10-7 at this point with the Cavs and I love playing on the defensive side of the ball. I just had 5 blocks and 5 steals. However, I think I may start playing only key games soon because I can see this mode taking forever if I play every game at 8 Min quarters. Either way I'm liking the center position and may actually stick with one position this time lol

Ugh...

No matter how I change the sliders my teammates in MyCareer just won't score!!!

Brook and Harden can't make 3s!!! Meanwhile, CPU teams run 70% 3s...

Also, what's with the aversion to mid-range shots from my teammates? They won't take open mid range shots and usually wait for a defender to pick them up before doing stupid ****.

There are no sliders in MyCareer and what is your team chemistry? The higher it is, the better they play.

Just a fyi, if you use the cheat engine, there are sliders for PC users.

The tendencies and attributes are going to need major overhaul once again this year for me to be satisfied with the play.

The video gameplay of 2k14 is the best in the series. The play during the game of the players is as weak as it was in the last few years.

My hope is that NG will change this with the new engine and abilities of the hardware.

So far in my rookie season with the Bulls we're 34-25 and currently 3rd in the East a game back of the Knicks and 10 off the Heat..
Even though I'm a 6'9" SF they have me at starting at SG which I actually prefer cuz it gives me height advantages on most SG's.. I'm averaging 11.7 PPG, 5.6 RPG on 26.5 MPG and yet I'm not even in the ROY discussion.. I mean I was MVP of the Rising Stars game, I'm able to shoot mid range and get to the rim.. I can't really shoot 3's (50 rating) yet, and I'm working on my handles but it's a work in progress..
I wish 3 pointers weren't so expensive...

Is there supposed to be an option to trade a teammate? It keeps popping up after games, but when I meet with the GM the closest thing is "I don't like playing with a particular player" and the GM always brushes me off.

I'm starting the third year of mycareer as the starting PG of the 6ers, but the roster has stayed almost EXACTLY the same.

PG - Me (85), MCW (improved to like a 78)
SG - James Anderson (77?), Howard Hope (73? 2nd year)
SF - Evan Turner (77?)
PF - Thad Young (81?), Lavoy Allen (67?), Arnett Moultrie (67?), Royce White (67?)
C - Nerlens Noel (85?), Spencer Hawes (71?), Cecil Todd (67? Rookie)

Literally the slowest rebuilding process ever. And I hate playing with Thad, who can't post-up, and ET, who can't shoot. Nerlens and Hope are the only guys on the team worth anything besides maybe MCW who never hits the floor with me out there.

None of my targeted players in the off-season have been signed. And I haven't just been picking players like Lebron either. This past off-season I chose Pau Gasol (79?) and Thomas Robinson (80?) along with a backup PG. Really, we can't get Pau Gasol at the end of his career? I need a big man who can postup. So frustrating.

If your team hits a losing streak, eventually, an option that says: "I'm tired of losing" will be enabled.

It will allow you to suggest up to 5 trade targets. The GM will then try to trade for them or players like them.

For me, I suggested Thomas Robinson and Andre Drummond. My Gm got neither of those guys but he did get Blake Griffin and Al Horford.

The minutes distribution is broken again. I'm starting with the Pelicans and I'm on 40 minutes. My last 3 games, I've played 41 minutes having my 7 minutes rest between the end of the 1st quarter to the middle of the 2nd. So I'm effectively playing from the 4th minute in the 2nd quarter till the end. It's bad because it seems stamina is really important in shooting this year and I can't do anything in the 4th without missing or getting a turnover

For sure tendencies are broken. Perimeter defenders sag off of 3 point shooters too much. Also, 3pt shooting seems to be broken as well. 2 players, 1 with 53 and 1 with 25 3pt shooting both made bailout 3pt shots while challenged. That's not realistic lol...

Meanwhile, the defense effect area seems really off. I have Dead Eye 1, and when taking shots with the CPU defender jumping at about 4 steps away, it still shows as being challenged and Dead Eye activates. Meanwhile, the CPU can and will make a lot of shots while challenged at distances a lot closer than 4 steps. Usually my teammates would challenge between 0-2 steps, and the CPU have a really good chance of dropping those.

It's been 3 years, and the same issue still remains. After only 32 games played, I am already a beast. But I WANT TO BE A TEAM PLAYER. And yet in this "realistic" simulation I can't play good basketball because it's not as rewarding as doing it myself and dropping 40-50 pts every game. A few times I tried playing as I should be as a rookie with only 32 games played, basically a role player and my team loses miserably. But when I started to ball hog and dropping 35-45 points every game with ~60% shooting, my team wins consistently and is now enjoying a 25-7 record, with a 7 game win streak.

I noticed this too. The best way I've found to deal with this is to drive a lot when my stamina is low, because then the defenders' stamina are also low and they'll usually foul me a lot, which I can easily convert into points at the line.

This game is pathetic. I've played this Miami Heat game three times now, and each and every time the game freezes up, and I can't continue.

NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread

On PHI, was hoping to get Royce White traded away, but no luck, and we're past the trade deadline. I mean, he's an okay player, good rebounder, and posts up well, and his offensive aggression inside helps, but is rather we have another outside scorer. With me being a dominating inside presence, he sometime hinders the flow of the offense when I get doubled inside, because of my hesitance to pass to out of the double team when he's outside of 15 feet. But oh well, in stuck with him for now I guess.

And then..today I hear on Bleacher Report that White got waved....😒
