Was it something 2K fixed last year or do they not see a problem with it?Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
Created a 7 1' defensive beast and got drafted by Dallas at 13th pick. Starter after playing 7 games into the season. Rebounding still seems broken or maybe because my guy isnt rated high as yet. boxing out doesnt seem to matter at all or I have to add some attribute points to strength.
One thing I liked though, we were playing thunder and Durant was killing us left and right and I had 4 blocks and was really good defensively, then CPU switched me to guard Durant on defensive possessions. In 2k13 there is nothing you could do as a big against lebron or durant since they are not your guy but CPU automatically switched me to guard him for like 10 possessions in a row till score was close to even.
Jeremy lamb takes too many shots(mainly 3 Pointers) even more than Durant. Aaron Brooks starts at PG for the rockets. Both head scratchers really.
Yr 2 i'm add some strngth points to make it look like he been in weight room.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
I don't have the game yet (waiting for next-gen) but I wanted to know is there an option to select the amount of games played per season, similarly to Association mode (i.e., 14, 29, 56 & 82 games)?
In the past it has always been 82 games which I find to be extremely gruelling as I don't really like to sim games and I only play 12 minute quarters for realistic stats.Comment

You're stuck with 2K's sliders but assuming it's the same in 14 as it has been in 11, 12 and 13, you can edit the roster before hand. I tend to do that to sort out any accessory stuff that's going to annoy me, move any players around that 2K hasn't caught up to and this year I'll be tweaking some ratings from the sounds of it! At least for my first player.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
so, i had started over thinking i could do better in the draft (turns out i can't, haha) and made another PG. got drafted to Boston and after a few games asked for a trade to the Knicks (which was granted).
figured i'd start rolling in assists but apparently not. i keep doing pick n fade's with stoudemire or carmelo and THEY ALWAYS PASS. wide open looks and they pass. stoudemire seems to be content jab step while completely open and then pass to someone who is heavily guarded. it kept happening and frustrated me so much i just turned the game off.
i seriously hope bedwardsroy19 can make a good roster 'cause this is ridiculous.|| rv motion graphics. ||Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
The only things you can do is
Suck it up and get your team close (to accomplish the goal)
Suck it up and play it out (but if you're getting blown out that's no fun)
or
suck it up and foul yourself out (no fun)Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
Rebounding: Obviously they did not do much with rebounding from the previous version. I made a max rebounder with any and all sigs maxed out. You would THINK he would be a rebounding juggernaut. Nope. Is he better? A little. If he plus 36 he will average 15 I am guessing...but man you have to work f-Ing hard to do it. YET, a pg with no rebounding skills whatsoever can easily average 6...in fact if you are not then you aren't trying IMO. A SF playing 36 mins should easily average 9 a game with a little work. So, is it work all your sp and sigs to average an extra rebound? I bet I could average close to the 15 rb/g with a guy without any digs and maxed out stats. Lame.Last edited by Alwayscivilmike; 10-04-2013, 08:22 AM.Comment

Tangentially, is there a way to get your teammates to play tighter on perimeter threats? My teammates sag 5-10 feet defending off-ball. With the zippier passes, they don't react quick enough to contest the three even one pass away.Comment

You may have to tweak some ratings. You will definitely have to tweak some player tendencies. Great shooters like Melo and Durant are dribbling into traffic instead of taking wide open threes. Not enough midrange shots across the board.

So you can tell them to play tighter on the perimeter. It's something new that I found by accidentComment

? Do you have to be a PG to do that cause I tried with my SF and it's not available.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
Can't you also adjust the coach's mentality so they order more pressure or double team more? Supposedly this kind of thing tires your guys fast but who cares if it prevents a 90% chance of going in 3 pointer?Comment

So far I haven't seen anything like that. the CPU just double team on their own without any of my input.Comment
