I've heard worse complaints but Shakedown is one of the most mature out of the 2k you tubers

People don't understand that they took out all of the different dunks choices with the pro stick to make it more sim and logical . You get differ dunks depending on the court situation

Loved this sequence...we all know how this would've ended last year after the up and under attempt...

Love the game so far. Plz dont change it. Make them learn to adjust!

Casuals have to learn that you always have to keep your body between the ball and the defender or you will turn it over. Cant just drive into a crowd of defenders anymore.

Also you have to have good angles to drive. Cant just spin layup through defenders and do a up and under for a easy bucket.

I'm probably gonna get both Live and 2k14, waiting to see when I get a ps4 to determine whether I get 2k for ps3 or wait til the end of November to get the ps4 version..

But I like the comments about the tougher defense, I play 12 minute Quarters and I far prefer games with score like 87-85 or 90-80 rather than what I got in 2k13 with the 135-130 games.. Got good games on 2k12 so I'm hoping this would be at least score wise more like that

To be fair, he's not completely wrong on what feels like quicksand effects on defense. CPU seems to shed a little momentum while you gain some at certain moments.

I like that the game feels more explosive as a whole but there are definitely fishy moments especially when the CPU gives up so little penetration due to feet sliding compared to how much you regularly give up because of this year's more difficult perimeter defense.

And it's true that there's a somewhat ridiculous amount of knee steals and kick balls.

Also true that CPU is way more aware of loose balls. You get about 1 out of 10 loose balls and your player just doesn't seem to move with any urgency to the ball he just knocked loose. The CPU ball handler just calmly picks it up most of the time.

I kind of see the problem with this, but I also don't want the game to be to sim because games that are totally sim are no fun. I prefer being in the middle between casual and sim. There should still be a learning curve and it shouldn't be to easy but the game shouldn't be impossible.

So he talked alittle about NBA2K14 and someone asked him how is the game. He responded on air to all the listeners by saying - oh the game sucks, its not good this year, its too hard to score, its too hard to drive in and dunk, the defense is not realistic, don't buy it. I was like wow, this sounds like I will like 2K14 then, because this guy didn't seem to be a SIM basketball game fan by saying this type of stuff/complaints about the game. I was just surprised he said that to all the listeners of don't buy the game, it sucks this year, because he couldn't dunk on 3 and 4 guys at will or score whenever he wanted. Sounds like I will like NBA2K14 when I get it.
You should have made a call to the radio station.

Sim doesn't mean impossible. Developers should put out a product that represents or realistically replicate the sport, first. Those wanting to deviate from a simulation experience should use gameplay sliders to their advantage. Give sport simulation heads what they want. The market is already full of fantasy arcade titles. Leave arcade elements out of the default.

Like I said pre-launch, I really was adamant in my beliefs sim-lovers will appreciate this year's gameplay.

It is deeper, there is more depth and it's much more balanced. I'm glad Superstar/Sim settings are for online. That said, I'm out there live-streaming and playing hours every night with fans, reading comments, forums and much more. We're keeping a close eye on behaviors as well as complaints.

I'm glad so many are enjoying it. And to think, we're closer and closer to next-gen. Just wait until...

I tried a my team game and I swear its a different game. Contested 3pointers one right after another, the othetr guy had 40 points with orlando johnson just by doing a simple pass and shooting.
I had 38 with ledo poster after poster, it was like a mix between dominique wilkins and prime vince. Defense was non existent

I thought online was superstar sim? Like I said this was a totally different experiencie than the regular exhibition, OA and private matches I usually play, where defense is amazing and you know, players actually miss shots... (even on allstar sim which is supposed to be easier.

there is no way my team is on superstar sim. That felt like pro casual

havent tried ranked but I guess its the same

Bleh. MyTeam should be on superstar/sim, especially since you're already playing with overpowered rosters.
