... I think that has more to do with the game as I've upped guys rebound, vertical and hands ratings to 99 and and given them the tenacious rebounder and scrapper sig skill, then simmed the season they still don't crack 14+ rebounds a game.

Rebounds are an issue for the CG ai. I had to lower the offensive awareness league-wide and max out defensive awareness on the top rebounders last year to get them to average above 10 a game. I haven't done anything this year because I've had to start over 5 times but I bet the same limitations that existed last year exist this year.

It has been a bit since posting. This career is so much different than my prior careers that I'm dumbfounded.

My Spurs are playing close to their real life counter-parts. We are 12-3 and the only statistical category that my team is lower than the real life counter part is rebounds. It really is a good feeling when you steal the ball from the opposing PG and both Ginobili and Leonard streak up the court for the fast break ... and this type of play is consistent.

My Spurs are a beast defensively - they are allowing only 91pts a game on average (They are only averaging 96 pts a game) and instead of using rebounding they accomplish this by forcing turnovers (I've seen more 24 second violations in 15 games than I've seen in 3 years prior) and playing true defensive basketball.

We are a game behind the Clippers and are battling the Thunder, Rockets and the Pelicans for the second seed. (Yes, the Pelicans!)

Speaking of the Thunder - they are are last loss and it was a very memorable one. The first 6 possessions for both teams resulted in no basket and the game was tied at the end of every quarter. The matchups were tighter than Clark Kellogg in an airplane bathroom.

That game also showed me that my play-style and structuring of my PG is very much like Westbrook. It seemed that we were mirrors of each other the whole game - he came out on top offensively but I dominated defensively. (6 steals that game is my best so far).

I don't know if 2k did something with their default roster but I swear this career is so different than my prior careers. I regularly check the settings to make sure I'm still on HoF/Sim.

I play with 12 minute quarters and play every game.

Dang with 12 minutes quarters my teams always end up scoring way too much. Like 120's every night. I play on 10.

I've got a few questions:

Is it better to play with custom rosters? How do I give the most realistic player tendencies compared to their real life counterparts?

I'm playing as a 6'5 SG (athletic) and I got drafted by the Wizards at #3. So far its been what I expected. We started off hot and then we kinda cooled down. The only thing that bothers me is that John Wall rarely plays well and Bradley Beal rarely scores 10 or more points. Al Harrington takes WAY too many shots and Otto Porter plays like he shouldn't be in the NBA. Now that I think about it, what a draft to get my guy at 3rd overall and then Otto Porter.

To sum up why jumpshots are annoying in 2k14: On my 3pt shooting last game I missed 3 A+ shots and 1 C+ but I made a C- from 3ft beyond the arc with a defender's hand in my face. Finished 1/5 from 3 (maxed ratings on shooting+consistency ftr). My game before that I had 6 A+ shots (made 1 of them, missed the rest) and made a B+ and a B-, all from 3. Makes 0 sense.

Dimer sig skill is useless. My player still can't make a pass to an open stationary teammate 6 ft away about once every game, teammates will still fumble the catch as often as without the skill, 95% of "contested" passes get stolen/tipped and the 8% bonus to the pass receiver's shot % seems to be either not kicking in or is just too small to make any noticeable difference. I wish we could sell back sig skills we don't want and get VC refund. I'd sell Dimer and Ankle Breaker right away.

Game 1 of Finals thought I would of played the Warriors since they still had most of their real life roster - AI + Howard.

Nope Minnesota Won When I got closed out my series in 5 games. It was 2-2 with home court going towards Warriors.

How in the hell the best team in NBA don't get 1st game home court in NBA finals. IDK rules b/c only play 2k an outside ball but pretty sure If i have best record in NBA and I win every 1st game in postseason I should have home court in Finals

Its all good I won't lose this GAME even if i have to play HERO BALL. But i don't b/c I have Irving and Noel and to other starters who can get points if I put them in right position. if they get 10 points their good unless scoring crazy/fire rarely happens.


Wonder what will happen after in offseason since I'm upcoming FA wonder if 76ers will try to take me in Offseason I will probably stay unless another team has better weapons. Than again I might stay since Finally got Local support over 80 don't want to waste it my moving to another city.

Playing against the Wolves goes my way in match ups compared to playing Warriors where it would of been Even some what.

I am loving everything about the MyCareer mode. Well not everything I guess. The game does not have the James Harden beard style as an option when creating a player. As some of you have noticed, all of the beards don't have any depth or fluff to them. I recently played the game at a friend's house on xboxone and they have it as an option which urked me. Call me corny but I try to create my player to look exactly like how I imagine I would look being NBA worthy. Having this feature would complete my "MyCareer" experience. Sorry I had to vent.

Anyone got any tips for playing on Superstar Sim? I was abusing the cpu on Allstar sim with my PG on the Kings so I bumped it up. Now my teammates are can't make shots, can't defend, can't rebound, foul constantly and the cpu does not miss.

So WE WON THE TITLE with A SWEEP

Now year 9. Just signed a 5 year contract for little under 100 mil with player option on year 4. So got another four years with team than I'm retire at year 12 or 13 at end of this year I will probably be HOF ready so I can retire at any time within next 5 years and Be lock in for HOF.

During Offseason the GM didn't even ask me for players. Since my Local fan support was 87 and we just won the Chip guess he thought it Would be OK to add Another Stud to the mix with Anthony Davis.

So now we have 4 HOF's starting with 3 in Front Court.

Only ok pickup was G.Oden he will be there to give Noel rest when needed.

T. young went to 2nd string and 6th man so far.

2 guard spot is filled with CAPs but idc b/c we don't need any more star Players.

Still have D.Collison as back up PG

So now 2nd string line up is Ok.

As always only Key Games but now I'm bump it up to HOF instead of SS since we have Davis to kind of even the score.

in two games i simmed I'm 4th leading scorer yet I'm best player in League. Which I have no problem with since I don't always have to score to win games. Have other options in starting line up. I can be the closer when everyone gets tired late in games. So i can focus on D until late. Hopefully it will help me get DPOY award or at least make all D team.

It would be tight for me AD and Noel all to make 1st D Team.

I easily have repeat in my system at least two more times out of 4-5 years b/4 i retire with this squad.

Cash strap so this will be same squad for next 3 years.

I can take a long break from 2k now maybe a week to keep it fresh. All i need is one scoring title and I'm good to go along with 55% field goal average to get 12 out of the 15 HOF goals.

lost a game 6 to the knicks, we gotta close out in game 7. seems like CPU played extra well this game to make it even tougher for me.

I played Miami for the first time last night. They beat my Kings by 20, but I put up a double-double in points and assists.

I thought it was awesome when LeBron came up to me in the tunnel after the game, complete with real voice acting.

Imagine if 2K could somehow get voice acting for all the players in this mode. Man, that would be incredible.

I also finally got to ask my GM for a trade out of Sacramento. I like how they let you choose from a list of teams. Hopefully I will end up somewhere that doesn't have 5 point guards on their roster.
