter free throws with A- releases on a 85 free throw rating and a layup at the buzzer that really make me doubt closer. Any thoughts on if I should go with Deadeye or Ankle Breaker or anything like that?

I am trying to be an all around player, I love dunking when possible (although the bumping in 2k14 makes it really hard to drive) but I am shooting like 55% from three. Any thoughts are appreciated.

                Thanks!

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread

On my SF I use acrobat, finisher, deadeye, dimer, and tenacious rebounder. If you plan on just flat out scoring. I would suggest no rebounder. I average 31ppg, 11 rbg, 7 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals. Just a suggestion I might have done looking back.

Dimer is a must in my opinion. Once you get to about 25 points the double team will start coming. Without Dimer you'll have about 6 turnovers a game. SF doesn't have the handles of a PG so be warned of those double teams. I don't use shot creator because I'm 7 foot tall I can normally just shoot over them I don't need the space.

Looking back I would suggest if you plan on just being a flat out offensive beast. I would try point forward. With a point forward you can get Dimer level 3, any other I believe the max is 70 passing I believe.

So I was go acrobat finisher dimer a must. Try out deadeye/shot creator. Or Microwave/Antifreeze. I like using skills that combines together.

Good luck hope in helps and best of luck.

Dunking is more based on your dunk packages. I don't use Posterized and I throw it down always. Make sure you have under the goal packages baselines.

Even on my PG I have like 34 dunking and I throw down in space.

Thanks for the reply man, I have used Dimer on my PG in the past and great shooters like Battier and Allen would absolutely brick wide open threes and I still often could not pass out of a double team so I really felt like it was a waste.

I am kind of curious about Ankle Breaker to make it easier to get to the rim, have you had any luck with this?

Never used it before. Unfortunately. I don't know how well it work on SF. If you're a SF/PF try to get on a team that will play you at PF. Once you max out your speed and quickness. You will be blowing by people for baseline dunks. No way Tim Duncan type can guard you.

For my PF, the first sig skill I'm going to give him is Screen Outlet. Screen Outlet will give my player a 4 point boost to my shooting attributes if I shoot the ball immediately after setting a screen. Other than this, I don't know what else to get.

I would get tenacious rebounder but I don't spend enough time in the paint for it to be useful. Also, I've been get 5-6 rebounds my last two games so that is enough for me.

What other sig skills would you recommend for a Faceup PF?

As I said before I like using combination skills. If your using Screen Outlet try teaming that up with catch and shoot and deadeye. I would suggest deadeye to any jump shooter. If you're rolling to the basket the way fouls are called I suggest finisher acrobat to everyone that would be driving to the basket. Maybe look at Microwave also. Being a PF if you are in the post at all look at using post proficient the pump faking will help a lot. Plus post proficient with match up well with finisher acrobat. These are all just personal suggestions on how I play and years of 2k experience. These may or may not be the best your your playing style.

I can confirm finisher acrobat work this year but I have read reviews where people are complaining catch and shoot level 3 glitches. Be cautious I can't confirm that.
